Now users with FANATEC wheel do not have to unplog the H Shifter to use the sequential pedals.

When you are in sand, and press on gas, rear tires dig in more

Anyone knows when in replay mode how to get that inside view cockpit when you can see the driver? I did 6 laps, none of them showd it :(

I discovered the pit lane is pretty bumpy... it's true...

I discovered that they actually take charge of you :nervous:

I'm not sure if they did this in GT5P since I never time trialed and pitted haha.

I'm not sure if this should go here, but I noticed that at low speed or being still really in the car, from lock to opposite lock is like .5 seconds. Incredibly fast. And I think that's why the slides and weight shifting is easier controlled at very high speeds, even though steering is limited at those speeds

According to my friend Mad94d, painted cement actually has less grip than the bitumen, something GT has never simulated before.:) (I haven't got it myself yet, another hour apparently).
It's good isn't it? NFS Shift had it as well, I remember.
I hit the grass on my last lap while hard under brakes, I just about lost it coming into the corner. If you're not on solid bitumen you don't know what the car's gunna do :P

I found out that there's auto-pilot through the pit lane at 81km/h, just like other GT games.

I discovered that you can push the braking point boxes through the wall and they dissapear.

Yes indeed! I've tried pushing those braking point boxes towards the wall and they simply disappeared or got stuck into the barriers.

I know but when you race, does it feel like TCS is on, you should still be able to spin your wheels like it's off, and get no red throttle limiter.

Pad users get the red throttle limiter just like when you have TCS in prologue, and they can't even spin the wheels a bit. The throttle gets cut off.
Yes they do. It just comes in very quickly. Very, VERY annoying as well.

I think you've shown us it doesn't take a wheel to get top times. I discovered that you can push the braking point boxes through the wall and they dissapear.

Oh and they also make good objects to do donuts around. I'm gonna try to set up a slalom with them.

That's a good idea. When you get stressed of time-trialing, bump the boxes and have same fun slaloming around them. Good anti-stress tip 👍

better control over brakes than in GT5P. Car feels like it's riding on tyres and not on non-flexible pucks of rubber. weight shifting is modeled more accurately. trail braking and controlling the car with brakes is easier and more realistic. losing control is pretty well nailed too. I love it..

Trail braking isn't easier, it actually worked in Prologue.:P Could just be the car's standard setup though. TheTuned 370Z has an awful gearbox setup, 2nd is WAY too short.

well it has been one of the most obvious discoveries but still.. the tires skidsound is updated and does actually sound real for a change, love it! still missing the skidmarks tho...

Can you make it look like GT5:P? Not that I want to (I'm loving this new map). I have it on fixed, yet it moves...weird.

you can have it on fixed track where the track image stays still or a fixed car type view where the car points north and the track moves.

Or you can have the full track onscreen or shut it off completely.

I used to have it on fixed with the Japanese version of the demo and it stayed fixed, so I don't know whats wrong with yours. :indiff:

I didn't notice the option to turn it off until I downloaded the PAL version.

Hmm I'll just play around with the settings once I have the US version then.

In the replay, if you drive close enough to the camera and zoom in you can see through it and see the gearbox... It doesn't look like they've modelled the engine for the cars, unfortunately.

EDIT: Also noticed an awesome thing. There's flags! I tried reversing into the pit and a yellow flag came untill I turned around and a green flag came up. :D

The speedometer on the in car view is all messed up. It seems to max out at about 190km/hr, which is just ludicrous. Even the stock car is very capable of 245km/hr on the main straight. And this pic of the real speedo shows that it goes all the way to 280km/hr.

It was mentioned somewhere else, but the Japanese version of the 370 Z (as well as all Japanese cars, by law) is limited to 180 km/hr, hence the speedo in the game must be based on the Japanese model.

If you go full pelt at them braking boxes you can go a few meters in the air and hit the boxes over the wall into turn 3.

If your failing this is what to spend your time doing, it may take a few tries to get it right though.

Oh maybe. I guess having the speedo reach to 190km/hr when the car is limited to 180 makes sense. Thank god it wasn't just some massive blunder.
Still...if the limiter has been removed, which it obviously has, tell me you wouldn't replace the speedo as well?

I noticed that it tells you what control people use in the rankings or was this in gt5 prologue? I think this is a good thing so you know what the best people use, most of them at the top have been using 900 degree wheel with sequential shift on.

That isn't the stock speedo, you can see it says nismo on it. It's probably from the nismo 370z, which is tuned for performance and has a different speedo.
