Can you? I was under the impression that it stopped letting you use it flat out after a few months. As for when this demo expires, nobody knows.

I believe I saw it on the PS Store the other week when I was looking for something else, so I would presume it still works if it's still available for download.

I haven't tried for pretty obvious reasons.

I just vaguely remember at the time people were asking if it still worked and people reported that you couldn't use it anymore, you just got a "thanks for playing" pop up and then it didn't work, or something along those lines.

Hmm.. well you could certainly be right. Frankly I'm not inclined to sit here for an hour or two not being able to use my PS3 while I re-download the file just to test the theory but it would certainly be odd for them to keep the 'product' on the store if it is no longer functional.

12' Doesn't show up on the US Playstation Store, that I can see, remember the Indy Road Course demo expiring a few months after play.

I don't think it's been clarified exactly what we're getting. If GT Academy entirely is the demo or if there are two sections to it. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I'm not sure it would be labelled a demo if it was solely for GT Academy.

I have a feeling it might just be that though.

Perhaps I'm imagining things, but I'm darn sure I remember someone from Sony/PD commenting on this matter.
I definitely remember a photo of a menu though where it had "Time attack" as one menu and "GT Academy" as another which seemed to be the demo build.

I'm trying to find where I saw either of these two things but I'm most certainly not imagining the image.

"The GT6 demo will be hosting the 2013 GT Academy" or something to that effect is the quote I'm remembering - I couldn't tell you whom it was that said this however.

I'm racking my brain over this but I haven't slept properly in days, so my memory just isn't working as it should.

Well, since this news article says "Gran Turismo 6 demo coming July 2 with GT Academy," it says to me "This product comes with this product." I'm guessing GTA will be it's own separate section in the demo but we'll know in 2 days.

Considering the Nissan Leaf event was by far the most exploited of last year's GTA, I see no problem with seeing what's what with slow cars.

You may be right. I think I remember hearing it would still work after the Academy was done. I don't think any of the other Academy only downloads stayed working.

I don't remember where, but I saw an image like this one

But the whole screen was taken, and it included in the far right a GT Academy section

I'm pretty sure it will be only the GT Academy with Nissans..
Anyway I can't wait for it to try the "new physics engine".. but at the same time I'm afraid that it will be a dissapointment... as this whole supposedly "new" physics engine still will be just some kind of modified GT4 engine, with crappy low speed phycics, pathetic tyre and suspension behavior and no torque steer :/

I have a feeling it might just be that though.

The GT5 demo was solely for GTA. Remember, 370Z at Indie Road. They called it a demo but it was just 1 track and 2 cars and there was nothing but the GTA qualifier.

So I expect nothing more than the GTA qualifier in this demo. But they've already stated it will be in stages like it was last year.

Kazunori Yamauchi, creator of the Gran Turismo series, has set an interesting challenge for Gran Turismo entrants featuring stunningly re-created Nissan cars including the Leaf, 370Z and GT-R. The GT6 demo will guide players through beginner rounds of a GT Academy-themed race camp before unlocking the final qualifying event featuring the Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, making GT Academy equally accessible to Gran Turismo novices and experts alike. Anyone who registers and submits a qualifying time will receive free bonus content.

It's not clear if the qualifier stages will be released over time or all at once. It's also not clear that all stages will be at Silverstone. Judging by what is said and unsaid, the preliminary stages may be at other tracks.

Perhaps they changed this, but wasn't the european PSN store supposed to be updated wednesdays? I know that the US store had its updates tuesdays, but the european store did always need a little longer.

The E3 demo's main menu looked exactly the same (Edit - except for a Gallery icon). Going into the Arcade Time Trials would show various tracks and cars, but when you clicked the Beginner Events, it was only Autumn Ring and maybe Silverstone, I think. I'm not sure about what cars were available if they weren't all Nissan's like with the GTA Special Events.

Edit -

More comprehensive look into how it works.

Choose either the Leaf or 370z to use in the Beginner Events.

Different video from the same people showing the Arcade Mode section.

Sorry if you've seen them already and can remember it well enough. Not a bad thing to recap...

The slow cars could very well be the most telling in terms of physics. If GT6 gets them right, they shouldn't all be automatically boring.
