Same here the track is starting to grow on me. Here's what I got with the Shelby vs. David:

WP_20150328_001.jpg

Don't know if that is good or bad. First time driving the car on unfamiliar track.

For the beginner event I'm thinking fastest AI time wins with no set car this time.

EDIT. 4 seconds closer to David.

What about taking RUF CTR2 to Like the Wind Race 3 and finish while using N20 in the following order:

Boost at the downhill slope
Use your Nitrous on the first part of the backstretch
Use it again in the back straight tunnel and
Use it for the last time before you finish

Hullo, Hullo, RZQSPEED. North Bekasi? Welcome to the discussion.
Event creation is awarded to the winners of the particular events. Unfortunately you missed the last round - but we have a new one about to be set up - they usually run for about a week and a half, though some of the special events can run for longer - up to a whole month.
Once you win an event you are awarded the tiltle as well as the bonus of creating a new event.
Because there is no way to enforce rules of honor (for instance in your challenge we cannot regulate the exact use of the Nitrous) we tend to go with the hard-and-fast rules by the book - use it or lose it - and play the game as it was designed.
There are, however, many events taking place elsewhere, in which specific and agreed upon player-made rules are in place and as a point of honour everyone follows suit - it is a given that they do. Your challenge might work in one of those threads.
Try the Expert Challenge offered up for now - take the Shelby in question to the Red Bull Ring, and see how close you can get to A. David. (You have to forgive me - we drop names a lot in here - we're Rabbit Hunters. :D )
If you can get close enough to sting him, bring in a screenshot of the final standings - and if yours is the narrowest margin, (whether victorious or not) you will get the chance of bringing that challenge back in here - and we can tweak it a bit to fit. ;)

Expert,, gave it a few goes, was surprised when David really slowed down last lap(low on fuel?) 1:29.8 David 1:24.2 for me . His BL 1:26.3. Will check other lineups with him, see if he does better BL's He did a 7:17 previous race I had a 7:25, same line up. 2015-03-29 20.49.12.jpg That's a finger ! Not "the" finger though :D

Also, @@nowayback, @aphotonrider apologies for the mix-up in laying out the Awards - consider me duly chastised (*horrible images.) Didn't know there was a mix up...but apology accepted
2015-03-29 20.31.34.jpg 1st run same line up

Can't quite catch David yet. Major improvement anyway.

WP_20150330_001.jpg

@photonrider For the beginner event here is my opening result. Looking for to beat the fastest AI time. No set car.

WP_20150330_002.jpg

EDIT. @nowayback , what kind of lap times can you pull off with the Shelby? I've managed 1:26 consistently, 1:25 when I don't make stupid errors and a couple of times 1:24.5

I can't get this side of 1:28 in the Cobra, my best was a 25 second gap. Extremely difficult challenge, but the Shelby grows on one, and I will go back to it again.
Thanks for giving us the new Beginner Challenge, MTM79 - also something fun to work on - and we should find out whether there is a faster rabbit we can tease out of this field.
@nowayback - the mix-up was me hanging the wrong award in MTM79's name and he returned it saying it was yours - so you pick up another trophy.
Vic and MTM lead the Trophy Count at the moment.
OP was updated (partially) successfully this time around - 3 New events to work on - and 3 more arriving in the following days.
I'm awaiting Vic's Intermediate Challenge - guess he's still playing bandit up and down the mountain with a case of Coors in his trunk. :)

Ah, another challenge for me in the mountains. :P

Well seeing as we already did American muscle, how about a European super saloon?

A Mercedes E55 AMG '02 perhaps @photonrider ?

Not much in terms of spare PP to use so it'll be a test of fine tuning in handling that'll prevail here. ;)

As usual, Fastest time wins. 👍

Merc E55 AMG '02? Sounds good - a hefty challenge. Actually some pretty good challenges this time around, a lot of fun to be had.
If you can drum up a Timesheet and let me have it I'll throw it up or if one of the others comes in with something I'll put it up as the starting time to beat. Obviously a lot of 'secret' tuning will be taking place I suppose.
So we have all Whoosier-ruled Level Challenges arranged then and left open till the seasonals are over. We also have the challenge in which we destroy David. Slow him down, beat him up, and take off.
Two more challenges will come - 2nd Round of the B-Spec GT3 Championships, and a special event for the Bobs - Hotchkiss, 'Junya' Duncan, and Mr B-Spec Mantere will battle in Lambos. That timesheet is ready and I will put that up some time tonight in the OP.
Wonder what that B-Spec Mantere guys first name is. :D
Hotchkiss is mad at him. Hotchkiss also avoids any discussion I try to have with him about beating Junya.

Wonder what that B-Spec Mantere guys first name is. :D

Haven't named him yet. Guess I figured it was just me myself driving in my sleep. Sometimes I actually do fall asleep when he is behind the wheel, since I do all my driving past midnight..

@MTM79 1:24's ....even 1st lap. Will try again end of week, still haven't got my braking points.

Damn, No matter what I do and where I do it you seem to be one second a lap faster. Always good to have room for improvement though..

That is different, wouldn't have thought of driving this Merc at Eiger. Should be interesting.. Nice challenge! 👍

Edit. David destroyer.. So frustrating. Slightest error and he rockets by with super speed.

Got an opening result for the Merc.

A few entries as MTM and me try to get things moving here.

Don't think I have ever done Eiger backwards . Anyway there is a lot of time in it, tuning etc. My gold medal run, hadn't done this seasonal yet.
2015-04-02 00.41.16.jpg Like all tracks, but really like Eiger the other way round ! Waitng for @ Vic Reign93 to put his mountain jersey on .

Good call on the jersey as this time was quite a hot one. :sly::lol:

Was a fun choice for a spur of the moment decision on the car. :P

AFAIK - he's the fastest AI driver? It's fun to challenge him one-on-one. An absolute speed zombie. Haven't had much time with the game this week - but the weekend is finally here - and I will get back to the game. You guys are blazing! 👍
BBL.

BBL.

David is by far the fastest one.. If we don't count the Red Bull standard races in.

Funny thing, the ludicrous speed increase the AI gets in this expert A-spec seasonal when you bump them from behind.. I dare you to try it on David. No way I could catch him during his boost, and I was driving a tuned TS030 myself.

Right you are. 👍
He's the fastest so far in the Seasonal offerings; he does appear in Career Mode driving a Carbon R but he is not as fast - obviously because of the car. This makes me wonder a bit about the driver skills versus the car they're driving.

Ludicrous speed . . . 👍
These rabbits will kill us trying to figure them out.
Now - it's well known to us that there is some sort of dynamic game-difficulty balancing being used by PD - but what sort? There were those tests we did where the rabbits would suddenly 'catch-up- with us if we got ahead a certain amount from them - and they would suddenly get this burst of speed and beat us at the finish line.
That was when they were behind us.
Now it seems like if we bump them up they take off; useful to know if we're having a challenge where we are trying to find the fastest rabbit - trying to make them go faster.
Are the rabbits evolving?
Well, obviously, we have to assume that PD is keen on improving the AI, iteration after iteration, and working on improving the AI within the evolution of a particular iteration, so it seems like the AI changes flavour as we go on. Those of us who work closely at monitoring the AI will see these changes.

Thanks for the input. 👍

Nice going MTM - 3 seconds slower than I could hold him back. Back to the drawing board for me. Must be an interesting story . . . also, did you find him get stronger and stronger the more you challenged him?

I have updated the OP with a further B-Spec Challenge to keep our Bobs busy - the One Make Aventador. Good Luck to your drivers - and yourselves as Crew Chief.

Entries for the Online Challenges will close as soon as the Seasonal events close - a few more days to run.
I see the regulars are in here challenging each other - does this mean there is no one else good enough out there to challenge you guys? :D I know I'm not - but I still try - keeps me on my toes, as well as letting me know how I fare up against you monsters.

Hotchkiss is not going to like this. :ouch:
I hope he takes the news well.

Is tuning allowed in all of these challenges?

As MTM said - yes, everything the game allows you to do as per the particular event. Sometimes tuning does help, sometimes it doesn't make a difference; for instance in the Beginners Level Challenge, it doesn't matter what car you can use, or how fast you can make it go, the idea is to make the rabbits go faster.
OTOH, with the featured car - the Merc - that we are using in the Intermediate Challenge, tuning would definitely help. This car is a monster and needs to be thoroughly tuned and modified before it can be hefted up the mountain.
Tuning the Cobra to do its very best also helps in the Expert Level Challenge. You may use aids to suit your needs, whatever accessories compatible, choice of tires as specified, particular driving view you are best at, etc., as allowed by the game. May the best gamer win!

If you have any good tunes for the Merc throw them this way, I'm dying.

I decided to break out the TSO30 for a little bit of saboteur duty against poor old A.David, but I ended up having to hold off 2 more drivers at the same time. ;)

Busier than a one-armed brass band.

My B-Spec protege who was enjoying a holiday in Madrid decided to send me this time.

image.jpg

Needless to say, he just got an extension on his holiday on my tab. :D

Dang it. That Junya leads a charmed life.
I hope you guys had a load of fun this round - the events were all very interesting; I, however had hardly any time at the console and couldn't really get to plunge my teeth deeply into any event. I did gold all three Race Seasonals quick for the gold and money and chips, but that was that. Did have some fun with the Shelby Event - what a car - I managed to flip the car three times.
The Merc was a tough choice, but very addictive, was just getting it.
Time flies by so quick.

I was strangely attracted to playing some TDU2 over the weekend after reading about cruising in one of the threads around here - and boy! what a load of fun. Couldn't stop cruising around Hawaii and Ibiza in all my gorgeous cars, and hanging out in between admiring my homes. Took two of my three motorbikes for long rides, too, and wanting to get back to it.
Online is hopping! Thought TDU2 had gone offline.

I'm, going to keep the Lambob dancer Challenge open for awhile - see if we can beat Junya - and also bring in the 2nd race of the GT3 Championships soon. All Online Challenges will be closed, both whoosier-ruled as well as the open David Destroyer Challenge. Trophy count is going to look interesting. For awhile there I thought I might be able to hold on to the D. Destroyer title but my dreams were shattered overnight.

Thanks all for participating in this round - some interesting times shown, and some more interesting observations on the AI come to the surface.

H.

EDIT: Events were closed in the OP, except for the Lambob Challenge which is 'in-house' so we can afford to extend it.
Winners to be picked soon, and some new challenges to be designed. Didn't have much time to attack the last round very well as I was extremely busy, but this round of races also has great opportunity for some new wrinkles to our game.
Will be back soon to tie up this round and think about how we can kick these races up a notch with something to challenge our driving and battling skills.

Looking forward to it.

Some serious racing going on at the expert Mid-field. No matter what I throw at them, they make up a decent race. Finally an excuse to tune all my 20 million cars.

Time to jumpstart this thread. ;)

I'm going to need a little help when the next batch of race challenges drop so @nowayback @MTM79 @hall90 we need to come up with some fun for all challenges.

I propose that we do it like this, I'll pick the intermediate challenge, MTM can set up the beginners challenge, nowayback has the expert role and Hall can create the bonus challenge. :)

Of course that's what I propose, let me know what you guys think on this.

Sure, I'm in. 👍

So the new events have gone live and I've got the Go Kart battle. :D

The only stipulation to my challenge which'll be called the Ayrton Hamilton Trophy is Fastest time wins. ;)
