Gee, that's crazy high for such a small engine. I do like how high it is, but I understand what you mean. Someone may use it for seasonal events and online.

Guess it is best to fix it then. Awww. :(
nononono, we shouldn't have it fixed yet. I always wanted to try a small car with 600hp. :D

The HSV 15TH Ann downforce levels are Front: 200-400 (default is 300); Rear: 350-650 (default is 550)

R8 LMS ultra 15th Ann Front: 200-400 (default 350); Rear: 400-900 (default 730)
Is that what you're referring to?
Thanks for the numbers, but if what you're saying is true, the R8 LMS ULTRA has a higher rear downforce total than the HSV and the same amount in the front. Thats not encouraging for having them being realistic in comparison. :(

Wow...what a beauty of a game.

The intro which I refused to watch before...is amazing...you can feel the passion that they put in it and in the game. And the classic music sounding (which I sadly can´t remember the name of that piece) is just beautiful. At 1080p and 60FPS is beautiful...still one of those that you want to see more times.

In resume...menus are incredibly fast compared to GT5, really intuitive and easy to navigate...set up the cars and the wheel, etc...Super easy...a baby can use it.

The graphics looks way better than any video on You Tube for sure...there are some little issues with anti-aliasing but the overall feel and look once you are playing is really good. (also some videos on YT looks quite dark...the game is not dark at all)
Replays if in GT5 were beautiful...now are a masterpiece. Hands down...there is no game that can beat PD in that regard.

The music is quite classy as in every PD game and I personally enjoy it. They always put the right choice for every menu once you are selecting settings or "working on your car".

I had no problem to use my Anniversary Edition cars, you can even use them or test them at any track even without even touch the career mode...once you buy the forced Honda Fit RS you can skip everything...go to the dealership and select one of your cars...and test it at ANY TRACK since the beginning...no track is locked...and no limit in laps. Which to me is amazing.

The Physics are awesome and the only "problem" that I noticed in the FFB is that you can´t feel when the front tyres slide...the loss of the grip is not noticeable even when you block the tyres (the wheel should feel real light and vibrate a little) yet in GT6 the wheel feels a little bit heavier...
But on my G27 with the FFB set to 5, Simulation, and the rest deactivated, you can feel the weight transfer of the car while turning into a corner (yet you will notice that there is no feeling of loosing grip from the front tyres as I said), and you also notice when you are loosing the car from the back.
So in regards to FFB it can be improved...but is not bad at all, is like they can´t put all the details and instead the balance the feeling in giving you the feeling of weight in your hands. Also you can feel the kerbs and bumps and even the elevation changes as well.

The graphics again looks better than in GT5...there are some frame drops (I´m playing at 1080p) in the gallery view but racing alone there is no problems, yet I need to check with more cars since I even didn´t try the licence test of career because I was testing some of my cars on Ascari which to me is one of the bests tracks hands down in this game.
Brands Hatch looks formidable as well.

This game looks really really good so far...I´m impressed even by knowing its flaws...(sound and some graphics details...but hardware is hardware)

I need to actually play this game...but my first impression is like...I want to play this MOAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 👍

Cheers for PD.

Only played two hours so far as as I need a decent bit of sleep, but I agree with everything you say. This game is very good visually and despite what many on here say, the Fit was a good little car to start off with. The new physics/tyre/suspension model is also a very welcome addition from what I've experienced so far.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered so we can use are anniversary cars for the career races after we buy the Fit?

Picked the game up this morning. After bringing it home and installing the 1.01 update, I only had enough time to do the first drive with the Renault Megane and buy my Honda Fit before having to leave for work. As I was walking up to the bus stop, the first car I saw was a Honda Fit and (I work in a department store) so I'm sure I'll see many copies of the games the store throughout the day, not to mention the game being on the front cover of our new catalogue, sitting right in front of me at my desk. Such a tease.

I was going to post this thought in a different thread, but it's been closed.
With the 20,000,000 cr cap still in place, I wonder what happens if you purchase a credit pack which will take you over the maximum limit? In GT5 if you won a race when you had maximum credits, you would lose the prize money, however if this happened with a real microtransaction, I think a lot of people will be majorly ticked off (people with more money than sense granted).

Somehow I don't think they thought of that.

I'm sure someone will test it out by working for 19.7 million credits, then buy the 500k pack.

1 of 4 things will happen-
You lose 200k that you just paid for
It goes to 20.2 million
It doesn't let you buy it
It goes to 20M, and get an additional 200k credit(basically the same as #2)

I never intended to buy credits anyways but I seriously hope no one considers buying credits. That's even worse than the Forza deal if IIRC and that's a horrible deal also. Shame on whoever thought that was a good idea.

No it's not. Forza charged MORE than the game for enough tokens to buy the best cars. This is simply the GTA style of being able to by credits. Which, I don't understand why people are in such a frenzy about this. Just because you have the ability to buy cars and tune them doesn't mean you'll be able to use those cars in anything but online mode and if you buy 7million credits day one, the only people you're going to be racing with online are people who did the same thing, so...

You do know about the cars that come with the pre-order right? I believe there's a thread or two about it hereabouts. Hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of drivers will be starting day 1 with more than enough cars to make for interesting online racing.

Word to the wise: if anyone buys the Focus ST, make sure you buy a close ratio or race transmission. 5th and 6th gear are way to long.

Guys I just found the best combo ever in a Gran turismo game hands down........

KTM XBow R at Nürburgring 6:30AM...The sense of speed and how the car handles is spectacular...I´m in love with the car and with the lighting in this game...Amazing. I just can´t get enough!!!!! (Anniversary Edition proud owner here)

Also now every car you drive feels different and has something special...like the cars are alive...Amazing job PD...amazing.

Despite the obvious flaws of the game (some minor details in the graphics, engine sounds still not as realistic as we want though the tyre squeal noise is one of the most realistic in a racing game in my opinion -go to a race track once and you´ll see why I´m saying this-, and the FFB without giving all the info from the grip of the front tyres...yet it gives you the weight transfer and all the info coming from the ground -the bumps-), I´m loving it way better than GT5.

Career mode is a little bit boring and easy at the beginning but it starts to grow after you complete the first licence and maybe then starts the real challenge...The coffee breaks are great and quite fun with that vibe from GT4, really enjoying them.

Real life tracks are the best looking, the lighting is way better and sometimes it looks almost like real life...PD did a great job with all of them...Willow Springs is way better than pCARS version by a long margin.

Started to play at 3 AM here more or less...7:27 right now...Spain time...Time to sleep...and tomorrow I´ll complete national B which has a lot of events...once you finish them you have to do the tests to get the next licence and so on.

I´m cheating a bit...used the Toyota GT86 after doing the first 3 races of the game with the Honda Fit to complete the first part of the career mode...lol

Unlocked 3 cars, Alfa Romeo Mito, a Kart, and a Renault Clio RS.

Customization...once you get to the wheels your eyes will be like this O_O...

Oh man there is so much stuff to do...and don´t forget the online portion of the game...

Time to sleep...See ya.

Edit: I forgot my very first photo...not so good but my first is my first!

I don't get half of what you wrote and the other half I disagree with. First, let me premise this with I never intended to buy credits and the fact they offer them does not offend me. At this point I'm not to concerned with how their presence affects my progression in the game.

But how does GT not charge more than the price game when it cost £120 to buy enough credits to get a 20 mill credit car? It's insulting to people to charge that much and act like it's a convienence if you want quick credits.

What do you mean by the bolded part? You make it sound like there are restrictions to how you can use the parts and cars purchased with microtransaction credits? I don't see the relevance of how the credits are used. The only problem I see is Sony thought it was okay to charge that much for virtual currency.

FM5's most expensive car via microtransactions: £32.50
GT6's most expensive car via microtransactions: £120

Not that either is good IMO; they're both ridiculous, terrible attempts to pry more money out of consumers. But the numbers speak for themselves; GT charges well over double the cost of the game for a single car.

Depends your sensivity settings.

So you mean sensitivity settings affect steering animation lag? I play with steering wheel and with GT5, lag was never so bad that there was much difference in animation and input.

"Apart from being sucker punched in the jingle bells, I didn't mind meeting your ex-boyfriend". Sometimes the "apart from" is fairly important:lol:

Well that's one way to look at it

I just don't feel that bothered by it as that's the only thing they are making me do with this car. At least I'll be able to sell it right after so if anything, I'm just repeating what people do when they get those awful sweaters for Christmas.
