I tried variable weather for the first time in Arcade Mode Time Trial. It started to rain lightly and drop are building up on the windscreen. The wipers didnt engage until I hit the button. I then turned them off while the rain came down heavier. I didnt know we had full control of the wipers. And still no button to turn headlights on and off.

Temporary Solution: Bad FFB CSW in GT6

Guys, I found the (temp) fix for our GT6 FFB issue.
What you need to do is flash back your CSW to Firmware v32.

Firmwares: http://eu.fanatec.com/RacingWheels/ClubSportWheelBaseEU

The following difference between firmware v32 and v37 are the key to this fix.

Firmware 32: Emulation of Logitech G25 in PS3 Mode (no working rev lights (G25 didn't have any))
Firmware 37: Emulation of Logitech G27 in PS3 Mode (with working rev lights)

So what this means is that basically the G25 works fine and has a working Simulation FFB mode in GT6, while the G27 users have a messed up Simulation FFB mode in GT6.
This means that when you flash back you loose the rev lights, but I shift on hear or the on screen light instead myself. So I rather have a working FFB system instead so I can enjoy the game.

So all you got to do is download the firmware from the Fanatec site, follow the documented instructions included in the ZIP archive.
Make sure that after you rebooted your wheel you...

a) Reset your profile by holding down the tuning menu button while S_1 is displayed
b) Recalibrate the center of the wheel by putting the wheel in the center and hitting both thumb sticks while S_1 is being displayed
c) Recalibrate your H-shifter
d) Please don't forget to enjoy GT6 :)

Personally I initially used Simulation, with Powersteering, Strength 10 in game and on the wheel FOR 100. Which equals to about the same feel I had with the T500, though I feel that the T500 is slightly sharper/spiky'er on the curb rumble in general (so not game related, but device firmware related).

Edit: Decided to go to Simulation, no Powersteering, Strength 8 instead. With powersteering the wheel goes silly light and strength 10 felt like it was clipping from the game. Better to leave some room in the game and adjust on the wheel instead if desired.

Anyways... happy driving guys. :gtpflag:

Posted from the Sim Racing Hardware Forum. Basically there is a noticeable difference in FFB between the G25 and G27 (no rumble strip effect). This consquently effects Fanatec users who have the latest FW which emulates the G27 as oppose to the G25(emulated in older FW).

G25 and G27 can you comment on this?

just got the game, I don't know how is working in other regions but my copy of the game (standard edition) came with the voucher for the 25 cars with the 15th anniversary livery, the special racing suit, the paint chips pack and avatars for the PSN profile, I just got the B license, at the moment I like the game more than GT5 , but that engine sound is awful and framerate is distracting in cockpit view

The best engine sound has to go to the X1, just sounds so much superior in this game than GT5.

It's a blast once you unlock it. I'm on Goodwood 3-2 right now, but had to take a food break and check GTP.

Already got Gold on all Goodwood Festival of Speed events.

As I got impressions from YouTube videos, I love the opening video to Gran Turismo 6! Not just the video itself, but the music to go with it. It makes me forget all about My Chemical Romance and the GT5 opening. Of course, the GT5 opening would have a newer version with "5oul on Display" (or however it's styled) by Daiki Kasho. I still say "Moon Over the Castle" should always be the opening song. Don't just offer some other song just so a certain region can relate or just to please certain people. Moon Over the Castle has been the Gran Turismo theme since its inception. I do love the classical piece and the rockin' piece in the Gran Turismo 6 intro. I never thought there would be a cooler rock song than "Looking For You" to play until hearing GT6's song.

Six Gran Turismo titles, and all six have never fail to get you excited with their intros. That's just another get-you-going intro that rocks.

You don't have to leave GT Auto to switch cars to just pick the car the car list in the start menu. 👍

This actually prove that PD can actually make good sounds. Just watching that gives me hope that PD will nail it with the sounds one day.

Just not any time in the foreseeable future is all. Also it's obvious that most people think they can make good sounds, if they didn't they wouldn't be complaining to PD about how awful they are. People who actually give up hope on something stop complaining and move on. Thus many obviously still believe in PD.

You never know.

You got a point, though when we saw the X2011 last week running around everyone had the same reaction as you, they did a wonderful job on all the X cars noises. Hopefully the junior car will sounds like a GP2
PD also did a great job on the HSV10, LFA. I know they have the potential, but its like they are too lazy to put in a decent effort.

It's really hard to update sounds on 1207 900 cars. But if they could do a little at a time, it's progress.
Exactly. I'm if they could find the base audio files of the cars, and remaster them, it might save some time. I could be completely wrong though.

If not, I would be fine if they could update 50-100 cars at a time.

A lot of people disagree with the LFA one, there is more they could have done. And the HSV10 has been pushed on the community as a pinnacle of great sounds since GT5, I'd hope they could do well on GT500 cars.

Yoire right about the soind. I revved it before the start and I got a bit nervous :nervous:

Did exactly the same thing before I started too. Hadn't seen any gameplay videos from people who got the game early before I received my copy and boy, was I surprised by the different sound of the X1.

So I just found out stats doesn't track time or miles from online. That's disappointing.
