As I got impressions from YouTube videos, I love the opening video to Gran Turismo 6! Not just the video itself, but the music to go with it. It makes me forget all about My Chemical Romance and the GT5 opening. Of course, the GT5 opening would have a newer version with "5oul on Display" (or however it's styled) by Daiki Kasho. I still say "Moon Over the Castle" should always be the opening song. Don't just offer some other song just so a certain region can relate or just to please certain people. Moon Over the Castle has been the Gran Turismo theme since its inception. I do love the classical piece and the rockin' piece in the Gran Turismo 6 intro. I never thought there would be a cooler rock song than "Looking For You" to play until hearing GT6's song.

Six Gran Turismo titles, and all six have never fail to get you excited with their intros. That's just another get-you-going intro that rocks.

I think the intro to GT6 is the best I've seen apart from the intro to GT2. That song, I will never forget. Nevertheless, I love the intro piano piece before descending into the mighty chorus and seeing the GT6 logo flashing by. I love it, wonderful stuff and on that regard GT really is in a league of it's own.

I thought GT6 would contain the course maker and then add the GPS tool with a patch, but I can not find the course maker. Do I have to unlock the course maker, or will it come together with the GPS tool?

Any idea what new "ingame" patch did? I said there was update (after 1.01) and installed it in the menu screen and not the usual way before starting the game.
Raised prices for some cars.

There is a bug that prevents headlights from illuminating the road on Willow Springs. Thanks to that I overshot the last corner, lauched over a hill and somersaulted onto the pitbuilding :) On other tracks the lights work as intended (only for my cat that is).

One thing I noticed is that the lights of the Mercedes Vision GT appear to be mainly cosmetical... At least in one of the night races on Le Mans, it remained dark in front of the car. During the replay you see a very faint illumination of the surroundings, but that's it.

Also something with the lights is that only your car's lights seem to illuminate the track. The lights of the other cars don't sem to have any effect...

In the beginning career races, ive noticed the cars ahead and behind me had headlight beams. I believe it was Apricot Hill. I also tried a time change at Bathurst and the cars ahead and behind projected beams of light. There were 3 cars ahead and one behind at the time.

It struck me yesterday when viewing the replay of theNight Masters race at the Nurburgring. The beams of my car were illuminating the surroundings of the track, while the headlights from the AI were only projecting two small bright spots on the road in front of the car. Normally I would expect them all to illuminate the trees around the track...

Hardware limitations I would assume. Im not personally bothered by that if it is in fact the case.

I've not done that much night racing yet, could it be that they had their beams dipped, and you didn't?

This game looks great I can't wait to get my hands on the game with the anniversary edition for Christmas driving the AE GT500 around mount panorama :). Reading posts on GTP wants me to get it now. Except the game is lacking endurance races which is kind of annoying hopefully in a later update they will add the long endurance races instead of these tiny 24min races.

GT6 intro is kinda like a legendary anime intro (which is a good thing in this case). It's the second best in my list

I must say that I am more then pleased with this edition of Gran Turismo.

The user interface is simple and got a good overview, really enjoy browsing through categories.
The physics feel much better. There are 1 or 2 minor flaws but for an 8 year old 256mb ram console, its just stunning.
The improved cockpit view makes racing in "norrow" or some cars even the "norrowest" view just a joy.
The shadows in in-game and replay looks much better and smoother.

Overall, this GT6 reminds of the good old fun GT3 and GT4 days.
I remember GT5 being a bit of a hassle and stress and the UI colors and loading times were just a bit annoying it times.

Overall I am very very happy with this game and cannot wait to join online "rocket car" lobbyes and more.

PD has definitely listened to the GT community and improved all the major flaws from GT5 !

KY and PD have, in my book, definitely succeded with GT6

The ability to customize your dials (speedo & rpm gauge) makes the entire sim just feel more personal and having the mileage meter (odometer) on your speed dial gives that personal attachment a bit more

Course maker may come in a patch. It may be with the GPS tool, or it may be separate.

Just rebooted the console there and fired Gt6 up again - it pulled down another small update. No idea what it was / what it's done though...

Wasn't there this morning when I was playing. Seems to be a new one?

Same here, went into the game and no mention of the update. I wish PD/Sony would not do this crap with completely mysterious updates it's so amateurish:rolleyes:. Put a friggin' note in the game, there's already a place for it and give us a couple of lines telling us what you're doing.:mad:

It's more than a bit frustrating - even a small change log under game updates or some such. Small thing, but kinda annoying.

It seems those small "updates" just change some of the game's values, in the most-likely case, the prices of cars...

The Chaparral 2J just went from 2M to 4.5M...

That's fine, but the point is, all 2 million of us (or whatever the number is) shouldn't have to go hunting to find out what was changed, it should be in the game.
