Yep, it certainly can. And if anything moderately approaching realistic damage were in the game I'd be right with you on this.

Instead we get this warping system that appears to be linked to mileage rather than damage. Does any car warp just from driving it? Not really. You can wear out things like bushings but that takes tens of thousands of miles at least. Any sort of bending requires some pretty rough roads or actual contact with something else.

(Note: I'm sure somewhere there's cars built so shoddily that they bend when someone sits in them, but talking about normal cars, no.)

Not any car. High horsepower with excessive grip will warp the chassis quite easily though.

Certainly. You're talking about highly, highly modified cars here though. And even then, is it twisting the chassis frame out of true or is it only rocking around on the suspension?

Regardless, I maintain that no normal car gets a bent chassis in any reasonable length of time. And I include in that purpose built race cars driven as intended.

I'll admit that there are circumstances where you *could* warp a chassis, but that they're very extreme and that there would be a lot more damage to other parts of the car before you'd get anywhere near warping the chassis.

It was last night, well then if that is the case, I guess I might have go back and whittle some more time down.

Funny, I am in the 15th Anniversary Seasonal right now and SRF is forced on for that.

Edit: Addition
-----------------------

...so I just went back to my garage, got the Vision Mercedes and loaded the seasonal, SRF is still forced on, anyone with game up now I am sure can verify that.

Now I see the source of your confusion...:sly:

The BMW Seasonal where the car is provided does have SRF unlocked...
...the other 3 Seasonals (including the Mercedes Vision) all have SRF locked to on.
Oh yeah I was talking about the BMW seasonal..

you're not drafting well enough more than likely. In GT5 that stuff was critical in every way, even taping a wall could screw you hard.
Completed. Daytona and Indy are the worst.

On the plus side discovered that you just need to obtain a license to. Complete a tier. Got the final careerist trophy without even finishing the last kart series. I am now 82% done.

No, they're not. Unless there's major damage or something wrong with it, they try and stick with a single monocoque. They're bloody expensive. You'll notice that Vettel names his.

That's not true. Drivers change chassis after a number of races even if there has been no major incidents, because after several races an old chassis simply flexes noticeably more than a new one. Apparently in the 1990s teams were building 8-9 chassis per season; it's probably less now because testing is all but banned, but it's definitely not one chassis per driver. Indeed the only exception has been the 2009 championship-winning Brawn GP team (now Mercedes AMG). The team was so cash-starved they could only afford to build three chassis; Jenson Button used one, Rubens Barrichello used two after a crash during qualifying at the Singapore GP necessitated a change in chassis. Because of the frequency of chassis changes a driver usually goes through each season, that made Button's chassis the most successful chassis in Formula One history.

Even Indy Car teams, operating at a fraction of the budget of the lowest-funded F1 teams, typically go through three chassis per driver a year.

Sebastian Vettel gives names to each car model, not chassis. This year's RB9, for example, was given the name "Hungry Heidi".

Yes, building carbon fibre monocoques are expensive. Formula One isn't the most expensive motor sport in the world for nothing...

Annnd the beautiful flashbacks to NASCAR Thunder 2003 begin.

I'm curious about the GT Arena course, are there more track variations to unlock in arcade mode? I checked the GT Arena track and it says "layout A" within parenthesis.

Has anyone had the same bug I've been having? In the A License SP100 Kart championship I cannot access the last race at GT Arena. The game just glitches after the Daiki Kasho song begins to play. It's happened repeatedly.

Nope.

I have not but I've also turned off the in game music therefore it's Kasho's fault...

I have the same problem except my game freezes on the 2nd race of the event.

Check your disc for any dirt or smudges, wipe it and see if it works.

I had that problem with the Kart race series in National B, and again in the National A, but in a different way; instead of freezing, it would state, "The race cannot be started. The race information is invalid."

For both problems, (a) quit and restart GT6 (no choice with the freezing problem ), (b) start a race in another series (ex. MR, Classic Car, European Tour, etc.), and (c) exit when finished with one race. Then, (d) return to the inoperable race, it is magically free of bugs.

I've had this happen about 6 or 7 times so far and this was the only way I've found to proceed forward. 👎 I also tried a free run session from the garage, running 5 laps around the Brands Hatch GP, but that didn't fix the problem at all; only trying another Career Mode event has worked so far.

The DeltaWing that will be competing in the IMSA-TUDOR will be a Coupe. It's just simply last years ALMS car.
Except, not quite. The chrome one has a different team, sponsor, engine and pretty much. Eveything else. Besides, that, one usually has to check with the race organizers, teams and car makers to use modern race cars. PD has partnerships with SuperGT and NASCAR to use their cars. Besides Porchse, PD has partnerships with all the manfactuers, and they had a good relationship with LeMans and ALMS. And even showed some partnership with Grand-Am with the Camaro TC which was based off the Sunco GD entry. Given their Postive history with the IMSA, a partnership for the coming TUDOR series isn't out of the realm of possibility. And really, we're just missing some LMPs, DPs, and a couple GT cars (Corvette C7.R, Viper GTS-R, and Viper GT3-R come to mind.)

I have noticed that "The race cannot be started. The race information is invalid." issue, and freezing are more common when I go back to the game if a demo has been playing for a few minutes.
Indeed. My game goes potato after a demo plays once or twice.

I must be lucky... I've only had the game crash once since I got it (30+ hours playing) and it was because I tried to "Enter Course" while the room host was changing settings.
Needless to say, I haven't even touched Online since I found out races pay about 1/10 of what they did on GT5.

I had recently some huge frame rate drops in the Apricot Hill 20 minute race in my Mclaren F1 GTR. I don't know if it was just the disc, the system, or that event; because it only occurred in that event and the other races I've been in so far have ran smoothly.

PLEASE, Kaz, add the 850CSi and the M1 at some point. And the Ferrari F355/Challenge when you can get around to it.

YESS to the 355! but only do it if you can get the sound right for it.
part of what makes a 355 to me is the amazing tune that it sings out
