wait what were those videos?

One video was about the GPS/course maker/app thing, and the other one was Kazunori Yamauchi talking about VGT, the only thing I recalll being interesting was the guy talking about the GPS stuff, he said something like "adding trees around your layout" or something similar

ok. I have heard that stuff before. I thought it was something I might have missed.

Hooray! I'll take this with a pinch of salt of course (since the video is gone), but possible news about maybe adding trees to your course is good enough for me, now I'm just waiting for tunnels.
Interview before GT6 released:

It's already been said by Taku.

Tunnels? I want jumps! (mainly for rally tracks)

Although the videos that went down were new, probably from the Taipei Game Show, I would think.

That's not how youtube works these days.
I guess. Just realized that person stole some videos, thats why that dude is terminated... and the video I posted was garbage it was from the LA show last year!

Edit: I got the videos that were removed

Does any one feel this "one modeler - one car" philosophy will bite Polyphony in the bum when it comes time for Gran Turismo 7? We have seen the backlash Turn 10 has received from its lower car count (and pricier DLC due to the increase in detail even if the cars are somewhat inaccurate)

Does PD have a plan to remedy this? I still think they should grab some of the car models (not the physics models) from #DriveClub for their own sake.

Actually, I do have a slight feeling that PD might regret sticking with this idea sooner or later. I feel that it would be find if PD would just hire more people for modeling the cars in order to increase the number of virtual cars they can make at a time.

Also, I guess this factor about PD is one of the only things that annoys me about that company. They're not willing to outsource for help. I know why they don't do it, but I feel they would be better off giving it a try at least.

No, it takes the same amount of time as 2 modelers - 2 cars, 3 modelers - 3 cars, etc

I would rather see any extra resources go towards modelling tracks

In the video about GPS on 3:14 and 4:12 minutes, there's a Mercedes Vision GT with the big wing on the screen of the TV on the left.

EDIT:
You can see it in the second video right from the start.

@unit-one It was also showcased in the MB Vision GT's trailer.

Showing up at multiple points. Maybe it's able to be put on in the game? I wouldn't know, never really bothered with the car. Not anything new though to my knowledge.

Might be too early, but I'd take the risk :D

Is the tire wear bug for the timed races still happening? I'm wondering if its wise for me to attempt Nurburgring 24min.

Yes, it's online and offline - it's not such a big deal offline because you will still win if you use the correct car. 3 laps round the ring is not a huge amount, you might need only pit once. The other issue is the other timed races glitch where the first person to cross the finish line after time runs out will win. It was fixed then broken again.

And servers down here as well, but continue to get excited it's only scheduled maintenance.

Did I miss something here? Lots are repeating this, but my take on that comment was in context to the engineers designing the VGT cars, not PD's internal car modeling staff. Where did it say that this is how PD makes cars for the game in general?

And LOL at the three monitor demo on the news page using monitors with the widest black borders I have seen on a flat screen in a long time!

Don't know... My friends and myself got some very weird conection errors. The game crashes and the servers are still offline...

Could be... it?

I'll expect maintenance only.

But who knows?

(If my name was Kazunori, I would put the 27km track right now on everyone's GT6 and enjoy some smiles. LOL, surprise mofos) Okay, now I'll stop dreaming.

LOL Im like a 6 year old child waiting for santa... but he didnt bring me what i asked all times... but some times...YEAHHHH
