GT6 Prologue

I would think they dont want to call it #4 the same reason Hollywood doesn't call the 4th movie of most big franchises #4, it sounds cheap and overwhelming.

Playstation 4 doesnt sound as good as Playstation 2 or 3.

I dont know his financial status. I also dont want to play down the fact that many people in his region are unemployed or live at the edge and dont have the money for a console. But he owns a PS3 and games, so apparently someone in his position must have enough money to spend on gaming beside the cost of living. But my saying that he must have the money was certainly not appropriate. Sorry for that.

My criticism is more headed at the people who cry that they cant afford an iphone 5, while they still pay off their iphone 4s and also having their macbook pro infront of them. Technology moves on, with or without you. Nobody needs to buy things at release and can save a ton of money while waiting. Same with consoles.

Dude i had the money 3 years ago and i have 3 games, 2 of them were offered (GT5 and NFS Shift), 3 were downloaded for free because of Welcome Back as you may remember.
You are german so taxes aren't that high i pay those 350-450€ plus 23% of that value in taxes. Thus you don't imagine the amount of money i save each day.
Never bought anything at is launch, never will and i'm always seeking for a slight price change but as you say it is closer than we think and darker days are coming...

I hope they don't make a prologue to milk money out of fans and then make them wait another two years for a full game! = bad move! Yeah for the fans it's something to play in the meantime,but in my opinion it's just a scam to get money and buy time. What happened to free demos?

Omni is probably not the official name for the new console. Like any other developer they use codenames. Microsoft uses "Durango" for its next console for example. Anything else than Playstation 4 would be an odd decision. We see the problem with the Wii U at the moment. Many customers are confused about the name and are not sure if its a new console or just an addition to the Wii.

Even if that is true it's talking about a delay to the original plan for hardware production. If GT6 for PS4 was/is already in development they can't just switch back to PS3 development because the console is delayed, it just means they'll have to wait.

Well yes, that is what i'm saying. If PD have already started on a PS4 game it's going to be a PS4 game, they aren't going to go back and do a PS3 one instead because the hardware is delayed.

In short even if that rumour is true it doesn't affect the console GT6 is being developed for.

I'll agree on that one for sure.
 
The expectation for the next GT can be more fun than actaullt having the game. Almost like going out and chasing women, when you finally get one its not fun going out any more.
PS4 is right now the most wanted club and GT6 the most wanted woman there and we all want to take her home but cant because the clubowner says the club opens later. Stay in line and wait for whenever we open up. So we wait and happily talk about how beautiful this woman must be that we all want her....I hope GT6 will be the game i want to have for a long time and not have to cheat around with others ;)
 
I'm not so sure on what to make of these rumors, I'm kinda expecting a GT6 on the PS3 with improved content and all the richness of experience that GT5 unfortunately lacked, but to be honest, a GT6 Prologue would be an excellent excuse to buy the new console.

I've bought the PS3 for MGS4 and GT5P, I'm sure there are loads of people who did the same and Sony will be there to cash upon the opportunity. So, yes I believe in a Prologue version on the Playstation uuh..4,Orbis,Omni,13.... next Playstation...
 
I'm expecting GT6 to launch on both PS3 and Vita for Christmas 2013 as a swan song title for PS3. In my opinion after that it's full attention PlayStation Orbis.
 
Assuming that GT6 is in development for the PS4 and that both PD studios are working flat-out on it, do you anticipate them releasing a Prologue or will they push to make GT6 a PS4 launch title?

A Prologue release alongside the PS4 launch would obviously take some of the pressure off the team whilst also bringing some much welcomed revenue through the door but it may not sit particularly well with those fans left feeling slighlty soured by GT5 and wondering what PD have been upto for the last 3 years ...
 
They should make one. So we can give them constructive critisism so they can see where there flaws may be fixed.
 
Nah, They won't make a prologue as far as I know.

The GT5 prologue was release because the full version of GT5 was delayed for such a long time.

If you look at the quote I have given he said that he will no longer say when it will be released. So if GT6 release is late they won't have to release a prologue because they did not say when it will be released :)
 
Prologue is a huge moneymaker...very little content...lots of $$$ coming in...it's a no brainer that there will be a GT6 Prologue...đź’ˇ
 
I really hope not but given the history...GT1, 2 and 3 all had 2 years in between games. There was a 4 year gap from GT3 to GT4 and then 5 years between GT4 and GT5. GT5 came out in 2010 so at this rate it may be 2015 until we see GT6. Hopefully that is not the case though. I don't know that I can wait that long. I wholeheartedly think that Gran Turismo is a much better game than the Forza series but it is also irritating that Turn 10 Studios was able to bring out 4 iterations of their game in the time it took PD to get from GT4 to GT5. The delays in releasing GT5 were honestly becoming comical.
