Yes, so we can tell them what's working and what isn't.

Wasn't that GT5?

I don't see there being a Prologue. In fact, I don't see the need for another Prologue going forward on any PS systems. In my opinion the only feature that made GT5P a worthwhile purchase was online and PD did it more as a huge beta test for online from what I've read. They don't need to do that going forward. By the time PS4 releases GT6 will have been in development for at least 3 years and again my opinion is that would be a mismanaged 3 years if a Prologue is the result.

My expectation is GT6 will release whenever Europe gets the PS4. There are rumors of Fall '13 for NA/Japan and Q1 '14for Europe so that's when I see it being released.

I don't know. To me it would seem like I'd be getting to play a new GT game a little before the full thing comes out, compared to waiting even longer for the same thing in the end.

The rumored prologue they are working on is for GT7 and the PS4.

GT6 is going to be released on the ps3 in November.

That is my story and I am sticking to it!

Assuming that GT6 is in development for the PS4 and that both PD studios are working flat-out on it, do you anticipate them releasing a Prologue or will they push to make GT6 a PS4 launch title?

A Prologue release alongside the PS4 launch would obviously take some of the pressure off the team whilst also bringing some much welcomed revenue through the door but it may not sit particularly well with those fans left feeling slighlty soured by GT5 and wondering what PD have been upto for the last 3 years ...

God I hope not a prologue to show us features only I to remove them?

I just want the full game when its released on ps4.

I voted "No" so its

7 = Yes
7 = No

There will be no prologue.

But it would be cool to have the GT6 prologue on PS3 and the full GT6 on PS4

Yes I think there will be a prologue. I think the prologue will be on the PS3 as just a teaser and then they will have GT6 as a launch title for the PS4.

Cos they listened last time...

The owner of gtplanet basically told Kaz straight to his face the fanbase didnt like the overall sound of the cars in the game, and Kaz told him that the sound was too realistic for fans to like.

So yeah, they wont listen.

If PD was a normal studio ===> GT6: Prologue = launch title | GT6 = 2014
But this PD ===> GT6: Prologue = fall 2014 | GT6 = 2016

If PD was a "normal" studio they wouldn't have made Prologues. :lol:

It would be good if they just concentrated on a full game this time around. We know GT5P was supposed to be an incomplete GT5 - a foundation from which they could build GT5 from. However, there are many gameplay differences between the two, besides the car and track count, so I'm thinking the Prologue was a bit of a waste of time.

Yes, we did get to drive endless laps around Suzuka for a few years while waiting :sly: , but we were driving with different physics to the full game in all that time. Some might say the physics were in fact better in 5P. There's other things too, like the fact that PP calculations took tires into account, or the fact that, although 5P didn't have private lobbies, it did have a matchmaking system which is now mysteriously absent.

So it seems to me like a bit of a tease. If this is the way they are going to go about making a hypothetical GT6P and GT6, I don't think I'll bother with the Prologue this time.

I really hope not. After 3 years they should have a lot more content than a Prologue. For a start they already had ~250 Premium cars, they should have another 200 by now at least. Therefore a Prologue with only a handful of cars and tracks would be a slap in the face. People say all the DLC in the other game is a rip off, GT6 Prologue would be worse.

PS, Hi Crunch. :)

Theres always a change of heart, you'll never know. ;) Haha.

Working on GT7 Prologue before GT6 is even announced?:confused: Because that would be an efficient use of time.:dunce:

No, I believe PD has worked strongly with some of Sony's top program engineers to get a really good understanding of the hardware, and along with the fact PD's premium vehicles and tracks are future proofed at native 1080p (vs. the current 1280x1080), the main ingredients are there, it is after all just another racing game...

There's waaay more content ready than there was in 2009's GT5:P release, and if PD have put high focus on building GT6 over the last year or two, there's no reason to be pessimistic about a full game only because of the unfortunate way PD mishandeled the development of GT5.

I obviously hope and truly believe they have learned, without a doubt they will strike with a full fleged racing simulator that can be enjoyed by all, having solved and outdone the wishes of the most notorious complaints of GT5.

GT6:P was released Novemeber 2010. GT6 has to be a release title, or NO more than half a year out, I don't see the point otherwise, Sony needs it. GT6 Spec II will probably be needed to iron out some bugs and gameplay issues and additions, but I can live with that... if you know what I mean.

Firstly, I think the Poll question should be changed to 'Do you want a GT6 Prologue?'

Yes I think there will be a prologue. I think the prologue will be on the PS3 as just a teaser and then they will have GT6 as a launch title for the PS4.

That would be a silly thing to do. We wouldn't want to be playing a teaser for GT6 on the PS3, only to have to game release on PS4, (which is what I've gathered everyone believes due to the amount of specualtion). We would need an accurate representation of what we would be playing in the full game, rather than having totally different physics and game quality.

Yeah I would like there to be a 6P, but only if it was released less than a year before the full game, and that it would be very, very similiar to what GT6 would entail.

I hope not. The idea of a paid-for demo should not be encouraged in this age; I understand the desire to play some form of the new game, I do, but I'd rather play the entire thing, not some piece-meal approach that, due to its existence, delays the very game it's meant to be previewing. Especially, looking at how 5's Prologue compares to the final product, the glorified demo version has features the full one doesn't even have!

Only a year? That seems way too short of time, I mean why buy a demo priced as a full game when the full version comes out in about 10 months?
I would say a prologue released between 18 months and a year of the full release is good.

Because anything more than a year is too long, in my opinion. It would be like GT5P - GT5. We waited for over two years to finally be able to play the full thing, by then, you're absolutely sick to death of having such limited cars and tracks. A year, or less is a sufficient amount of time to allow people to see what it's like and to enjoy it, then be able to purchase the completed game, once it's released.

Understandable but if its released less than a year it will be a literal demo of GT6, which in fact isn't bad, but the fact that you will more than likely have to pay almost full price for it is unnecessary.

They should make one. So we can give them constructive critisism so they can see where there flaws may be fixed.

I like this answer. But GT6 Prologue shouldn't be priced as a full game. Maybe DD only for $20-30. That way people will be more apt to try it and not be getting ripped off for buying is essentially a "demo" or "beta".

Also gives them more time to work on the game + more time for a price drop for the PS4.

it wouldnt surprise me if they have some kind of free GT6P game at the launch of PS4 to help it sell, since i dont expect them to have a full game developed in time:P

I think a PS4 Prologue would be used more as a "rough draft" so to speak. As a building block to see what they can and cannot do on the PS4.
