That does seem fun and i like that track just wish the payout was more to spend all that time on it
Indeed, I got 48K for finishing first in a 12H custom endurance race on that track  It was a lot of fun and I'm gathering cars to make the ultimate classic car line-up. Left to get:

1966 Jaguar XJ13 12,000,000 LCD May 25
1997 Porsche 911 996 GT1 Strassenversion 3,000,000 LCD May 26
1954 Ferrari Mondial Pinin Farina Coupe 4,000,000 LCD May 30
1994 McLaren F1 18,500,000 LCD June 2
1970 Porsche 917K 18,000,000 LCD June 3
1966 Ford GT40 Mk1 5,600,000 LCD June 4

Total 61,100,000

I'll add up the cost of the cars when I got my 20 car grid ready

That's 74 Tokyo Tomahawk races worth of credits for 6 cars, 18.5 hours of grinding if you can do 4 per hour :/
Oh and then you still need to tune and buy tires, but that's 'only' 300K per car

Slight rant, but does anyone else feel like the stats for Sport mode are severely lacking in GT7? I didn't play GT Sport much, but I'm surprised that they only track 1st place finishes as "victories" in GT7, as opposed to podium finishes. Would also be neat if they tracked average starting position versus average final position, among other things.

The penalty system continues to infuriate me at times but that's a rant for another time lol

If it were up to me, there should be at least one race on the Nordschleife or the 24-hour Nürburgring circuit every week. Alternating Gr1. then Gr3. then Gr2. and finally Gr4.
The whole thing with at least 2 laps, even better 4 laps including tire wear and fuel tactics.... I would only drive there :D

Of course Gr.4 Atenza and WRX as well as Gr.3 Beetle have to be weakened beforehand :P

I collected some data Saturday and Sunday.

I did 8 races on Saturday in the top split rooms
Beetles are marked red, WRX purple, my finish position in yellow:
Bathurst 5-21.png
At least the last 2 races were won by something else, yet that was very late with all the other A+ drivers gone.

Today I wanted to test if SR and DR resets are really still the same. So I tried to reset my DR by driving back and forth on the track in a quiet spot (still causing yellow flags though :/) It seemed to take more effort than in GT Sport yet Bathurst is not the easiest place to stay out of the way while triggering SR Downs. But after 3 attempts I had hit bottom, D/E.

Confirmed, changes in DR and SR letter are not updated at the end of the race. You don't see the result until the next race or if you check your profile.

In the next chart, DR and SR letter are from the previous race, showing what it was when the race started
Bathurst 5-22.png
Same as in GT Sport, race C, very easy to get back to SR.S, it only took 4 races.
The beetle is definitely less popular in lower DR.

Price money is the same no matter what DR or SR you have.
These were the amounts for Bathurst this week (clean race bonus amount)
1st 59,910 (89,865)
2nd 40,014 (60,021)
3rd 36,034 (54,051)
4th 32,055 (48,082)
5th 30,065 (45,097)
6th 27,081 (40,621)
7th 25,091 (37,636)
8th
9th
10th 22,505 (33,757)

Huge drop from 1st to 2nd. 2nd place with CRB is barely higher than 1st place without CRB. 10th place with CRB is worth more than 4th place without.

Payouts need to be closer together, 5% less for each position. And x2 for DR D, x3 for DR C, x4 for DR B, x6 for DR A, x8 for A+. Make the DR rank mean something and don't make it 'profitable' to tank your ratings.

Race A: Red bull ring short track, Golf VII GTI '14

Race B: Autodromo Nazionale Monza, GR.3

Race C: Autopolis International Racing course, SF19 Super Formula

An interesting week, finally some open wheel action

New to online/Sport - will these be the races for the rest of the week now?

Finally managed to slaughter some Beetles with the Corvette to end the week of Bathurst. Third Sport win so far!

Had to hammer it out of corners with TC1, but I got comfortable and nearly had the fastest lap too!

Onwards to Autopolis, one of my least favorite tracks....

Jesus those are some insane lap times in Monza, 1:46:X 😅 So far after 6 laps practice managed a 1:49:X.

How do you watch ghost replays of others? I managed to load the ghost but from where do you see them play out?

Race C is actually a 2 part race. There is the survival aspect of lap 1 with the crowds and cold tires. Then you get to part 2: surviving the track.

Inside kerbs on corners are lethal if you are giving it throttle on them. Found out the hard way. Started p2 in my first race, someone didn't brake into turn 1 and I end up p16 after turn 1, 2.8 seconds behind p15. Claw my way up to p5 and promptly attempt to dodge a ghosted car that was almost up to speed and clipped a curb. Back down to p12. Managed to fight back to p5 at the end. Only made about 3 actual passes. The rest were people wrecking off.

Race 2 I started p2 again, and survived turn 1. Then I was caught in a 3 wide sandwich on the run to turn 2, with a pack on our rear so I couldn't even back out. Both outside cars were fighting for room to stay on track and the chain reaction bouncing ended up with me into p3 and the others all off in a mess. P2 had a penalty and after I passed them p1 ran off track. Smooth sailing from there. Clear air is soo good if you can stay on track.

Not thrilled with the start, but looking back I didn't see anything else I could do but hold it as steady as I could.

Good luck out there all. That track is trying to bite back.

This might be complete bull****, irrelevant or both... But... I'm sure the Kudos Prime tracking in element in GTS didn't go online until a few months after release?

Great, Monza. The draft + T1/T2 cluster eff track. I will give it a go.

A quick look at the leaderboard and the top times are in the....... wait for it............. Beetle and WRX! Nice, for a change!!!

Gr3 at Monza and there will be no Ferraris or Lambos in sight. Shame.
As I always say.. ****** balancing... but there will be at least one car that can at least keep up... I personally hope for the Jaguar, which is currently giving me a lot of joy.

Mustang did well for me at Bathurst and with Monza having similar characteristics I look forward to trying it again.

I bet that bloody beetle just glides over the chicanes like silk sheets though

Well, nice to pick up an earlybird win, before all the real racers get going

Did a few qualifying laps and managed a 1:28 which put me second, 1st place wasn't as fast as I thought and managed to pass him fairly easily and drove it home with a 10+ second lead. :)

Its always different when you have people on road with you and not just doing empty runs, bet the 1st place guy was all nervous seeing you comin up fast, we forget all them practice lap strategies lol

It does when they know how to handle it and not just trying to drive the car the top 10 uses, i wish me beetle wasnt a meta for these dailys, because it was always only a couple of us in them and it was nice to sneak those podium finishes in while everyone else was in the rcz or other
