Hi guys, unfortunately my brake pedal isn't working
I've seen something like this before - might be due to dust in the potentiometer. Might need a few sprays of air, or taking it apart and cleaning. Some good walk throughs should be on YouTube and it's not as difficult as it sounds (fingers crossed bud)

Had to be in the office early this morning so didn't get to any sighting laps (for A & B not touching C with a barge poll!)

Is there an emerging Meta for B this week? Guessing the usual suspects, Beemer, 911?

At least PD is doing some new stuff here and there. I'll give them credit for that.

C looks like fun. My only gripe (before even doing a lap) is they've added aero tuning. What they've done is make some cars rockets on the straights and some on rails in the turns. Usually those two things don't mix well with each other in a race and carnage ensues. I feel that may ruin this combo before it even has a chance.

No, but the four laps is plenty. As would none.
Four laps is more than plenty, in fact it finishes just after the next race starts so if you want to go again (I'm not sure why anybody would to be honest) you have half an hour to wait!

Just now seeing Race A is the Radical! NICE! What a fun car that is.
Apparently this is one of those cars you have to do weird things with the gearbox to get speed out of like the MP4/4, from memory it's upshift twice then down once at pretty much the same time, if it is like that it kills the race for me.

Edit: Just a double up not a down, I still hate it.

Yea, that is true. As I recall, when this car was a TT the top times were doing exactly that... and I can't remember if they were going from 3rd to 5th or 4th to 6th. Regardless, that is very annoying. I'd hate to lose a spot - or more - going down a straight merely because the game didn't register two super quick up-shifts.

It is Race A though with no DR so I am still going to give it some runs.

My ps5 is being delivered today, maybe in the next 2-3 days I'll have time to set it up and join in on the action this time, but I'll have to sign up for PS Plus again or use my Playstation Store gift card to redeem my balance by entering a code. Hope it works, it's been a long month and a half without the console. I may try a stab at the ring this time, and be brave/bold.

Imagine racing against this....!!!

Safe to say, I didn't win as I couldn't tell what on earth the guy in the West car was doing 😂😂

Glitch Turismo...

What on earth was that!! That made me jump some at the beginning of the video. It's glitch-mania. That's never happened to me before. Maybe you should re-boot your console, and maybe the glitches will go away. Or it may be on PD's end.

We had radicals in a daily C (Road Atlanta) a long time ago.
The trick was to double upshift from 3rd to 5th gear in the long straight and the problem is that if you dont execute it with a perfect timing you can be eaten alive by the ones who did it right.

Race C this week is a no-no for me.
I love racing at the nords but not with this super jets.

We saw the elite of Gran Turismo struggling with this combo yesterday, why would the mere mortal enjoy it?
If Its hard to overtake with "normal" cars I cant imagine what would be with this super downforce demons.

I don't know how ANY high DF car can survive the Nord'...seems akin to pressing harder on the cheese as it goes across the grater. I am a total N24 junkie and this combo just isn't going to work out, lol. Kyoto and the 'Glen it is.

So frustrated w/last week, but for good reasons. Did ZERO racing -BUT- it was thanks to the kids/high school musical. They enjoy the art of it all, I enjoy building stuff and tearing it down in record times.🤣

I was residing exclusively in Race A last week and I was pleasantly surprised to say I could race at any hour of the day, including the weekend, and i would get a competitive and clean contest.

Completely respectful, of a high standard, and dive-bomb free no matter whether I was logging on at lunchtime or after coming home from work/socialising late at night. I even broke one of my rules to never race around midnight, but even after everyone had clearly had a few and was racing purely for the bants there was some real fun to be had both in seriousness, and occasionally silliness.

Shame it's a combo where you're only able to lose DR. Increasingly I'm realising this is a weird dynamic.

Hi guys, unfortunately my brake pedal isn't working. Basically, when pressed at 100%, it "vibrates" between 100% and 60% randomly (seen in the calibration section)
What's you're brake pedal? Some have force feedback to vibrate at certain settings so you know hoe far your are pushing it. I believe the Fanatec V3 pedals have this feature. Similarly some Fanatex wheels (The v2.5 for instance) will vibrate for pedal travel. These are configurable.

If it is some other pedal, then I don't know.

I've a G923 Logitech. The funny thing is that I had the same issue last month at Tokyo Gr.4, but on the throttle and in an opposite way like vibrating between 0% and 40% when released. So the car was "pushing" while braking. It went on 2 days, then stopped. No problem after 1.52 patch recalibration, so Spa and HSR went very well, till last Friday with an undriveable car at Spa and very bad feeling at TM. I'll need to check the potentiometer and alignment of the mechanism, maybe also find a way to put a much harder spring to have a less "spongy" behavior from the pedal. Still, it's an entry level solution. I'll buy in future an used Fanatech from someone that purchased it just to use it maybe twice and make it just accumulate dust. In Switzerland it's easy to find deals like these.

Those should not vibrate or "judder". Sorry can't help on that. I wasted money on mine by upgrading to a TrueForce loadcell which is good improvement but ultimately the best solution was to scrape the Logitech and get Fanatec.. Though they can have issues as well (my brake is currently registering 12% load even when not in use).

The minimum input setting cures that.

I believe it's an issue with the game rather than the pedals because weirdly I have a different dead-zone for all 3 profiles and on one of them I don't have the phantom input at all.

fully disconnecting the pedals and a full restart of the wheel base and console rectifies the issue

That is what I have been having to do, adjust the min input, but it's getting worse over time, so I keep on adjusting it. I love my V2 pedals but I am beginning to wonder of the brake is failing as I have tried servicing it to no available. Anyway this is tangental to the Daily Race thread which having looked at the offering I'll probably skip for yet another week. Really, I'm working through single player and TTs and until I fully complete the game I probably won't be back to the dailies for a while.

I've gone through a lot of the SP content now and while it's nice to experience in the best way, I'm pulled back to Dailies or TT but with the TTs nailed (I'm not an alien so not pushing anymore on them this cycle)

The dailies is where I'll focus but I'm not a fan of Kyoto in GR3 especially as I'm struggling to make some alternative cars work in TT and when I say alternative I mean the sub meta "metas" admittedly I've only done 30 or so miles but I can already sense what B will be like.

Edit: meant to say I'm on the cheap loadcell pedal upgrade to the base ones, but I'm assuming they use the same sensor just better packaging and design for yours.

I like race B, the track is a good match for the gr3 cars imo. I started out with the Corvette and was puzzled how everyone else takes the S curves at the beginning so quick, as well the long U shaped corners. Changed to the M6 and it was much much easier. I usually don't like using the popular cars but this time it made no sense to stick to my original choice.

Just did 2 QT laps and a race in the radical, moving to the back for SR the one thing I will say is that SH tires on these cars do them a massive massive massive injustice to what they are capable of. I've drive cup spec cars 3 times and they have substantially more grip than this.

I'm liking the combinations for Races A and B.

Race A: SR3 SL - 2:04.813 Oversteer coming out of Turn 7 is giving me fits and costing me tenths.

Race B: NSX Gr.3 - 1:35.297 Giving me extra power for those chicanes isn't a horrible idea. At all. I can do better. 😑

Race C: Me in a Red Bull X2019 Competition/Anniversary at the Nurburgring 24h with human opponents?

Is not a game problem, my bet is on dirty potentiometers.
I had the G923 and I had to disasemble them at least once a year to clean the dust.

When the flickering is a tiny thing you can fix it calibrating the dead zones but when the problem is that big (between 0 - 40%) you have to clean them.
I dont recommend the air spray without dissasemble them because you will move the dust from one side to another inside the pedals case and the problem will return sooner or later (ask me how I know ;))

I hope this clip helps you

You guys aren't the only ones experiencing issues with your pedals. I have the CSL Elite v1 pedals and my throttle pedal acts up sometimes. When I hook it up to the PC to calibrate the throttle is fluctuating wildly. After I set it, all is fine until it isn't again. I've had it working fine one day and then the next time I turn the game on it's not. It recently destroyed my 90 min league race. The race had rain and I was constantly running off track in the corners. After watching the replay, it showed I was on throttle when I clearly wasn't. Even though I was practicing earlier in the day and it was working fine. So frustrating as it's completely random and can work properly for weeks at a time.
