Something is really weird with the connections on PS5 for GT7. I get full bars in GT Sport, but the same configuration gives me 2 (3, if lucky) on 7, lol.
If you watch the YouTube streamers, 3 bars seems to be the most you can get on GT7 on PS5 - it's rare to see anything lower as well.

I seem to remember one of the streamers saying that it's just a visual glitch. It's odd for everyone to just always have 3 yellow bars. Don't remember who it was or if they had evidence to back that up though.

Now that i have to race A/B split lobbies i‘m more and more facing not only the „here i come to bulldoze you“ guys but also the smart ass “let me tap your rear to help you into the shadow realm“ muppets. That‘s even more annoying. For the bulldozer i could at least try to convince myself, they can‘t do it any better. And of course, the smarties know very well what they do and leave the lobby in a heartbeat to avoid some kind regards 💩

The A/B lobbies are really weird. Practically a meme at this point. People pushing for, or hanging onto A. Definitely brings out the worse in people and they have the skill to race quick as well as dirty.

Just did a Race B and saw a familiar face @TechnoIsLove. Nice work on the 7th from 10th. The rolling start isn’t kind.
I was running fairly safely in third and the front two were 2.5s ahead and decided to take each other out on the last lap handing me the win!

Got my first Sport Mode Win today 😅 I must admit it was in Race A but who cares, a win is a Win right?!
Not that I care, but it was a welcome Variety.
I had so much fun this Week in Race A, hilarious.
The amount of Filthiness and Stupidity and in General the idiotic Behavior from even some high rated Players was insane.
I got destroyed and ran over and pushed off so often it was pure Filth.
But it was fun and that’s what counts at the end of the Day.
Imagine the raging from People who actually entered this race with a serious Mindset 😂

It amazes me how many people who're B, A, and some in A+ don't understand the dynamics of the first lap. This isn't a quali lap, people. You have to brake earlier than what you may think. Your car is full of fuel, it has cold tires, odds are you're going faster than usual because you're in the slip of the car right in front, and you're contending with dirty air so your turn-it will be compromised as well. Any one of those things would require one adjust their brake point, but all of them together have a synergy effect.

I try to give people the benefit of the doubt; the adrenaline is flowing, maybe a little butterflies in the stomach, etc. Regardless, one would think most people would understand the differences in the car's behavior. As we know, surviving the first lap is often 90% of making it to the end. Too many people are trying to win the race on the first turn and we all know that saying...

All that being said, I will say most of the people I've been racing against lately are pretty good and fair. Not all, but most. Thus, there is hope!

It's nice to have Pole Position. QT 50.701

WRX is 4wd mate, the car did it again at bottom of the hill before the death chicane I am turning right car turns left into the wall?!?
Just finishing a race without the car trying to kill me would be nice.

Same thing again beginning to think my controllers dying or something.

100% controller issue. Looks like it disconnects for a brief second or it might be related to the stick drift all these controllers suffer from (unless you're using motion).
Try another controller, borrow one from somebody or buy a crappy 10€ one just to try.

What's your PSN username? Would be fun to know who you are during the races 😁

Since I started playing GT Sport, I have never seen such empty rooms in Sport mode. Earlier in the week, I even raced five cars at Daytona in Race C. In Race B, I raced with just eight cars. Race C ran more than three times with eight cars to ten cars on the track.

Today, in the middle of the weekend, I had a race with only six cars in Race C.

Really GT7 urgently needs a gimmick. More circuits, more modern cars, Single Player and Lobby overhauls need attention. If it continues like this, with updates dripping in, GT7 will be dead by the end of the year. And, even if there is a robust update at the end of the year, I find it difficult for the fanbase to return, as they will already be entertained with new games.

"The A/A+ badge is more important than life itself"

Think about that statement for a moment. It helps me understand the behavior of a small but significant number of top split players. Especially the ones that give the little love tap in the rear quarter panel on a high speed corner and then pass... they know exactly what they are doing. If it was an accident the player would naturally lift and not take advantage.

Did a Race C last night for my daily workout, qualified 3rd using a lap time set by a 787B, and then I did the race in the 962C.

Geez! 787B is way too fast in current BOP. The 962 can't even keep up in the slipstream either.

Besides all that, I managed 3rd in a late night PS4/PS5 split lobby in my 962 so all is well I guess.

Absolutely, even i - counting myself obviously still as a beginner- understand it very well.I always take it easy especially first corner and dont do stupid things but actually i‘m busy enough to avoid the stupidity of other people anyway 😆 This week has been a very good one (for my rating) because so many people overestimate and push too hard here and there.while i‘m not the fastest driver but i have a consistent pace.I‘m very good especially in the infield but still lose too much time in the bus stop.I could be better. But i never ended the race worse than 8 even if i got punted off track more than one time in one race.I never quit a race as well because i know that the order can shake up til the last round if you are patient…

Two late night race B and made a fool of myself in the first. I started 9th in top split so was already annoyed lol. The idiotic rolling start gets my goat when you’re facing a wall. Turn 4 someone made a terrible rejoin and slammed into the side of me. 2 second penalty plus engine damage. Race over. Drove like a pratt for the remainder. This is something I’ve learned to deal with but lost my head for the first time in a while. If I just raced my own race I would have made some positions back.

Race 2 sent to the naughty boys lobby; still SR S but clearly a drop split - started and finished pole. I can see why people deliberately hit their SR. Easy to farm DR in lower SR rooms.

Hate the first lap corner. It’s when you glance at your radar and see this blue arrow flying towards you, you just kinda grit your teeth and hope they don’t hit you.
Last week with the super formula was the worst for this first lap crashes. No brake lights and super quick cars on a standing start, it was inevitable for cars ge to happen.
Stuff like this should have been included in the license missions, along with learning to overtake and racing etiquette, instead of how quick can you a 400m drag run.

I had some good racing tonight in race B after moving back up to A/S. All but one with Techno starting a place or two ahead. 6 races and I haven't quite dropped back to B/S, so I was doing better than earlier in the week, haha. Still using the Merc SLS.

A few of the other guys were doing a bit of banger racing, I don't see that starting near the front in B/S, but the back of A/S is a different story.

The back of any grid is worse I’ve found. The rolling starts seem to bunch up the back much more than the front so the chances of something going awry are increased.

Well my strategy is different from you all. I try to get the pole position or at least 3rd everytime but sometimes it doesn't happen that way. I'm familiar with the Daytona track, but it's hard to set a good time, see my level is usually a C/D whereas most of you have A+ to C levels. Which means some of you are more experienced with the feel of the car/track than me.

I think all of our strategies is to get pole!

This is why starting last works so well in GT, and why I continue not to bother with qualifying just to get rear ended in lap 1.

Starting last or near last, I don't really attempt any passes in lap 1, coast into corners, brake early, and pass half the field before the end of the lap... So many people fly off, either on their own or with help from others. Matchmaking is to blame as well with A+ to D rooms, especially on ps5. (Didn't have that big of a spread on ps4, odd) The fast front runners get rear ended in the first few corners, then need to get back to 'their position' asap, so they take out more people on their mad rush.

Anyway race quality on ps4 is somehow much higher than on ps5, so I'll stay there. Oddly, the only slowdown I got during the race was also on ps5, dropping frames where ps4 pro holds steady. (There is very visible pop up on ps4 though and some more detail in the lighting on ps5. Plus the dualsense does enhance the driving experience, too bad it can't be used on ps4)

For today I didn't bother trying to race again after the servers crapped out this morning. Didn't have the energy to play for hours to find a couple decent races. You can't just play one race since it likely will be a mediocre to disappointing one. Play 6+ in a row and odds are there will be 2 memorable ones, maybe even a great one with awesome drivers. Yet if you only have time for 1 or 2 races, don't bother with sport mode.

Tomorrow is Sarthe in Toyota baloo whatever. I'm already demotivated after signing up. It seems PD puts more effort in their eula and legal nonsense plus entire questionaire before you're allowed to play, than to provide a decent playing environment. I was gonna log on to chance my greeting to "Kaz, pull your head out of you ass and fix the game" but will do tomorrow.

Btw anyone else get the Can Can playing during sport races? Is there no end to the trolling... Music off.

Silver/ dark grey SLS? I remember you 🙂 I think once you overtook me last corner of the race as well 🤫🤣 I committed suicide in a few races lol at the CoD last night but managed to climb back up to A/S again 🎉
