GT7 Daily Race Discussion

Decided to take a break from ACC last night and try some race B. Had a good clean race but had to laugh at the south African dipstick in the green WRX. I overtook him once and he punted be off, so I had to race hard to overtake him again. Last corner of the last lap the pressure gets to him and I get a super fast exit on the corner, I'm right up his chuff. I sense he's desperate so move right to overtake and as I do so he goes for a brake check. I think this is the most desperate, pathetic behaviour I've seen in a daily race. Why do that if you've been beaten cleanly? There should be a way to report this sort of childish behaviour.

In thr main my sports career has been OK, but come across an idiot last night that wouldn't allow people to overtake on straight after chicane of death. He kept braking before and losing momentum, then would swerve all the track to stop cars getting past on straight...

Absolutely the worst, still don’t get why slower folk can’t just yield, also for me, and I’m doing 2-4 race b daily, at b DR, and very rarely seen this sort of thing too

The dirty one is pretty cool (and one of the first ones in teh search if you're so inclined) but it was too close to the original for me.

I'm in the rental unfortunately as I preferred to spend on the Nissan and Porsche when they were available, not knowing that PD would give the Mazda a cartoon style speed advantage when a race came around

It would be nice if when a car was available in a race that it would be put back up for sale as well, would make you know.. sense. Wish they hadn't gone the whole hog with the rental system and killed livery variation for replays etc. but here we are.

2nd comment….agree totally. Grids of identical cars are hardly inspiring. Livery creation is one of the better things in GT and should be encouraged.

Yes rental is fine for qualifying/practice but you should have to race a car you own and also as you say if the cars are available to buy when they are needed they'd be no issue. Instead we get almost full grids of rental cars which is a shame.

I took the Citroen out for a spin in Race B (alt acct) and flew past 5 cars for 6th place. It doesn't corner well.

The BOP is insanely one sided, the combos are Still the same old and there's no working penalty system.

The level of cynicism on display in Race C beggars belief. Blatant disregard of “no contact” and punts that remove you as a challenger not just as an obstacle.

These people are an embarrassment to themselves & the flag at the side of their name. They ought to be ashamed.

This is supposed to be racing, not armed conflict.

That is quite telling.

There's no excuse for pd to be so lackluster with their daily race selection. In fact I can't see why they're only changed once a week instead of daily. It gets stale fast and I have nowhere near that number of races.

I did my first Race C and started last (no surprise there) but between others crashing and getting penalties, worked my way up to 7th.

Last lap I'm on 6th place's ass and he literally drove into the grass of the last chicane, got over 1.2 seconds gain from me and only got a 0.5 second penalty which still made it impossible to catch up as we finished 0.6 apart.

Piss poor from PD, along with the changes to the overall pens which enables dirty driving, this literally encourages cheating now 🫤😢

I need to give up the hope they'll ever try the full damage way of preventing contact because I know I'm going to constantly be disappointed by them not doing it.

Full damage, harsh SR and higher credit payouts for higher SR brackets are honestly all I think needs to change for things to be on the mend.

Encourage people to drive clean by giving them more money for staying in S rank. Make it so you can end your race through contact - and a couple of these DNFs/crashes needs to drop your SR bracket.

People then race clean for more money and race clean to avoid ending their race. People who don't care about SR end up in the bottom grades within a handful of races and are out the hair of the S ranks. It seems so simple.

Yep, they should add a ‘pro daily race’ with full damage and no ghosting.

You get a trophy for washing cars? And same car or 10 total from entire fleet?

Not sure to be honest, I think you just wash the same car 10 times. I saved it for last seeing as it “should” be the easiest one. 😂

It seems like they expected people to enjoy collecting and customizing cars, more than racing them.
I haven't seen a lot of effort put into the online racing.

They should also give you some leeway or buffer kind of thing when you move up ratings. I reached A level first time Friday evening but since then, went back to B, A, B, A too many times 🤣

In B lobbies, my worse starting position was 5th but in A, I'm lucky to start 12th 🤣 and all it takes is for someone to take you out, hit a barrier, lose the clean race bonus and back down a level! And compared to how little you get for finishing 10th from 13th, it's too imbalanced..

i went 13th to 10th 3 times.in a row all clean races, get hit once on race 4, lose bonus and back down to B...

And yet it's the most pointless button in the game seeing as the cars barely get dirty. It's like they're mocking us.

I kept the sports races for last as well. Unlocked the Platium last week.

Washing cars is not hard to do with the roulette ticket rewards.

Usually I don't care to much for the whole trophy thing, I just play the game and any trophies that are earned are a 'bonus.' But, I saw the Win 50 Online Races one and it piqued my interest (as at the time I had 30ish).

Well, today I got my 50th online race win! Here it is, crossing the line P1 for the 50th time...

....only to discover there is no trophy for 50 online race wins, rather 50 online races. What a dope... ah well. Just gotta laugh.

Look out A+s, I am coming to slow you down!!!

My 2nd account hit A+ this morning! Kind of making it a bit redundant as the whole point was to use it to mess around with and I ended up taking it as seriously as my main account once I got it near A. Guess I will have to start a Pussy Galore account.

That’s the thing, I started doing exactly what I didn’t want to do by putting time into qualifying and just grinding the same race to farm DR. I originally did it so I could bounce between all the dailies without worrying about DR.
