Those who EXPLOIT this "fault" know they are cheating, this is why they should get penalized.
They know the exploit and tuned their cars to benefit the exploit and is cheating plain and simple.
I half agree with this. But where is the limit?

I do know of a glitch/bug that randomly appears by playing the game normally. My friend has not had the same luck in same circumstance. At this time not revealing what it is and what it has to do with. I can say it has nothing to do with tuning or track limits. Just a minor thing really imo.

PD got to fix their stuff with online multiplayer real fast, this week is the deadline imo. Needs to work start of next week. At latest. Then we need a patch for the dirt driving tests to fix them. I want to complete and also completely gold my S licence this week.

PD, if you are reading this. Fix the issues with GT7 and I will reveal all I know regarding the bug, with picture proof. That is a promise 🤝 Unless you have discovered this secret bug, and fix it in the next update/patch before my help that is.

Ooooh…….a secret bug. Thank you for your input, Commander Bond. 🍸🤵‍♂️
You are welcome, good luck finding it 😎 My plan is to reveal it Friday evening/night this week, if PD fixes the online issues and rally test issues before that. And if PD has not found the secret bug before that.

If I were a betting man, I would put my money on it staying hidden for some time, if no one tells anything about it. Since it is random, when and if at all, it occurs.

”Your, mission Jim, should you choose to accept it, is to locate and reveal the secret bug, which may or may not exist.
As ever, this thread will self destruct in 5 seconds.”

Damn they removed BoP again.... I put in a legit 1:45.5 yesterday for nothing it seems... Really wish they would stick with BoP for at least 1 race.

Sport a mess right now.

So anyone who went and bought the VW VGT wasted a ton of credits.
Yep. Feel like a mug, not just for buying a car I didn’t want but for grinding a lap time that’s now been discarded.
I won’t bother with race c but if anyone can help out with a race b gr4 car and tune it would be a tremendous help.

I never won any in Sport. This time I bought the Peugeot and have won 3 of my last 4, but I do feel a bit dirty using that car!
I’ve gone the opposite way. Over 600 GTSport wins as an A/A+ driver and I haven’t even been a factor in any gt7 race yet. Guess I should put some time into tuning….

I really liked the daily races in sport, being time poor, it was always nice to just load up and race.

I guess it's the only way for them to make it fair for the races without a game update, but it's annoying, as I was planning to use the qualifying to test lots of cars with BoP on. Basically, grind a race for credits till I could afford a new car, then test it in qualifying, record the results into a spreadsheet, repeat. I did 4 cars last night, but that's it now.

I don't know all of them yet, or rather a few of the Gr.4s, as you know, but based on the data and the track layout, the Supra Gr.4 should be very far ahead here as well. A car that's available for free for licenses (International B = Bronze) maybe give it a try.. I'm still at work and then we'll see.

Yeah your probably right. Better this then those bugged cars.

Just did some laps at Daytona in the McLaren 650 and managed a 1:46.3 but there is definetly a 45 in there.

Gonna have a go at the upcoming race.

They still call them “Daily”, huh.
Well you can race them daily 😀

Personally I wouldn't tie them down to a timeframe in the title as you can race them numerous times a date or during the week so it may be misleading.

Timing wise, I think the same races for a week is good, for me anyway as I can't get on often so it gives me chance to tune and try to improve before rotated out.

The mix of the three are good too.

Is there much latitude for upgrades and so on for the Gr3 and Gr4 cars within the limits of the races or is mostly freedom for suspension and other performance tuning?

You can put forced induction on some of them, not sure if you can put nitrous on them as well?

A gentleman as always

I really really hate this. They ruined the best thing about GT Sport and I saw it coming. As soon as I saw upgrading cars was back I knew this could happen and completely ruin sport mode for me. I just don't see why they can't keep the tuning to the lobbies, and leave sport mode purely for competitive multiplayer. I don't like tuning, and I don't have a lot of free time. That's my problem but GT Sport made things so simple I had an absolute blast only worrying about the racing.

Can someone help me understand why some people are refusing to race without BoP? Why is having to grind to buy whatever car is meta that week preferential to just buying one car from each category, applying some generic tune that works for most tracks, and just using that in whatever races come up?

A common theme seems to be "I want to know I got beat by the better player, and not the better tune."

Well, first of all, why? What difference does it make? The game has SBMM so if you genuinely believe that not tuning is making you relatively slower, it won't make a difference long term. All SBMM cares about is creating competitive lobbies, if doesn't care how you get your laptimes and results, if you can get a 1:30.500 without tuning, and someone else gets a 1:30.500 with tuning, what difference does that make to how competitive the race between you will be? And really, what's the difference between a meta tune and a meta BoP'd car? Accessibility I guess, but only long term arguably, in the short term how many players have the time and desire to grind credits to buy the new meta car every week? How bad will that be when Gr.1 races become a thing?

And secondly, if someone is really good at developing tunes and uses that ability to gain an advantage over you… Well maybe you need to evaluate your definition of what makes the better player.

It seems they are at least doing some daily races with BOP, but it was bugged. It should be back after an update, don't lose hope comrade.

Guys, what do you think is more important? A warm daytime track or a decent bit of tailwind on the straight?

Also, does the Corvette still need to be shortshifted? My best time so far would say yes but I'm not exactly mister consistent, so...
To answer your question about the Corvette, judging from the shape of the powerband, it does seem like it needs to be short-shifted to get the most pace out of it still (power falls off sharply starting a few hundred RPM before redline with the stock power setup).

Because we've all been playing GT Sport for 2+ years and have all the racecars in that game. Being reduced to a paltry 4 Group 3 cars after a week of racing is practically poverty! Woe is us!

No really the issue is PD demonstrated time and time again with GT Sport that they barely even play their own game, and that trend has worryingly carried over to the new flagship game.

Yes, cannot be a good feeling. In my opinion, game still in early stages, some patience required to deal with the bumps and itches so to speak 😅

The easy route is to take whatever you have in your garage, and go with it.

E.g. last week, I knew a R35 GT-R weighing 1274 kgs with 292 bhp never was gonna be good enough at daily race b deep forest. But I went with it, did not want to buy a R34 or VGT due to price (saving money spending for other things than sport mode, bought F50 and 911 strassenversion, F40 too).

Still P6 (P7 on grid) and P8 (P9 on grid) given the weight and power deficit, at least it had great brakes compared to opponents. So not bad, good clean racing and luckily only one VGT in each race. Players against VGT usage mostly? 🤔

I focus on the fun part, menu books and car collecting right now. Sport mode competitiveness can wait.

My NSX was never that fast on BoP but I dont fancy adding 50kg and taking off 15bhp.

The vette reaches a higher speed with new bhp/hp limits than I was getting last night out of the so the new restrictions will make there be only 1 or 2 viable cars for top times, which is a real shame compared to BoP.
