Is Willow Springs not available in sport mode? They've not used it one damn time. I like Interlagos and all bit good grief they rotate it in every other week.

A+ getting matched up with D drivers in race A lol
I mean I'm probably not alone in that I just don't run Race A at all unless there's something unique about it. No interest in random road car going 70 mph around Tsukuba for the umpteenth time. I get there's a core player base who enjoys these but I would imagine they're the least played Daily's.

Now making it an open tuning race around Watkins as next week is, that's how you get people to click.

I got up early for the Silverstone race today, figured that I should do something to pass the time, and ended up driving for a bit.
So first some laps at the Nordschleife in a CTR3 with nearly 900 horsepower. Pretty good warm-up/timewaster.
Then hopped into sport mode and got the least skilled win I've ever received.

Straight up no battle for first. Just pulled away with a gap of 10 seconds from P2. My first win is at my home circuit, but also really uninspiring.

Final report from this week's daily races:

Same procedure as always. Race C, was put in a lobby with 9 DR A drivers (why?). Started P8, managed to climb to P4 in Lap three (on mediums!) because of other cars examining the wildlife. And then usual plot unfolds: Impatient m%&€*s on softs push me off track twice, despite me giving them space to let them pass on the inside. Back to P9. After the pitstop I'm P8, bad exit from turn 1, I try to let the driver behind, who has a run on me, pass before the bus stop. But no, he decides to rear-end me into the barrier instead of going around, I end up with P13 and a track limit penalty to rub it in. No penalty for him, of course. Thanks, I quit (which I normally don't do).

Next one again with B/S drivers exclusively, clean race, everyone behaves, from starting P7 to finishing P4, all good.

I wish the game would stop trying to promote me to races with DR A drivers.

I can't get out of DR.A since the A and some A+ drivers crash too much. Thus even without overtaking anyone I still finish mid pack and my DR won't go down further. (Not qualifying)

So I'm always 30+ sec behind the A+ sprint model winning the race and the only interaction is getting passed by crashed A+ drivers. From what I've seen it's not a good track for racing anyway. Lot of contact, contact all the time. It seems the only way people know how to pass is by sticking a nose on the inside at turn in and then pushing through with contact or make a dive at the bus stop. Races would look very different with a working penalty system.

I've had a couple good passes which are mostly a multiple corner affair, side by side. Yet more often than not you get turned in on or pushed wide. I agree, B/S crowd is much better at driving contact free.

End of the week, more and more crashes during the race. Instead of people getting better at driving clean on this track, they just get better at aggressive overtakes. Push to pass. Put the strict penalty system back on and every lap would have a traffic jam at the penalty zone

Fun track to lap on / follow another car. Bad track for racing without a penalty system.

Got two more wins on the A account today! Not sure if most people get bored with the Dailys later in the week or what. Throughout the week I was pretty happy to get on the podium, and I've gotten three wins in two days. Regardless, don't care... I'll take it!

Race one the started P3, got P2 on lap 1. Guy in front and I were very similarly paced. We both pit on lap five to go from S to M. On the outlap he went a bit wide on the last left of the track, for a .500" penalty, I got passed as he served it and hung on.

Next one I started 2nd behind the same guy I was behind in the previous race. I had a little more pace but following is tough, so I went for the undercut pitting on lap four. As he came out on lap five it was side by side through the esses and I was able to get ahead by inches and hold on for the rest of the race.

This is the second time I was able to make the undercut work, guys. Dirty air is huge here, IMO. If you can pit early and just get in front, makes a huge difference in your lap and your opponent's. The bus stop and the winding turns are brutal in dirty air.

How do you drive MR GT3 cars?
I’m disappointed that the McLaren and Ferrari are not competitive in this game. Im doing some practice laps at Nurburgring GP and picked the Ferrari as I want to drive it and in real life it’s a good GT3 car, but every corner I lose the back end and spin round. The thing is just completely undriveable. I want to start driving a verity of cars now. I don’t care about my DR score (I’m using my 2nd account fyi) so see this as a good chance to improve and learn my skills for more cars, but MR cars are just pants

Mine is blindingly fast, until I hit a braking zone, then it’s brown trouser time.
433 BHP, 610 KG, 550pp on sports softs (it’s suicidal on comforts).
I can probably sacrifice some power or add ballast to get it down to 500.

Hi, I'm GT7... have we met?

Common problem and complaint in the game. The MR cars are, for the most part, worthless... especially when BoP is applied.

Gave the Vette a go in a couple Race C's. Feels great on the softs but as soon as I get on the mediums I drop like a stone. And it gets so light on the entry to the bus stop and ended clipping the wall in both races. Haven't clipped the wall in the M6 or Genesis one time.

I won my first ever race today in Race C! It was my first time in a B lobby as I'd just gotten promoted so I was terrified, but I was placed P2 to start the race. For whatever reason P1 just didn't start (maybe was away from the controller?), so I got around him right away and never had anyone close to me after the bus stop. There was contact between the guys behind me at that point and they took each other out of contention. I was nearly 6 seconds ahead of P2 at the end, which was one of the guys who got booted on lap one. He accused me of being the dude who pushed him, so I couldn't even enjoy my first time ever winning a race. And my first race as a B/S driver.

I watched the replay to make sure I wasn't at fault and was able to see more clearly what happened, so I messaged the guy who was so angry at me to offer an olive branch. I don't want a headhunter coming after me every time I see him in a race! Hopefully it works.

But dang! I WON MY FIRST RACE!!!!!

Same here. I gave it a try before I finally went to the ugly (sorry, just personal taste, nothing to debate here 😁) Genesis X. In maybe five practice laps I hit the wall at least three times.

That's really funny, because I've been avoiding the Genesis X for that same reason without even realizing it until you just now described it!

As to not name names, by any chance is any of them running an black livery? And any of them with a German flag? 3 races in a row and both of them extremely unsportsmanlike but managed to avoid them by braking early and moving aside at the end of the fast chicane in sector 2 and watch them both fly into the shadow realm 🤣😎
Call these guys out maybe the shear imbarresment of everyone know your a dirty player will help or maybe they will quit in shame

Only had my first stab at this weeks Daily Races yesterday (late Sunday), wish i could of spent more time on Race C, was really enjoying the few races i had. Despite my love for GR4 4WD races I avoided Race B as I could see it being carnage.....but next weeks Race B looks like pretty tasty.

Hey, first of all, congratulations on your success. Enjoy it and don't let it get you down. If you're sure you haven't done anything wrong, then don't worry...
Sure, the video of the race can give you some clarity and if you have the time/feel like it, check it out... the other driver could do the same, if he doesn't he's just ignorant and basically unimportant to you.

Of course you may see him again in another race.... but most of these "heroes" don't remember it in the next race and look for new drivers who are to blame for their own inability and who they are then blame them for their own bad driving.

Always try to drive fairly without being too defensive, because whoever drives too defensively leaves "doors" open... and these are also invitations for less fair drivers.

I've also had a few nice and not so nice races in the last few days.. anyway.. it's still a game.

@sturk0167

Yes, I had the same thing last week... after the bus stop...

2 drivers in front of me tried to get through next to each other, turned ... hit the crash barriers, etc. both were ghosts and very slow. I arrived at full speed and thought.. "I can just drive through there..."
The first one went really well.. the second it was like hitting a wall and bouncing off it like billiards. Multiple impacts in the crash barrier..front = red, rear = red, ALL wheels = red, engine = red + time to get back on track. It's that easy to drop from 4th to 16th place.

At such moments I get an incredible rage at the idiots at PD for programming such flawed and totally insane crap.
Just this completely exaggerated damage to the vehicle in such a short race is ridiculous.

Unfortunately my PSN name, Grand_Slammin (a baseball reference before I ever started racing) is hard to forget when you think I’m an aggressive driver who punts people! I sent him a message just to clarify, but I no longer feel any angst about it.
