I can’t figure out how to get the @ to work on those chat messages. Give me a hint.

Also, I noticed they left out a bunch of automated messages that would be really useful, like “you suck” and “______ is dirty af” and things like that. I think those would be a lot more handy than “what a jolly good race, and how clean it was!”

I just drop an "Idiot" or "Dirty" at the person who hit me or whatever. Won't change anything, but it makes me feel a bit better.

I watched the video and what a tool. I've had that happen to me so many times and I hate it. And I agree, if you get passed, fall back in line and plan your next move. I've conceded so many positions when I know I'm beat. I don't understand why others can't do the same.

Was hoping to have a good race with @sturk0167 in B today but I totally biffed it right before the bridge. Rear tire must've just touched the turf/grass and around she went. Oh well, had fun battling a GTR for not last place. Was actually some good racing.

Decided to finally give race C a try in the Ford. Started in 2nd and made the pass for first on the front straight of lap two; the Ford has some legs! Guy who was now in 2nd messed up in Ascari and spun on lap three. That gave me a five second buffer and they must've all been fighting because by the end I got the win by over 10 seconds. Was kinda boring, honestly. At one point I looked up at the lap counter expecting to see lap 11 and it was lap five.

I read a post that @Famine made in a thread a monthish ago that laid it all out; it was very easy to follow. I tried for a min but couldn't find it; if he's in a good mood maybe he will.

The gist of it, as I understand it, is it's 100% dependent on who you finish ahead of and who you finish below, as everyone in the lobby is stealing DR from everyone else. Let's just say there is a lobby with 10 people. Everyone except you is a C rated driver and you're an A+. If you finish 2nd, the C rated driver in first is going to take A LOT more DR from you, than you will take from the remaining C rated drivers in positions 3-10. Thus, you finished 2nd but lost DR.



That is another "risk" when lobbies are thin. When there is A+ thru B, should something happen to you (say there's a spin or a punt), you drop way back and finish back there, your DR is going to take a big hit; whereas if you finish with the other A+ guy, your DR won't gain much at all.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong here.

I did a Daily B on my 1 account today and ran in to this issue. Was starting P3 and there were A+ thru B rated drivers. I was thinking, if I bin this car it's going to hurt. Thankfully, I finished P2 (in the Mustang to boot)!

You'll only rarely lose DR for a top 3 finish, and it will only be in lobbies where you should be finishing 1st. The DR system only penalizes you if you do worse than expected.

Well then it's a shame that the game doesn't know me any better. If it did, if it really knew what to expect from me, I would win tons of DR in every single race...🤣

the return of chat templates has added another dimension of fun I didn't realise I was missing!

It's increased the positivity and friendly tone of the lobbies immediately, it's been nice to see.

Before when you're going into the lobby and no one is saying anything and only taking the time to type something out when they're angry usually, it just felt quite a cold environment. Now people can say good luck, let's have a good race etc. with just a couple of button presses, people do it, just lifts the whole mood in my opinion.

Yea, fair question. The latter half of my post is another reason I've been on the 2 account basically all week. It's like when your 10 year old nephew challenges you to an arm wrestling competition. If you win, you don't really win because he's 10; but if you lose... you really lose!

I've only done one race on the 1 account this week which I mentioned above. Finished P2 behind another A+. Behind me was a B. He never threatened me but all it takes is a bad turn or two... had be finished in front of me that would've hurt. Anyway, I digress.

I think this week's dailies aren't interesting enough for most people to be playing, so lobbies are extra thin. Just a guess.

That Skyline is a monster around Monza. You're running at 178mph through curva grande - it eats up the Supras completely.

Very sluggish shifting and coming out corners though, so it remains more balanced than the prime Supra ever was. I think the Skyline will finally fill the gap that the nerfed McLaren F1 left behind after GT Sport.

I would advise against doing that because someone can report you and the way Sony is these days, you could be in trouble. Yes, 90% won't do it but someone will and you'll get message from Sony. I've been on the wrong side of that and since then I've stopped, it's not worth it. You can say dirty but idiot and similar insults are risky.

I've found the report function in game has stopped working - you waste time navigating to it, selecting your options, then at the end it says report failed!

I don't mind banter & calling people out for things, but try to report for swearing or offensive language as it's just not appropriate.

As for this weeks daily.
Race A I’m not a huge fan of road car races, so 90% of the time I skip these type of races. I will at some point race this weeks.
As for daily b I like this race, but my races are a bit stale. Just not enough laps to make up any ground for me. I’m between racers, in that most ahead are too fast, and the, behind arent quick enough. I’m getting a lot of clean race bonus though.
Daily C is just too boring. Done two races so far and I think I’m done with that.

Bit early to say yet, but there are a lot of Skylines filling slots on the leaderboard, certainly a change away from the literal 99:1 ratio of Supras to literally any other car we had beforehand.

I improved my time by half a second with the Skyline (1:37.4) after 4 or 5 laps, but I hadn't touched the race since Monday so my Supra lap wasn't really a fair comparison, especially as that was only a couple laps worth itself.

Hitting the report button in the game doesn't do anything. That just goes to PD, and they don't care.
The way that people get you in trouble for your comments is to screenshot it, and send it to Sony. Almost anything can be construed a violation of the Playstation code of conduct.

That's wrong on three counts.

Firstly, it goes to Sony Interactive Entertainment's content moderation team, not PD. And they do care, just not about the things you'd care about in a racing game (people being dicks on track).

Finally, it definitely does something, but only if you report the right thing - which is people swearing and being abusive in the chat box.

Report that (and don't interact in any other way) and you'll find people getting warnings and suspensions.

Would like to confirm reporting works, got in a lobby with somebody that had the N word as their ingame name (spelt different obviously, but you could see what it was) and a report through the game got confirmed very quickly and had them dealt with within the day.

Might give the skyline a blast on race c if I can fine the energy to do the 12 laps.


As for Race C that pretty interesting. Mediums should hold up all race, so I guess it’s who ever can fuel save all race and pit last lap for the hard. Or go flat out and burn the fuel on mediums, pit and refuel for the hards. Could be some good racing here

I don't know if it's that cut and dried. I got suspended for telling a serial rammer what what going to happen to them in the next race.
I didn't use any foul language. Nothing abusive. I simply referred to the interaction between two characters in the game.

I have been threatening serial rammers for a couples months now, I have even gotten a couple to quit by basically out ramming them on smurf accounts. So basically I just have to start ramming them on smurf account and hope they threaten me?
Ignoring the bully works untill your DR starts to drop significantly from said bullies.
One guy literally caused me to drop from 60 percent A to 90 percent B in matter of a week, I started a smurf account and just hunted him down every race literally waiting for him everytime I punted him , and told him I would keep doing it till he apologized and stop ramming not just me but anyone. I havent seen him online in 2 weeks now. I keep a list of dirty drivers to make the list you have to A. Drive dirty and B. double down on your dirty driving in chat when I asked why punted, its also obvious in play back who accidently hit you and who punt you on purpose. Until penalties come back the only rational response is this.
