Does anyone have a tune for the engine-swapped EK Civic?

I'm rolling with a half decent one, but it's designed for use with the default engine, and I can't get the thing to turn.
I’m assuming the engine swap added weight, but I may be wrong here. More power and more weight will make it under steer quite a bit. I’d take a look at Praiano’s tune for the Scirocco on the previous page for some pointers.

I'm at 1:20.0 for race A using praiano's tune except front roll bar at 1and given that I don't have any of the special parts there's no way I can compete for top times. I think I'm just going to focus on tuning the more obscure cars though I have to grind for credits first or wait until the time trial ends, I will see how it goes. For now I tried the engine swapped '97 Civic and it's about 3 seconds slower. I also tried it with a jelly car tune but it can't roll on comfort tires.
It doesn't need special parts.... A few minor changes to Priano's tune can push under 1:19.6xx which currently will get you in the top 20

I'm going for Race C this week as much as I love to race Gr.2 cars, I'm not a fan of Fuji. With my practice yesterday and today, I got my qualigying set at a 1:18.850 so far. I did two races this evening and I had some good fun. I'm in the Mustang as I have been enjoying racing with this car.

Race 1 I'm actually in a room of all B rank drivers and I'm all for it. I start P8 on the grid and start on the hard tyres. Honestly, nothing really happens in this race. It was nice clean racing, aside from incidental contact, with everyone being respectful with leaving space and backing out of tight situations as needed. I went with a 9H/6M strategy and my tires were shot at the end of the race. I lost so much time to the driver in front of me. But I had a big lead on the driver behind me so nothing was lost position wise. I finish the race in P5.

Race 2 I'm P7 on the grid with mostly the same group from last time. Again, not much drama in the race. It was a lot more elbows out and drivers trying to force passes which resulted in more contact as compared to race 1. Nothing to really disrupt the flow of the race however. I started to get a cramp in my left leg and that made for a few interesting laps after my pit stop. I went with a 10H/5M strategy this time and the difference was that my last lap on the hard tyres was an adventure. I finish P7 this time.

I had great thme this evening. Intense, but respectful, racing with some great battles. I do need to clean up my lines more in general and break earlier to compensate for worn tyres at the end of the stints. Still, I'm happy with my performances during the races. Looking forward to more tomorrow.

Man I cannot stop racing Race B.

I was never really familiar with Fuji before this week so took it as an excuse to learn it, and man what a fun track. Racing here is phenomenal, the driving experience is phenomenal - just overall amazing fun.

Knocked my quali time down from the 1:30s to 1:29.0 with certain potential to drop into the 28s. Found a taking to the NSX in the race too, it loses a tenth or two on the straight to the GTR but man that thing has succ, it sticks to the ground through corners with gorilla grip, I love it.

I've found my non-meta Group 3 bae for Race C. It's the '99 GT500 GT-R.

It's quick enough out of the corners, and the tyres hold up long enough to put the willies up your opponents towards the end of the Medium stint.

yeah for sure. in the racing I saw last night the vast majority of the top cars were Porsches but almost none of them were able to finish where they started. If you can put it all together the 911 dominates, but it's incredibly easy to spin off/cut track/make mistakes with.

I'm running the Mercedes as I'm most comfortable with that car. It's punchy, fast, and corners well. Takes care of it's tires pretty well (not great, should have pitted lap 6, stretched it to 7, lost a bunch of time that last lap)
I love the RSR and I'm a lot faster in it in Race C than anything else, BUT, it is rough on tyres, understeers under full throttle and has a very weird off-throttle oversteer problem in the slow corners. If you're not familiar with these idiosyncracies it can be an absolute nightmare to manage at the end of a race.

My advice is to run 10h/5m and maintain light throttle in the hairpins.

Shot in the dark here. Is your router sharing the power outlet?

I sorted out a lot of connection issues by isolating the power outlet for the router. Learned later that shared outputs cause power spikes that do interfere with Powerline and Wireless signals. So for me it wasn't a loss of signal but a feedback loop of too much at a time.
i struggle with the same damn codes and its only the router plugged in the outlet .. still happens

What was your laps time like? For me its 2-3 seconds slower than the Scirocco.
I'm no fast driver, so did 1:25 but as I say, its a fun car to drive. I'm sure there is more in it, with some setup changes, and a really good driver would surely be able to knock 2-3 seconds (or more) off my lap time.

I have been knocking out the beetle in race C, alot of meta drivers in 911 but i didnt do any qualy for races but ended up 5th or 6th each time, so im going to plug a qualy time tomorrow and see if i can get some better results, cant get a clean race for life of me on it even though im not hitting drivers, but ill take the results..may even do some race b as well

I'm ending my attempt go go faster for Race A at 1:19.7. I have no idea why but tuning doesn't seem to matter for me. I've had 4 different tunes be within 2 tenths of my best lap but all impossible to run consistently. The only patterns I can find are front ride height and anti roll bar lower than the rear, camber never over 1.5 and max downforce. I'm going to wait the 26 hours for the time trial to end so I can have credits for tuning other cars.

One of my favourite tracks to drive since doing lap after lap way back on GT4 just because it was so beautifully rendered and made for great photos as well. People knock the 3rd sector but I just find the whole circuit challenging and fast, almost blind going up the back end with those twists and turns in cockpit view. They've also managed to capture the area really well in my opinion, you can almost feel the fresh air

That part is maybe just in my head I don't know.

1.5 camber only?? I'm running more on the rear

Tried my first 2 Race B of the week yesterday. And the last ones as well. Man, for the first time i got dragged into that agressivnes ****. For most of the time i just tried to survive and probably caused chaos by braking too early, i guess. But when the punting and shunting just didn't end, i raged the first time on this game. Sorry for that, you won't see me again. I am not good enough to stay in controll with this car/circuit/speed combination (and others struggle to, it seems).
(edit: ... and still not one penalty for me in these races)

I will try Race C in a more relaxed manner for this week. Tips and tricks welcome (for an AT driver). :-)

Livestream of my S P O O N R

My luck is literally nonexistent, the stream crashed for no reason. I guess I will keep the stream up as proof that PD is inept (as if there ain't already enough proof). In its place I will do a PD Logic video when I get a chance.
The code has no search results on Playstation support, as of now it literally has no reason for why it happened.

So what you're saying is it's a 911? Actually love it though, it's a monster in the first sector. I found you have to take tighter exits than most Gr3 cars, but it just launches out of corners. Z3 is similar but has the downside of a turning circle equal to a London bus.

My 2c though in terms of driving technique curiosities; in GTS, you could keep mid engine cars stable under brakes and turn in by slowing down your downshifts and keeping in a higher gear to the apex. 911 RSR was similar, but it meant you could seriously shorten the braking zone with trail braking. GT7 is the opposite, I found the only way to keep the rear stable entering that tricky right hander after s1 is to slam down the gears to 2nd.

It says device busy and nothing else. The game didn't crash and my internet didn't crash so hopefully it isn't my PS4 being overwhelmed. I guess I can try streaming in lower resolution but I doubt it will make much difference.

Back on topic the engine swapped EK Civic is 3 seconds exactly slower for me. I think I'll try the Renault safety car next because it's unique, but I'm fine with using whatever makes for a fun race.

So I just had a fantastic race on Race C. I held off someone that was hounding me throughout the entire race. The largest the gap got to was about 1.4 seconds. I got the win and right when the results screen ended my game crashed. Does that win still count towards my record even though my game crashed?

So far for daily A.

As a the slowest A+ driver in the world.

Scirocco - 1:21.4 Qualifying 1:21.9 race
FK8 Civic Type R - 1:21.8 Qualifying 1:21.7 Race
RCZ GT line - 1:22.3 Qualifying 1:22.6 race
Swift Sport - 1.23.8 qualifying 1:23.9 race
Mazda Demio - 1.24.5 qualifying 1.24.8 race

Can not figure out why the Scirocco is so much faster in a straight line, its more stable than the CTR as well, but I like my loose CTR tune.
I may only be a D rated driver but my choice of using a Mini (it had a cool livery) was very very wrong!

Not until you get to the results confirmed stage. So depends how far it was until it crashed

I'm enjoying Race B so far this week, although only did 4 races but I've been away mostly since Saturday 😂

Had some decent results and all clean, except the one where I was intentionally sent from Fuji to Tokyo by a "friendly Belgian" 🤣

Managed to always start P7 in the rest and always finish P7 so I put some more time to practice and shaved off 0.3 from my quaky time and am now at 1:29:6 so hoping for higher starts and better results!

Tried Race C qualifying and best compromise I found (handling v time) was the Jaguar but doubt will race it as I think the race is very unpredictable over 12 laps and don't feel like losing DR again 🤣

This is a funny clip from last week's races. I got into a nasty scuffle with another driver on lap 1, and lost a bunch of ground.
On the last lap, I started to get near the leaders, who had been just having a one-on-one race the whole time. I doubt they realized that another car was closing in.
Just before the finish line, the leader hit his brakes to give the win to the other guy. The other guy then braked to let him have the win.
Then, they found out they weren't alone.

Use 2. Gear in the sharp left turn of sector 2. there are still a few tenths left... the one long before it on the right goes a little faster.... otherwise a very nice run.

I've had this same thing happen but the other way. Two weeks ago at Bathurst I finished P2. While we were at the screen showing times and waiting for other drivers to finish, P1 dropped (likely his internet connection was lost or the game crashed). It bumped me up to P1 and I was credited for the win. I convinced myself that I indeed won the race as his car failed post race inspection. But that's neither here-nor-there for your question/issue.

So if you were still on that screen, you likely did not get credit for the win. If you knew how many wins you had before that race, you could easily check but I assume you knew that already.
