#lunchbreakracing on monday means Race A.

Surprisingly good fun, as long as it stays clean. Had a first try starting from P4, falling back to P6, fought back to P4, which I lost in a tight but friendly battle over four laps with a french driver. Not a single contact. Nice greetings in the chat afterwards, CRB, hoping for more races like that one.

I wish this Daily Race A lasted longer because just as when I'm starting to get into a groove and managing to get some good results, I only raced twice on this daily and I didn't even know this was happening as well but that's on me to blame for missing out.

I only managed to do two sessions just as when the Americas Final Nations Cup Daily Race A combo was about to be done and got a decent time of 1:19.4 which put me on pole twice. First and second races weren't eventful as much because of the matchmaking and really as soon as I got through the Senna S curve while the others got perished due to T1 tomfoolery, it was a cruise to the finish at that point twice.

Also I'm not feeling it with this week's dailies. Race A looks interesting but I was hoping for a different car to choose from other than the GR86 and/or the BRZ. Race B on the other hand I'm just sort of not into some DT Seaside racing for now and lastly for Race C its not my thing right now as I'm still trying to get my confidence back in doing Race C just like I used to in Sport.

Are there still meta cars for Gr. 4? The tyre wear and required pit stop make it seem enticing but I don't want a full field if Alfas or GT-RS.

My two favourite original tracks in Race B and C this week, very nice PD, must have noticed I've been on Need for Speed since launch

Will definitely be dropping in tonight, back in DR C I'm feeling some wins are up for grabs.

Supra and GTR.
Personally I've been switching between the Supra and the Porsche... But I don't know why I'm faster in the Viper
Thanks, probably I’ll use the gtr as the Porsche oversteers on tight turns, and I know you mean, I use the beetle from time to time and do surprisingly well in that too

Another week off for me it looks like, race B feel like we’ve seen this track a thousand times since launch, and 4 laps really doesn’t do it for me. Race C is just a WRX fest again, BoP really needs some work in GR.4. Shame really, as last week was one of my favourite weeks on GT7.

I've been dodging the ranked races for a few weeks in favour of Race A and time trialling....

Came back to Group 3 again at the old GTS classic Dragon Trail Seaside, one of the places where I cut my teeth in the online racing scene.

Wow, I've forgotten how prolific the murder specialist Death Chicane was. I'm sure in heady times I was bravely full throttle through there, but now my exit speed is consistently on par with what you'd expect after hitting the wall. I'm terrified!

Under race conditions, I'm bracing myself at every hard braking zone and not without good reason, either. I've climbed a net of 8 places today from 3 races from simply picking up the pieces of damaged cars and penalties. I am not quick!

I couldn't stay away from the pipe, in spite of swearing off GT7 dailies 8 or 9 times this week, I jumped into some lobbies last night.

I have gone from a "brief" A/S rating to C/B over the past few months. During my brief A/S rating, I was destroyed by real A/S drivers.

Yesterday, I was just trying to find some good battles with good racers at Fuji. I had some good moments, but overall, in EVERY race, I was murdered at least once. P6 to P-last and a 10+ second gap to the next driver on the grid was the norm for every race.

Have we done it with Gr.3's on medium tires before? It seems to me it was on hards last time, but I could be wrong.
4 laps really doesn’t do it for me
I wish it was 5 laps also, but for some odd reason, this track with only 4 laps doesn't feel as bad as Fuji with only 4 laps - not sure why. I reserve the right to change that opinion, though. At least there's a variety of competitive cars on this track.

Been a quiet week for me so I’m defo in for some gr3 seaside this week! What’s the beta so far? Porsche/Nissan?

And, race A reminds me of the tuned mini race from when sport started on gt7, shame they don’t that one with SR/DR enabled! Awesome fun
Supra is on top but a fair few cars seem viable enough to be competitive.
Hopefully I won’t have to use the supra, man that thing doesn’t stop!

I always had good luck in the Mustang before, but it doesn’t seem to want to stop this week. I was doing well in the Jaguar but I got my best time in the Porsche. When you look at the leaderboard there are a lot of different cars, so it could be a fun week.

It was definitely RH. Today I had to buy RM tires for both the Supra and Porsche.

Yeah I noticed. Feels too short, again. With Fuji it was around 8min20 wait between races. Now it's 7min20. Not much of a difference. Still missing one freaking lap.

I absolutely adored the Spec Miata race at Road Atlanta. Oddly though, it seemed like almost every race involved mayhem at the beginning that would result in me being in last place. Once my fault, the other 5 times, not. It was a wee bit infuriating lol. But in my final fun race last night I went from P6 to P12...to P1 with a last lap pass at T10. Super sweet fun.

I had won three daily races last night, all of which were in Daily Race A. The first two were in the 21:40 and 22:40 slots, both of which were amongst the last races in the Increased Rewards Campaign. The third and last one was in the 23:00 slot, which was the first one with this week's new schedule.

absolutely missing Road Atlanta today. That said signed up for Race C with the WRX, set a 1:49:xx time, started up front. Lead for 3 laps, made a mistake, got passed. Both leader and I duck in end of Lap 5 for the mediums and I set off chasing again.

Still more mistakes but was able to finish 2nd. I know I can be faster, most of my time loss is in the chicane (T4-5 I think?) and the hard left hander before the last actual braking zone on the circuit. If I get those right and just be smoother I think I can qualify in the 1:48s
Either way a good time and glad to see it's not an Alfa fest... yet. I'm fine with a WRX Fest as at least it's slightly different lol

Why do RWD cars appear to wear front tires more than 4WD cars...? Was thinking C was going to have some interesting racing but looks like its just WRX/Alfa again.

Could be brake bias? I tend to run a heavy front bias in RWD and a heavy rear bias in AWD, maybe the BOP is doing similar.

Nice variety of cars in race B today. In this race, the top 6 cars are different, and 10 of the 15 were different (if I counted right):

The wall penalties aren't as penal as you might think at the CoD, because you serve them right before a tight turn. I had a 1.5 penalty in this race, and still managed to finish 5th (I think I started 4th). And thankfully, they don't affect the CRB:

I'm currently using the RX Vision, which seems to have a nice gearing for this track (for me), corners well, brakes well, and accelerates well.

Mustang has served me well, pulled off a 35.5 in it earlier on. Also tried the Lancer but couldn't make it stick as it was losing a lot on the straights, peaked at 36.0.

got a couple of wins last night each in the Jag & RCZ, good fun racing :) quite a few people seem to like the AMG aswell..

Had an eventful first race at Dragon Trail a couple of hours ago. Started P4 and saw an opportunity at Turn 3 (1st lap) after the 2 in front of me made contact and had a very slow exit.

P3 lost traction and forced me half-way into the grass and I had to keep straight and full throttle to stay alive. He ended up spinning and I made it through, he complained after but I had nowhere to go and (my opinion) I had every right to try to take advantage and pass both of them.

Had to deal with one or two very aggressive, if not a bit rough, drivers but managed to get a podium and a positive start to the week, especially after the horror show of dirty driving at Fuji...

Was I at fault here? I would call it a first lap incident but if he kept the car straight and in the middle of the track (instead of pushing me out) it would have been a clean overtake from me and everyone could have gone on with the race...

Just like the full Nurburgring, Seaside seems much harder than it was in GTS. I simply cannot navigate the chicane at all, i am hitting it relentlessly.
ngl the thing that helped me learn the tracks like Nordschleif were the endurance races in GT5. I ran them as much as possible and running the same circuit for 4 hours, or 24 hours really really teaches you the braking points, where you can accelerate, how to handle changing light conditions, etc.

If you can stomach it set up a 1 hour vs AI race at the circuit you're struggling with. Set the AI to as fast as possible, set the penalties to as harsh as possible, then go try to win the race.

Then repeat till you're comfortable.

I've done million laps at seaside, familiarity is not the issue.

MALTSAAB..... 55/45 his fault.
