Hey, I could have thrown in a bunch of European tracks
Never heard of it

I think Seaside Reverse might be a worse track than Maggiore in reverse. What an awful, awful layout. There's more flow on the back of a porcupine than there is driving this thing.
I'm sure it will sharpen up during the week but it does feel incredibly clunky tonight. The 'left' hander after the chicane, where do you brake, the entry seems to go on forever.. the last ess of that section with no run off... It's pretty painful.

Ran a dozen or so laps at Brands, seems to me it's the TT and swift, everyone else can go home. Ran a 30.1 in the TT, if I get it all together I maybe able to run a 29.7 I think The swift is about a half second slower, maybe a touch less.

Megane (not Slophy) is an option, at least at my level. The only front-wheel-drive that feels even a tiny bit controllable to me, the rest are understeer monsters destined for the gravel traps.

The same clown was at Watkins Glen yesterday, too.
Here he is, making himself look like an idiot on the final lap:

His reason for the punt attempt?
He said the Mustang, which was in 2nd place for the whole race, had been "taking up the whole track and driving too slowly to let anyone else catch up to the leader".
You heard that right. The dude that was beating him needed to be punted for being too slow.
Jimmy Fallon Reaction GIF by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

After he crashed, he became unhinged, spamming the comments with a bizarre rant.

I think he spelt the word on his bonnet wrong. Too many letters and he's missing a k.

@Leon Kowalski
I had ones a similar issue like you.
Go to ps5 network-settings-set up internet connection and then go to youre wlan connection press option on youre pad and forget/delete the wlan connection. In my case why so ever both collided and cause problems, since then my connection is good.
Hooray! That worked!🥳 (at least for today)

Allerbesten Dank nach München!🍻

And thanks to @Famine ,@nukewells_OG ,@TheNormsk and @GrumpyOldMan who provided advice and insight!

I tried it on my practice account and was so pumped about the connection issue finally solved that this happened:

:D

And it was actually some good fun and clean racing.

Three races this afternoon in A & A+ lobbies starting P4 and getting my races absolutely obliterated by some surprisingly horrible AND UNPENALIZED driving. Two finishes as P14 and one DNF because why the *** bother?! PD have pretty much guaranteed that I'm not going to be playing this game much anymore. I have no words for how furious I am right now.

between the stupidity of the circuit and the stupidity of the drivers Race C is a non-starter this week. In one race I was murdered three times, punted off track twice, got penalized for being punted off track, got penalized for punting someone else off when they decided they were going to brake from 140mph to 100mph into the COD and tbh that's asinine and I take no responsibility for that Race C is a SR killer.

Brands being also dumb and full of collisions is right out, and the bus race sounds about as much fun as watching someone else watch paint dry...

see y'all next week

Yuuuuup.

Two more races and two more ridiculous UNPENALIZED punts. Seriously, what’s it gonna take to get a fair race? And every single time I’m punted into a wall I end up facing backwards. Every. Single. Time. The least you could do if you’re going to penalize me for getting punted into a wall is let me keep my momentum going. Nope. Last place every single time.

This isn’t racing. It’s not a driving simulator. It’s not even fun. PD deserves to go out of business with this kind of product. Hey, but at least it’s got ray tracing!

Yeah pretty much

Just get rid of this circuit. Remove it so no one's even tempted to put this is a Daily Race at all. It's the same ****. Just backwards. Me spending lap after lap after lap trying to thread the needle to get in the Top 3k and then to eventually get baited into trying it in race and getting destroyed or you're punted, pushed, or blasted into oblivion by people who are clearly tilted from it as well.

Not even going to attempt to race this damn track again.

Not going to do the race but absolutely going to do more qualifying that was pretty enjoyable

Mental they reworked those corners at Trial Mountain and Deep Forest to promote better racing and then left Dragon Trail Seaside as it was - where half the kerbs spin you out and the Chicane of Death.. exists.

Dragon Trail existing doesn't even make sense. @Roflwaffle pointed it out well in their latest video - Deep Forest was supposedly held back from GTS partially due to scaling issues where "the kerbs were wider than the car" yet Seaside I don't think has a single kerb slimmer than the car, and on top of that they instantly spin you out for riding them.

Reverse is an absolute clown fiesta because all of the dodgy entry kerbs (the fat ones with red on the outside) are now exit kerbs and so if you use a kerb as you're supposed to, you get murdered by it.

I must admit to having some feisty but good racing at Brands Hatch this evening.

Inspired by our very own @Pigems to use the Toyota Supra, (one of the Group 4s I actually own) I managed to break into the 1.29s after much time spent trying.

One of my favourite tracks, encouraging consistent driving without the constant threat of race-ending wall visits. Like I said, some feisty moments but all in good spirit. As others have pointed out, maybe this combo encourages a certain kind of racing, but it seems to be mutually accepted and there was nothing too egregious. Mostly honest mistakes, usually resulting in a "race on" response from the parties involved

I'm not looking forward to the quali times improving over the course of the week, I've probably got a couple of tenths left in me at the very best.

I’m tired of feeling like a whiner because of these races, but as you all point out, the track is absurd and the people driving it are as well! I have absolutely no problem driving it in time trials, but as soon as other people are on the track with me it all turns to ****. I’m not doing anything out of the ordinary or braking in weird spots other than the chicken of death. And yes, I’m braking for that because of the dirty air of the cars in front of me. And because last race someone tried to go three wide into the chicane! People are making stupid decisions based on how they run their qualifying laps, and as I’m trying to be a little more conservative I’m getting murdered and they’re getting nothing.

I’m sick of getting penalties and getting spun around in such a tight spot. I actually had to drive out of the chicane in reverse to get turned around! This after the three wide incident, for sure, but every other time I touch the chicane walls as well.

And now I’m stuck in that familiar death spiral we’ve all experienced: I get punted out of good lobbies and my DR suffers so I’m in lower lobbies and my DR suffers even more because they’re even less skilled or cooperative. I’m trying my best to learn and be better so I can get in better lobbies, but the last few weeks I’m just driving backwards. There is no room for sportsmanship in anything but top splits. It’s frustrating and makes me just want to quit because I don’t see any hope of it getting better.

I knew that second account was going to come in handy. I can see how crappy I was in the C lobbies so there is NO way I tank my main rating.

I had forgotten how much I despise Brands Hatch. I can't work up any energy to even bother with qualifying. And since the other races are non-starters for me, I can't see myself doing much, if any racing this week. Last week I ran 20 races, down from my usual 50 or so. In fact, the last 4 weeks have been slow for me. I hate to think I might be burning out on this game, especially after spending so much money on the cockpit, wheel and pedals, but it's not looking good.

The only thing keeping my interest right now is that I may be close to getting my Stats program in shape to run on Windows and Macs, and potentially making it available to other people. Time will tell.

I'll be trying my luck at Brands Hatch this week although I do have a habit of running wide everywhere. Which is exactly what I do for a few laps until I find a rhythm. I eventually set a time of 1:30.5XX in the Mustang. Once I figure out how to take the Hawthorne Bend better I expect a few more tenths off of my time. I'm bleeding so much time there which is odd as I'm usually quick through that turn. I did try the TT and I was a second slower in it. Granted, I didn't do that many laps with it, but I was way slower in it. So, I'll be in the Mustang all week and hopefully I can keep the car on track for the races.

Check out or host a lobby race. Or a semi casual league. That’s what I do when I want to race but the daily’s are not interesting or unplayable. 🍻
