Oh look, happened to me AGAIN šŸ«£
I don't think you can claim complete innocence for that first corner incident. You ran wide onto the slippy stuff, and clearly slowed at the point the rest of the pack was accelerating hard out of the corner. Maybe the driver that hit you could have forseen this happening and avoided hitting you, or quite possibly it came as a massive shock to find you suddenly slowing as he was accelerating out the corner with the rest of the pack.

Yeah, for sure! In fact I didn't blame him šŸ™‚ I have a part to blame in it for sure. I expected the yellow and blacks cars to come together to the right, in front of me. So tried to take a wide line out to avoid a likely collision but black car came wide and slow and I had to go slow too and with the rear left on the slippy stuff, a bit too slow..

Did another race just now, started P8 and got collected but didn't spin. A bit of mayhem through the chicane and hard left and was down a few places.

Got to P6 and closing down on P5 but lost slight control in lap 4 and had to fend off the car behind as I lost 4 seconds in that error. Finished in a comfy P6 in the end. Lonely race most of the time.

Sure but to not even see a few more running practice laps / putting times in is a surprise.
The community dislike of the SF cars has also shocked me. They are by far my favorite car in GT7, and I love them even in the crappy Race B format. Having a car that does exactly what you want it to do, exactly when you want it to do it, is just bliss to me. The ultimate man and machine connection.
Itā€™s not that I hate the car, itā€™s partly that I hate the track but mostly that I donā€™t trust the people Iā€™m ā€œracingā€ with lately.
EDIT: This is a first for me. Went from B/S to B/B in 2 races. I think I'm changing my opinion on this race completely, because that sucks big time.

And this would be exactly why I havenā€™t been racing lately.

Donā€™t get me wrong. I love the game and am jonesing to get back in, but PD is making some garbage decisions for the dailies and Iā€™m having none of it until they extract their heads from their rears.

Well seeing as many complain, I am maybe not too dissapointed to not have done Daily B. Had a very busy week at work an was away from house Friday and almost all of Saturday. I think Super Formula should either be race A or C. With C the race is longer and strategy is involved, race A can get away with being chaotic as long as SR is not affected. I can see why Daily race B is being chaotic. A fast car most drivers are not used to and only a short race so ppl are desperate to make up ground. A recipe for disaster and frankly PD should know better šŸ¤”

Haha, the thing with Sport mode is you can't really find anything else like it on PS for racing games. It's so pick up and play, and you'll be in a lobby of usually at least 14/15 other players roughly around your speed for a few laps of simulation-esque driving and some pretty wild racing.

Everything else you either have to mess around finding a lobby, deal with some pretty awful bugs, play a way more arcade experience or just deal with have 4 or 5 players in a race.

GT just about hits the sweet spot, and nothing else challenges it at the moment.

EDIT: this is, of course, until you meet people like this

Question: Am i a horrible person for lifting off when i see someone pulling this stunt? To be clear, i execute a de facto pit on the offenders. Only after its obvious, usually after a couple door bangs. Often i barely apply any lateral pressure, and its their aggression which spins the car across my bow.

It feels a little dirty, but its always defensive(retaliatory) and no penalties for it that i can recall. Just seems like the only way to deal with those people.

The A race that starts tomorrow is always a fun one. Racing at SSRX is not all that serious. You don't need to qualify.
A large part of that race is luck. There are a couple of small things you can do strategically to improve your chances.

Get good at holding a steady line through the turns. The people who can't do it will destroy each other, and anyone else who is on their outside. Stay as low as possible.
Also, if you're in a line of drafting cars, don't try to pull out of line to make passes. It won't work.

I am looking forward to it. It's kind of a joke race, but it's fun. You should try it. šŸ‘

Definitely fun. Shame weā€™re in different regions, I imagine we wouldā€™ve done quite a few together otherwise.

4C was a proper little monster at Kyoto (last?) week - that thing has absolutely flown to glory after being one of the worst cars for so long, lol. Glad to see it getting some love.
Tried to use the Alfa this morning and went from P1 to P last! Canā€™t go through Eau Rouge/Radillon flat without getting a penalty. Same for Blanchimont. No time to practice in it as Spa is almost done. Shame as it turns in well and is also more stable when you get on the throttle than the Supra.

Daily race B was SR meltdown for me as well, but I just could not resist playing it, it was a lot of fun with this combo for me.

You could find good racing on it as well. Below I am sharing clip of my start going from 8th to 3rd position by avoiding the carnage and beautiful 3 way battle into the T1 a lap after. Couple little touches here and there, but I think it was fair enough considering how tricky it is to judge the speed and braking in this car. Finished on P3 as I lacked a bit of pace compared to the top 2.

Ah well that's me done for the week - I seem to have been stuck at B, two pixels from A/S for the last few days. There's been some great racing at Spa, where I've only been using the BRZ. I even managed a win with it :) The last Gr3 races we had at Spa, I had some good races in the Corvette but it seems to have been ruined with the update - no grip and no speed.

Oh, and I discovered last night that even online drink-driving  is a very bad thing. I attempted one race, and went from P4 to P15, running wide, out-braking myself and generally making a complete mess of it.

Did three more race Bs on the EMEA account. Guess my 31.3 didn't hold up too well throughout the week as I was starting P5/6. Got murdered every single race and it was everything I could do to make it back up into the top 10. So much for increasing the 3 account DR.

Here's my final results from this week, otherwise known as "How to go from B/S to B/C in 4 races".

Details on how this information was obtained can be found here, but it's boring.

And to anyone that thinks this is related to my DNFs, here's proof that it's different than it used to be:

4 DNFs in 6 races, and no change to my SR rating.

PD really removed a phrase that was probably against the rules messed up this time.

WoW šŸ˜® brutal indeed.

Next week is Nurb Sprint so itā€™s gonna be a tough week ahead for those who venture into the next B race.

Gotta love these bank holiday Mondays in the uk at the moment, shall be doing a few mount panorama today and also gt sport races switch today too

Horrible track, will be skipping in favor of Bathurst and whatever madness SSRX throws at us.

"Sprint" christ, next up is Fuji "sprint" where we race only the last sector.

I'm going to miss daily race C. Had some really good fun this week with some nice podiums and a couple off wins too. Even had some podiums starting from the back. Also bumped up my DR a bit. I'm not an alien in this game so not the fastest by any means, but here was my best race off the week starting on pole, fastest lap and win. Happy with that and now let the new week begin!

How do you like the BRZ now it has been buffed again? Is it a good alternative to the usual meta cars?

I did a lot of qually at Spa this week, but no races. Of all the cars I tested, I liked the BRZ the most. Also seems to have a decent top end now.

My favourite Gr3 to drive at the moment is the Aston V12 Vantage, but the lack of top end really hurts it, and its a real handful on RH tyres with TC0!

Part of the problem is that there's zero incentive to be a clean and respectful driver. Winning dirty and winning clean pay the same. Taking a SR hit does absolutely nothing to me in real world terms. It may put me in lower lobbies and if I'm fast enough that's a fast pass to some easy wins before ranking my SR back up because I'm that far ahead of 2nd place.

Paying even remotely close to what the equivalent time commitment with worse opponents as provided by the single player experience is the least they can do and remember I'm advocating to remove the penalty system all together because it's that easy to abuse.

If there's no incentive to be clean why be clean other than some artificial sense of sportsmanship and fairness. I can't get penalty points on a license like I would in real life racing. My team isn't going to drop me for being too costly re repairs, and my sponsors don't care if I literally murdered some poor sod into La Source or if I'm King Kitty Pants who pulls over when the argy bargy starts.

Ultimately this is a video game and you've got to use video game incentives if you want things to work. Since PD has no reporting system and won't be building one that path is out of the question. Sony won't take reports for "Driver x is a jerk" it's not against their code of conduct. So the only incentive left is pay.

I quit doing dailies because of how bad it felt to be the one penalized for someone else ruining my race and then getting damage/time penalties on top of that. It's not worth the aggravation at all. In a high payout world I'm at least incentivized to try to stick it out because I'll at least make some money. Last place should be paying out what first currently does. First should be paying out close to a million if it's a long form race for a win (ala Le Mans 700), and 250K for a win in sprint races.

And sure, the higher your SR the better your CRB should be. If your SR is S and you earn the CRB double your money, good job, do it again!
At SR D earn 1/4 extra your race winnings. Scale accordingly idk how you do it really, just incentivize clean racing.
I had an idea for a penalty system that I posted on here about a year ago. I'll repeat it here. Sorry for those who have read it already.

You have a race and are involved in an incident. You press a report button and save the video with the lap number of the incident. The video is then sent to 15 random people who were not in the race or on the friends list of any racers. These people then see all identical cars, all white, no names, with a just a number distinguishing them. They watch the incident and decide whether car 1 or car 2 was to blame, whether it was an accident or intentional, or a racing incident. The voters could get 50,000cr for voting, 100,000cr for being on the winning vote and 200,000cr for a unanimous decision. The driver at fault would get a 1st of 3 strikes for causing an accident or an instant dr drop for being a dick.

I picked the numbers out of the air but an odd number of voters would ensure the decision goes one way or the other. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Thanks for reading. My longest post yet.

It loses out on initial acceleration but seems to carry the speed well - able to close in on a GTR if in the slipstream, but not against a Supra. Tyre wear still good and it's great in the corners.

Nice idea, but... the main issues seem to be:

- The result would only be available some time after the race has finished, i.e. it wouldn't help in cases where incorrect penalties unfairly alter the outcome.

- Assuming the average race involves 15 people racing for 15 minutes, with 3 incidents, and further assuming the process of downloading a replay, checking an incident and sending a vote takes 15 people 5 minutes each, this would mean that around 50% of the time in GT7 would be spent on jury duty, rather than racing. (At the same time, watching replays would be around 10x more lucrative than racing!)

- To get 15 votes, you would have to send the replay to at least 50 people.

Missed you a bit on track this week. Was racing like 4 days last week and I can't believe I have seen you in the same race I was in. Not something I'm used to. It looks like you had some good racing going on? Nice mate!

Out of all the tracks in GT7, they pick Nurb Sprint again.
By the way I'm STILL waiting for Daytona Road Course in Race B.

EDIT: what's up with Race A? First time I'm seeing this...PD already tuned the cars you can select šŸ˜…

It's unusual to see with this many cars, but we've seen it before with mixed selections - particularly races with different types of Porsche 911.

Don't think I've done any races the past few weeks. Thankfully the time.trials have kept me satisfied.

With one of my absolute favorite tracks (Bathurst) up this week i will absolute be racing. Hopefully see some of you out there

Daily A is hilarious there's always a big one on the first banking. Looks like the AMG is the way to go.

Edit: quali time 151st in the world that'll never happen again.

Edit 2: oh yeah don't forget to do two quali laps in the session. You enter the second lap with a higher entry speed you can knock up to a second off.

My guess is that people will use this as a credit farming method and will just make a choice without looking at the video, and do this as many times as possible.

I'm still waiting for Blue Moon Raceway Infield A (CW or CCW) to show up in anything. I think that's a fun layout. Would be great for Gr3 (or Gr4 I guess) IMO. To my recollection, it's never seen the light of day in a Daily Race.
