I believe the Tyson has a boxer engine šOne day I really should learn to proof read before posting. I meant Dyson (as in the vacuum) and not Tyson as in the boxer.
But you knew what I meant.

Love the noises RX-7's make. The 787 tho.....šLOL! I've owned 3 different RX7s (with rotary engines, of course), so to me, it's music to my ears. But I totally understand that.
With the BOP tuning it appears 6th is useless on the 911RSR. It appears top speed is in 5th as if I change to 6th, not only do you lose time in gear shifting but the car actually can't maintain speed and begins to slow down slightly. Just have to rev it out for the two long straights. Also, is there some sort of ban on 6th gear at Spa. I mean, holy BoP, Batman...pretty sad when it's just not worth it/slower to use 6th.š
Ya, it seems the same is true of the NSX, Mclaren, and Lamborghini. I just hold fifth. With the BOP tuning it appears 6th is useless on the 911RSR. I'm using the Huracan, I only go into 6th if I've got a tow down the straights.Ya, it seems the same is true of the NSX, Mclaren, and Lamborghini. I just hold fifth.
I did indeed know what you meant, and even though I knew "Tyson" didn't sound right, my brain auto-corrected it.One day I really should learn to proof read before posting. I meant Dyson (as in the vacuum) and not Tyson as in the boxer.

I hear ya. I think - there's a ringing in my ears...Love the noises RX-7's make. The 787 tho.....š
And it has a beautiful grunt, unlike the obnoxious RX
I think I like the sound of the Supra best, and I think it's the fastest car speed-wise that I've tried, but I need to tame it some more. You can use its top gear on Kemmel, and I regularly top out at 162 there. With the BOP tuning it appears 6th is useless on the 911RSR. Eventually tried the RX and took a second off my qualy time. I'm assuming just to spite myself. Ugh!I did indeed know what you meant, and even though I knew "Tyson" didn't sound right, my brain auto-corrected it.

Seriously, the sound of the Supra reminds me of something that Tim Allen on Home Improvement would grunt over. It also makes me want to ask how many gallons per mile this car gets - you can just hear it suck down gas.
It gets worse!Eventually tried the RX and took a second off my qualy time. I'm assuming just to spite myself. Ugh!
I'm struggling mightily at Spa this week. I can't seem to drive any car properly and it's getting frustrating. I only did one race yesterday and it was not good. I was in a lobby with mainly A rank drivers and my start in P11 put me in the middle of the bus stop. I had no pace and I don't think the R.S.01 GT3 '16 is the right car as I was a sitting duck on the straights. And today, I switched to the Porsche and had the same problem with no pace. It felt like my car was in quicksand or something. I start and finish in P12. It doesn't help that I'm one of a few B rank drivers in A+/A rank driver lobbies. I'm going to cut my losses and be done for the week. Hopefully next week as some good combos.

I don't like the traction control. It takes away it's liveliness. I used it for my qualifying time and I'm at 2:19.8Which cars have you all tried? I'm really finding the Huracan to be good for me. I'll hit 256 KMH on the straight with no draft, not quite as fast as the top dogs, but I love the balance of it with TCS 1.
Don't give up on the 911RSR. At our level it is certainly competitive. You're currently 0.8s behind me and I know I can go another .4 in this car. There may be better cars for A/A+ ranked drivers but for B it is dependable.I'm struggling mightily at Spa this week. I can't seem to drive any car properly and it's getting frustrating. I hear you. It's been hit or miss for me, but the feeling of being stuck in the mud is something I experienced also. Mostly it's just that if you don't come out of certain corners, like T1, quickly enough, there's a lot of track for people to get all up in your backside.I'm struggling mightily at Spa this week. I'll give it a try right now. I meant to try it, but I had forgotten about it. Thanks! So, I just switched from the Huracan to the R8 for Race B and dropped my QT from 2:20.2 to 2:19.8 on my second lap with it. Guess I've found a new ride for today. Still don't like to use the meta, and even at low A DR I don't think it matters too much.
Then you should be starting as high up the grid as you can.Determined to improve my S/R rating tonight so I have been entering Race C with no Q/T.

Trying to stay out of trouble š¤£ It has worked so far anyway šThen you should be starting as high up the grid as you can.
Or are you just finishing last anyway, trying a clean race?
What do you think of it, comparing to other cars?I am running the Corvette at B. I saw one other, but that's it.
Before explaining my feelings towards the car I'll put in the disclaimer: I am lower B DR and none of us uses the car to it's fullest, my views won't replicate what a A driver feels. What do you think of it, comparing to other cars?
I'm about to start a league with it and Spa is one of the rounds.
Thanks.
That's the car I have been using mostly and love it (driving the 2015 version)So, I just switched from the Huracan to the R8 for Race B and dropped my QT from 2:20.2 to 2:19.8 on my second lap with it. Three more B races tonight and my march up the DR B ranks continues to my surprise! I tried some of the different cars mentioned here to see if one would work better than the 911RSR for me and while some were almost as quick, I never found the same pace over the entire race and found some to be less confidence inducing and for me, even if I lose .2s per lap, having confidence and consistency reigns supreme over out and out speed. So I went back to the 911RSR and took a bit more time off my QT.
I had QT starts of 7, 5 and 4 with finishes of 4, 4 and 3rd respectively. I've now gained 24% since the start of the week and I'm at 74% DR B.

I will say that tonight's racing was a bit bumpier with a quite a few SR A drivers in the lobby than other races and after the last I discovered that my SR dropped to A. Damn, that's going to put me in with the rougher crowd going forward.
This is highlights from the last race.
I realize a lot of the bumping is me giving love kissing to the cars in front. There is irony in that my car has the words "my rear is not your brake!" on the back
I'm trying to stay closer to the cars in front to give me more passing opportunities but that leads to some bumping when cars in front brake earlier than expected. I try to brake earlier myself to anticipate this but it is a fine line as if I brake too early then I get hit as well. Sometimes I'm the ping pong ball between two bats. Thankfully, this is all low impact bumps and when I do due this I back off so that the car in front remains in front. Still it killed my SR..
In the last race I got passed by a 650S at La Source on lap 2. Then it was very annoying as it held me up for two laps. I was all over it and trying to pass but couldn't make an attempt stick. We bumped a lot during that and I probably lost my SR there. I finally passed at La Source (cleanly) on lap 4 and apart from one failed attempt by P4 to pass me, I then had a clean run and pulled out 2 seconds per lap over those behind me. I think I probably lost 4 seconds, or even more, over 2nd due to the 650S.
Perhaps I'll stop there anyway and not push my luck. No races the next two days as I have movie plans the next two nights. Seeing Gran Turismo tomorrow.
