The current state of dailies....I dunno man.

IMHO, have a spec car for qualifying, so everyone uses the same car (no different from now) and then have the races be shuffled between the other cars (except the one spec car used in qualifying).

Then, there would be variety and unpredictability.
 
Lots going with the GTR. I only gave it a few laps but I think the WRX is easier. The Nissan has a little lift off oversteer but the gearing is awkward for this track and the power understeer is just as bad as the scooby.

That's cos it was gutless. Has power now so wants t push relative to the other cars. But RWD has been so nerfed in this game because TC is utterly useless (too aggressive) so it's AWD whenever the group allows.

Cool, well I'll jump into the WRX and GTR and see how I get on with them. Used to love driving both of them in Sport...

Quick PSA!

Race C yesterday I immediately jumped in the meta Beetle for an hour of qualifying.

Today I decided to try something else for ***** and giggles, jumped in the Gtr and immediately went 0.5 quicker, on my first lap.

Improved every lap for maybe 6 laps and by the end I had shaved off almost 2 seconds from my best time in the Beetle.






Tldr; Some cars are faster than others and just because the top 10 guys all use the meta car that doesn't mean its right for you.

You done something that most wouldn’t. I’m pretty sure half the field see that the Beetle, WRX or the Atenza dominate in the top 10 so they automatically use these cars.
If you spend an hour or two testing the others cars you can find another competitive car. Never been a fan of the meta cars myself but when I tried them last week I couldn’t get anywhere near my current lap times.
Ive been practicing with a few cars nows and Im getting decent results now as I’m consistent in my driving

Gee the BRZ is well worth a look in race C, not to qualify but it is VERY consistent in races. Beetle does feel the fastest to qualify in, cannot get anything else bar the Mercedes to work for me but usual caveat that I am useless without TC and TC1 is hugely abusive so i am stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Actually the M3 isn't too bad, i toggle on TC1 through the tight turns, turn it off in fast ones.

The McLaren is rock steady with no TCS. You should give it a whirl
 
Had a nice race yesterday in Daily A, was nose to tail with another driver for pretty much the whole race and in the end it came down to a photo finish at the line, there wasn't any back and forth throughout but still a fun race



Recorded a Music Replay of the whole race (without any music just to get the variety of camera angles)

Quick PSA #2!

This didn't do me much good as the algorithm decided to stick me in a much faster group henceforth, so I'm actually at the back of the grid now, despite being the same DR/S

I love the track layout in race C. My main goal for this week is to repair the SR. It went down to C in the last two weeks. I was little bit in rage at Le Sarthe :D It's really fun with the BRZ. I can go very steady waiting to see the others spin off. Top half is enough for me until the SR is back to S. And this works really good until now.
 
Finally got my win in race B, but even since then I keep getting put in lobbies which are 90% A S when I'm B S 😡 a couple of times I was the only B S driver on the grid!

Best and most enjoyable sport race for me along with the gr3 in spa a few weeks ago.

It's the most underrated track in the game. Great mix of corners, excellent passing opportunities etc. Get on it man.

I was surprised how good the racing was on this track.

Did several races yesterday and the first race of the day I ended up in a lobby with Stagger and TyrannoCyrusRex. I somehow started 4th in this lobby but dropped like an anchor. I was completely outmatched in that lobby. Lol

Did pretty well with a couple wins after dropping down but had some really good racing with guys closer to my skill level.

Going to try something else besides the Beetle tonight.
 
The jump from B to A felt bigger than any of the others.

It's bizarre going from winning races (or at least getting podiums) from even the back, to literally putting hours into qualifying, still only starting 14th and coming 16th because the two drivers behind you are coquelopez14 and Tidgney, and they didn't qualify.
 
Yeah they struggle on corner entry to avoid sliding because they are MR and RR. But you can lay on the gas.

Managed a sub 2.19 in the 911, raced well with it but struggling through the long left half way round the track.
 
Did a little time trial tonight to improve my Race C quali time. Previous best was a 2:18.6 in the Beetle and that felt like it was a fluke as I never really got close to that again yesterday.

Tonight I decided to try the Supra and within a few laps did a 2:18.4. Felt like there was more there and while it's really nice rolling on the power it suffers from quite a bit of understeer.

Then decided to hop in the Genesis. It felt quite nervous after driving the Supra but once I got the hang of it I knocked out a 2:18.2 then out of nowhere on a lap that didn't feel all that great I hit a 2:17.7 followed by a .5 then a .4. Definitely a high 2:16 there. The genesis is really nice on the brakes and rotates really well.

Had one more go in the Beetle and managed a 2:17.6

Will knock out a couple races before work in the morning.

I’m on a pad and find I always need TC1. Last week at Interlagos I did 134.4 quail with the Jaguar and couldn’t better it, even trying different cars. Could consistently knock out 1.34.x but no faster. Tried TC off and even with gentle throttle application it would catch me out and would end up slower.
