I agree with vr replay for sureRegarding the update two things:
1. Letters for sure are a little crisper
2. Vr replay has less ghosting
Can be placebo, but I am pretty sure

Maybe not but I didn't think X Plane had a big mod community (I don't know I'm not part of it) - especially as they have quite a few DLCs for itWithout mod support, I suspect it wouldn't make a big dent at all.
AC7 on PSVR was great, even if it was a tiny (GTS VR-like) part of it.

I've had I think four sessions, alongside other games. First one I was so nauseous I left before even a lap completed. Since then I could do a few laps before feeling it. Last night after the update I went a full hour, but my stomach was still unsettled afterwards. Maybe the IQ and reduced blur helped some. How many times have you played and on what durations?
AC7 is the only game that's ever made me want to throw up lol. It was great but I definitely couldn't handle the turns in that game.AC7 on PSVR was great, even if it was a tiny (GTS VR-like) part of it.
All the people on the other forum I’m on use them no problemAnyone using an extension cable for the headset? Does it work smooth or not recommended?
I don’t have a PSVR2 so can’t really comment… but from my work life I would suggest you don’t just buy the cheapest USB-C cable you can find.Anyone using an extension cable for the headset? Does it work smooth or not recommended?
A 25 ft USB Type C extension works smoothly with the headset. I no longer have to drag my rig in front of the living room TV to play.Anyone using an extension cable for the headset? Does it work smooth or not recommended?
Do you know how long their extension is? I saw some videos where a guy reported issues with 2m/3m/5m extension. Only 1m worked fine for that guyAll the people on the other forum I’m on use them no problem
I wish it were that easy! Unfortunately you would still be pushing 4k content to those 8k screens so you wouldnt see an improvement until the PS can push out 8k content.. And thats not going to happen at any decent frame rate until the next generationI was thinking…(it’s better when I don’t..):
Psvr2 has two Oled screens, averagely cheap (around 50 bucks each for what I heard).
Maybe will be created some start ups to tweak and tune things up. You give them your headset, they will change the Oled screens with two 8k or 4k with improvements. What do you think, it’s doable ?
Pity but what if they could install some less cheaper 4k panels with a better refresh?I wish it were that easy! To continue with your thinking though, i do think there could be improvements made with the lenses, but after market is going to be tough because the lenses that comes with the headset currently are made and optimised specifically for those OLED's..
You don't have problems with it fitting properly over the PSVR2 headset? I have a HyperX that I was using with GT7 prior and can comfortably wear with my Quest2.I use the Beyer Dynamic DT770Pro.
Love the combination with psvr2!

Considering this one, 3m long:
I don't see a difference.. I really do think there is a lot of 'confirmation bias' going on - Lots of people talking about it and wanting to see a difference so badly that their brains confirm it.I updated my headset and played GT7 for a while. I was on Trial Mountain driving an Audi TT 16', the same combination used in last week's sport mode daily race B, with which I drove about 30 times in VR. The conclusion is that I don't think I'm convinced it looks clearer now. But so many people say theirs look clearer, it must be a real thing.
It could be because I have been on PS5 beta firmware ever since before I received my PS VR2, so the OS also updated my headset with the beta version of this new headset firmware, therefore it just looks the same.
It's entirely possible that the update only affected a certain batch of headsets that were perhaps bugged. I am a VR veteran (years of racing in VR) and, believe me, the difference is night and day.I don't see a difference.. If Sony increased the clarity of the headset then you just know they would be shouting this from the rooftops given the initial backlash they took regarding the 'blur'.
Yeah quite possible.. Don't get me wrong, i wish i saw a difference! It's entirely possible that the update only affected a certain batch of headsets that were perhaps bugged. I am a VR veteran (years of racing in VR) and, believe me, the difference is night and day.
I haven’t had time to play yet but I plugged in the cable and got the update message. Hit OK and the HMD vibrated and no other message or download bar appeared. Is that what it did for everyone else? An instantaneous update? Never seen such a thing. Even this latest standard controller update took several seconds for each controller.
There’s also apparently no way to check for an update manually via selecting the VR2 from the accessories menu. That menu tells you if your controllers are updated, but not your VR2? Seems quite strange to me. I have no way (that I see, anyway) of knowing if my headset is now up to date or not.

No reason to not believe you. But here I didn’t notice anything substantial. The ghosting when you look at your sides is still there and it’s perhaps the only thing that kinda bothers me.This
I've said it twice and I'll say it again:
It is SIGNIFICANTLY better
It's fine that you don't see a difference. Yours was probably OK to begin with. When a dev fixes a game crash for a select few users, just because it didn't affect you doesn't mean the fix doesn't exist. No reason to not believe you. But here I didn’t notice anything substantial. And the leaderboard. I don't know why they didn't keep all the info but have it off to the side so it's not intrusive but easily accessible. But now that VR is a reality for GT7, PD really needs to properly implement the dashboards on racing cars. Not being able to turn of the game HUD and still check remaining fuel, TCS and whatnots is a real bummer.
I usually race with Gr.3 cars and it’s beyond annoying to not have the dashboard reflect the current state of the car. At least TCS, Fuel Mapping and remaining fuel should be there in all racing cars. That would be enough for me to switch the game HUD off for good, but currently that is impossible. It's fine that you don't see a difference. Yours was probably OK to begin with. You're getting there, dealt with same progression and now im fine. Re8 still gets me a lil but gt7 im dialed in and fine. Had a buddy come over and try it and while he was amazed he was crushed after a lap and had to stop.I've had I think four sessions, alongside other games. Ghosting is a side effect of reprojection, manifested in the form of a double-image as things move quickly past you. Since the "fake" frames injected into your vision by the reprojection algorithm can't keep up with fast-moving assets on the screen, these moving objects have the appearance of leaving "copies" of themselves behind as they move. Compared to the rest of what you're seeing, it kind of looks like a ghost is moving. What is ghosting? Maybe I do have it but am oblivious to it
