Yeah....I'm not having a whole lot of fun playing this game. And it's compounded by the fact that I'm so low level that pretty much anything is blocked off to me, because I have so little cash to get started.

If your time zone is similar to mine you're more than welcome to add me and we can run a fleeca or something and I'll give you the max I can.

GMT-5, so make of that what you will. The help is greatly appreciated however, and I'll send a friend request out to you later today.

You're currently about 6 hours behind me it would seem. So at the start of your evening or if you get on in an afternoon is about my time.

Script Hook V isn't out yet, but I managed to use a single player version of an online mod menu (now defunct) to check out some of the land vehicles.

I'm Batman.

Requiring both an MOC with the special vehicles bay, and 3.5 million, the Vigilante is evidently a Batmobile. No I haven't tried how tough it is, but it has a few unique little quirks.

Firstly: the booster (L3) is not a single use with cooldown. It's a hold style booster, kind of like the two types of nitro in NFS Most Wanted 2012. It's a lot more controllable than the Rocket Voltic, and you can do the same things that car can, like blasting pedestrians away as usual.

In performance, the car has superb acceleration, but at the cost of carrying a bit of understeer. Nothing the rocket booster can't fix. But the thing is made for ramming, and it does so not as well as the Insurgent, but you can wedge taller cars around.

The car is armored, but I need my usual tools to test this. Customization wise, you can put missiles (new research probably), and paint it. You can also glitch it some aftermarket rims to horribly eye-bleaching effect. I won't be surprised to find pink ones by the time this comes out.

For 885k, you can get yourself yet another identity crisis.

Meant to be the Aston Vantage of the 80s, the car seems to scream 60s Mustang Fastback. I mean, you can make it look like Eleanor. ELEANOR!!

Really nothing much to write home about if I say so myself. Customization wise is okay. It has a LOT of options for the hood (since they also change the exhaust) but the spoilers are terrible! It's got things the Retinue also has, like rally light covers, racing parts and etc. Liveries range from stripes, to American stock car racing, to classic BTCC.

Performance is okay, acceptable top speed of about 119-ish, fine acceleration. The handling however isn't as good as the competitive classic cars we have in recent days. It's aggressive, like how a classic muscle car would handle, but much more manageable than some high powered Muscle cars. Seriously, this should be the Dominator Classic.

I AM.. THE RED CYCLONE!
~ Zangief, Street Fighter IV

The Cyclone would be the Voltic that cared about how well it goes. Pricing at 1.89 million, the Cyclone will cater to those who have somewhat an obsession to the Concept_One.

Top speed is bad. 115 MPH bad. And I'm not sure if you can put a turbo in this car, but if the Rocket Voltic is any sign, then I'll assume you can.

The acceleration, however, is the best. It goes to a normal cruising speed very quickly.

What's most important is how it turns. Well, unfortunately, I've driven the Visione along this, and the Visione just dominates it in the corners. Which is kind of a shame really. I'm looking forward to own this baby myself. That, and some others like the Rapid GT Classic as a Mustang Fastback.

I don't have my usual tools to try the aircraft in full effect, but I do have some small things to say.

- The Hunter is super expensive for a reason. A missile barrage. Explosive co-pilot gun. Ability to do surgical strikes since it can use bombs. I'm very impressed.

- The Bombushka really only benefits people who play with more than 2 others. But it will satisfy those who want a flying fortress.

- The Pyro is pretty unwieldy due to the large surface area. It can fight jets, but the Rogue is better for that.

- Don't get the Nokota. It's a much worse Rogue.

- I need more time with the Howard NX-25 and the Mogul.

- The real winner of these hidden aircraft would be the Seabreeze. Cheap, able to do bombing runs, has okay machine gune, very very very agile, and able to float. When I get a hangar sometime in the future, I'm very looking forward to fly this thing.

@SomePlayaDude What drivetrain does the Cyclone have? In a brief teaser video by FoxySnaps, he did a burnout and only the front wheels spun. Perhaps he switched models with a FWD car, but I was just curious.

AWD with a front bias.

Edit: Supposedly, it's a 50:50 split.

Apparently, torque bias has nothing to do with what wheels spin during a burnout. The Crusader has a 60:40 bias towards the front wheels, but the rear wheels will spin when doing a burnout.

This game is weird.

But you've accepted that all munitions are stored within what one can only assume are hollow legs.

:P

Not sure if mentioned, but I had a Daily Objective: Contact Mission. Easy enough, load up Cleaning the Cat House. Call Pegasus....wait, Pegasus is not on the Contact List?? Request Personal Aircraft...

Made a rally stage in Creator and early tests are somewhat successful. It's a point-to-point that starts at Sandy Shores airfield and ends in the wind farm, while running through the dam section. About 6 minutes and 15 seconds, depends on how bad you drive. Ok for only my second created race I guess.

Problem was the test mule I used (Escort) is very weird in stock form. It has a tendency on certain right-handed turns to either spin out or tip over, kinda like the Infernus Classic had that bug before they patched it. It also didn't like that small water section in the dam area, stalled out twice so had to put a small plate in to make sure it didn't happen again.

Have to test with custom vehicles (at least the ones I own) and will update later once I check everything out.

That being said... if anyone's up for some rally races (or maybe the docks race I made originally as my first one) just hit me up when I'm on.

Had another run with the Vigilante, and surprise surprise, it has paper windows and can't take one explosive.

*insert sad trombone here*

Tomorrow's-the-first-Tuesday-after-an-update-release discussion: based on the leaked release order, your choices are:
  • Howard
  • Bombushka
  • Rapid GT Classic
  • The finger
Which one do you hope it is and which one do you think it is?

Personally, however unlikely it is, I'm hoping it's the Rapid GT. It's a original-V8-Vantage/Jensen Interceptor hybrid. Five quid on me not getting one as soon as it's available will could make you a billionaire. Except that's a waste of five quid.

Realistically, though, probably the Bombushka. Or the finger. Not that there's any real difference.

Eh?

You talk in riddles  but I hope its the Rapid GT too. I'm looking forward to getting it more than the Vigilante...

Rooms have turned into straight cancer since this last update. I mean, it was bad before, but with all the new planes, and no counter measures for the lone player, everyone seems to be hitting anyone trying to run goods and steal supplies. its almost to the point that the frustration ratio is starting to top the fun.

Well, there *are* ways of getting around the "other people" problems, regardless of system. Not using and abusing those techniques is on you.
please elaborate. I am trying to work, as a CEO or MC pres you cant go into passive. and I am trying to work, so private lobbies are also not an option. The only real option I have is to stop my run and fight. Against a plane, homing missiles are pretty useless double so because the new planes have flares. I guess I could sit there shooting with my M249.... cause, you know.... I wont get killed 50 times before finally shooting them down...

Yep, mess about with your MTU settings. Joining the session may take an extra attempt or two, but once you've accepted that, going back to public sessions isn't a thing anymore.

There is the slight matter of the blue Sultans in I/E selling missions, but there are ways around those too. Most notably Cargobobs or getting a friendly player into your session.

Or piggy-back off of someone else doing the hard work of getting a session. You know who you are :P

PC players have it different if you want to make a private public (no pun intended for a similarly named character from Sheep In The Big City) session. The best way is to block ports with firewall. Here's the copy paste with some SPD touches.
  1. Open the start menu and type Network>Firewall
  2. Select Windows Firewall with Advanced system
  3. On the left hand side, you should see inbound and outbound connections. Go into Outbound connections.
  4. Create a new rule on the left hand side.
  5. Select Port and click next.
  6. Select UDP and put in these ports 6672, 61455, 61457, 61456, 61458, and then select next.
  7. Select Block connection and click next twice.
  8. Turn on the rule when you want to play.
  9. Join a pub. There should be either nobody, or a small room.
  10. If not empty, find new session or suspend the GTAV application for 5-10 seconds
Still works fine

Does the MTU trick not work for PC? I'll wait till my patience breaks before I bother going through all of that TBH

Land Tula, exit Tula, walk right into props....every. single. Time!
Yeah, I have a habit of running through my tail prop on my heli. Laugh at myself every time.
