This post is the exact reason I will be hosting "private" rooms. Had too many people ruining my fun last night. No more joining open rooms for me. Its hard enough to get people setup for a co-op mode like this and to have someone ruin it, its quite frustrating.

Happened to me when cloud was down. Just dont create a new character. When cloud is back up. You'll have your character back.

Damn and I made just new character. ..oh well I was only 8 or 9 level...
Any ideas does it come back ?

I think I was in a race with you earlier , I got left waaay behind, I hate using Super Cars on unknown tracks.

I also did the airport rally style race, that was awesome. You had one driver and one guy on the mic OR guiding you using the directional pad. The guy driving can't see the arrows on his map, it's up the the navigator to get him through, very cool.

I highly suggest selecting one of these 3 sessions to get in as fast a possible.
1. "Invite only Session"
2. "Closed friend session"
or
3. "Solo Session"

My thing is, today I could make (and save) a new character but my previous one wouldn't appear. That means I could access the servers but my character wasn't there? Why is this?

Thats a yes. As soon as most of GTP crew finishes there Tutorial ill be Hosting Races, as Missions, Death-matches for RP + Cash . After as soon as im rich enough ill be planning huge house party. At my place .

Sounds like a good idea. That way jobs can be done with a bit more strategy.

So far even with the patchy online I've met loads of people in the GTP crew online today. It's been great haha, missions, races, free roam, t'was funfun. Can only get better, I suppose! 👍
It's down to Rockstar now.

Ok, so after collecting the rest of the spaceship parts I decided to try online once more. What a waste of time and effort again... Did the entire intro again only to freeze up when launching the game at Cypress flats. I sure hope the patch tomorrow will help.

So hate to be the barer of potentially bad news.

I've yet to get a property but my friend and I were speaking and he said he bought a tiny 2 car garage for 25k. Then had saved 80k for a small house with a 2 car garage. He said it told him he could only own one property at once, or something like that. It asked him if he wanted to continue with the purchase and would trade-in the garage to save money on the new property..

This has soiled my plan to get a 10 car garage first then a house.. .

I'm also really hoping this is a bug if so, I mean why have seperate garages to buy if you can't keep your apartment..

I hope this is wrong.
I feel like it is because a house is a Safehouse, and a Garage is... well, a Garage.
From what I've heard, you can own an unlimited amount of Garages and only one Safehouse at a time. Which makes good sense, cause why would you bother buying anything but the cheapest Garage if the others are 2 car and more expensive, right?
Plus it gives players more cars to save (which means Rockstar could potentially make more money from people purchasing money, but that's another thing).

Try hosting a session and not joining, that worked for me. When i tried to join it just kept trying to launch mission and nothing happened.
