Glad this was brought up. I stopped coming after the BJ meet, where it started with waiting 30 minutes for a few members to stop dicking around, then turned into members yelling at other members, grenades being thrown without care, and all out idiocracy. I've been lurking around here hoping things would return to normal but after reading all of this I don't think anything has changed.

I don't think things were THAT bad today. Honestly, it was some clean off-roading except some joke-fighting on callmedan's car while waiting for other people - no harm at all.

Someone died in that? surely it wasn't intentional. Someone was pushed during off-roading? This I don't know, nobody around me drove dangerously. I haven't seen grenades, explosions and so on (except, as I mentioned, the cargobob on waterfall moment). It wasn't a MAD meeting. All the three trails were completed orderly, at least at the head of the group.

And the cargobob.. maybe not necessary but actually helped people when some vehicles couldn't get to Chilliad. I haven't seen so much cargobob madness. There was a chopper in the SK meet also, can't remember who took it, but that was a maverick and surely no use.

Callmedan announced the cargobob thing on the forum days before, anybody could write "no please don't" but nobody did.

So.. I think it's a good idea to evitate mayhem, but no reason to ban people, not without warnings and second chances.

Ok, I'm chiming in on this. We are attempting to run an organized and relaxed trail riding club inside of an online video game that is completely based on tom-foolery and chaos. There will be some incidences no matter what any rules say. That said, we should be able to limit the outbreaks and at least keep people from fighting with each other and ending the meet hating one another. I saw no reason to ban anyone or for anyone to leave today. Someone got a little carried away in the moment, another let their temper get away a bit, it happens. Many of us don't know each other very well, so it's necessary to show respect and use extra care to not give the wrong impression with our actions.

Some rules that I believe will help avoid these instances:

1. No aircraft allowed during scheduled meets. If we want a specific photo op that's fine, but there's no other reason for it that I can see. The noise they make is annoying and they get in the way. If you feel the need to get to the meet quicker, grab an Adder or something.

2. No weapons allowed during the scheduled meets. It is way to easy to accidentally kill a player the way our characters lock onto targets. If you feel the need to smash a car with a golf club, there are plenty of open lobbies for that, it's unnecessary on a trail ride.

Aside from that, I don't see any need for further changes at this moment.

I will mention that Street King ran me over...but it was an accident. He was powering up Chiliad in his Kalihari and I just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I forgive him. :)

Like Mudd said, there will be some accidents even with rules, mine was one of them.

To add onto what you said:
3. No intentional pushing in attempt to destroy another person's car. There will be times where you'll accidentally bump into one another, but blatantly pushing and shoving another player in attempt to wreck their vehicle is unacceptable, and will result in a warning.
4. Do not attract attention from the police! Purposefully blowing up a train of cars or attacking innocent civilians will attract attention from the feds, and because of this game's rather poor police system, innocent players might get a random wanted level and be forced to run away from the cops.
5. No silly upgrades! A car with '$' wheels is NOT an offroader!

I kind of want to do this more than once a week now. I'm in the mood to do it now.
We often have unscheduled meets throughout the week. Anytime you feel the urge, just post in here and usually a couple people are up for it. You can also just open a "crew only" room anytime and usually a few members will just find their way in. 👍

I know one rule that will be enforced next weekend...passive mode will be required. If you have a bounty on your head (as was the case for me, Jeep, and soloaded today), one of us will take care of it. If you don't have a bounty on your head and you don't have passive mode on, you will not go with us.

Sorry it has come to this guys.

BTW.. I was going to write a proposal/suggestion about expanding the forum space for this crew anyway, it was on my mind during the past days.. there's too much that is discussed here and mixing, like "tires of my jeep in real life", "the next meeting", "your surfer is cool", "let's bring back the clean rebel".. if you miss a few hours you need to read 3 pages.

If you want to stick to the GTPlanet GTA section, a solution could be to have multiple threads, tagged like this: [LS4x4crew] topic title

Didn't even know Google had a service called google sites. Yes, they can have forums, but created with spreadsheets (WTF??). I'm sure there can be a better solution..

Just open a weebly site or something for it. Pretty simple and free actually.

Anyone up for a Off roading session? Prefer to have a small group of maybe 5 cars, highly doubt there will be any interest :(

To be fair, it is quite late right now. Some people have to go to school/jobs tomorrow.

Is there anyone on here that does offroading on Xbox 360?

I only have GTA V (and thus, GTA Online) on my 360.

I was actually online earlier offroading with a buddy of mine. I know there's one more person on here on 360 that goes offroading. Let's try to set something up in advance so that we can all go offroading together. My XBL gametag is Zeke34

Alright I'll add you, I'm Australian but on a fair bit. Just so you know, my GT is Furious Sausage.

Sorry if any of my actions in the meet were unwelcome or inappropriate. I noticed that after the first few meets they became a bit stagnant and noticebly many people stopped attending them. Never thought a bit of friendly fooling around between trails would hurt anyone rather than put in a bit of colors into the meet.

Don't know how welcome these words will be coming out from my lips, but I think one of the mistakes for the most of the past meets was the speeding front cars, stopping after a mile or so to wait for others. We should stick together at all times and those in front should let everyone catch up after every obstacle.

Anyway, if people want me to go, may it be.

*** Original post deleted because Mudd says there isnt anything broken and doesnt want to hear negativity.

All these negative posts are bothering me more then any of the minor misshaps that have occurred. Is everyone just standing around waiting to post something negative? Knock it off, people. If you don't want to attend, then don't, it's your loss. We don't need to hear about here. I've had an absolute blast at every single club meet and I plan on continuing to have fun with this. Nothing is broken here, we had a small issue and we fixed it. Let's hear suggestions for the next meet. :gtpflag:

For example: http://www.yuku.com/

Yuku is probably a good free option however you will end up with ads everywhere unless a donation system was used to remove them. But its definitely a start.
