I mean on some stuff they aren't too awful but I think most of us correlate them to being on big land yacht Caddys driven by older folk for years and years which gives off the uncool impression.

And... If you think wire wheels look bad on cars, that would be ignorant?

Depends why you think they look bad.

The reasons @JMoney689 cited were incorrect and ignorant. Therefore his opinion is an ignorant opinion.

Just like if I thought the Miura was the ugliest car in the world?

Depends why you think that. If you were to criticize the Muira's design for being a ripoff of a Ford GT40 you would have an ignorant opinion.

This is what JMoney did/does/is doing. He has an inaccurate impression of simple facts and formed an opinion around his ignorance. This opinion is ignorant.

The logical next step is to sit down and learn but... you know...

True enough. 👍

That still doesn't change the fact that wire wheels are god awful.

Lol, fact

Can you put that post in a spoiler @Cano, it makes this page hard to read on mobile, because of all the scrolling necessary.

Nawww because nobody ever clicks those  'sides, you're not just scrolling, you're looking at pictures of awesome old cars with wire wheels 👍

You mean those ugly, plain-jane designed cars of the 80's.

Great era to from an opinion on wheels that have been around 50 years before that....

That doesn't make them any less appealing. They remind me of bicycles

I'm sure (yes, sure) most people relate them to Ferraris, Astons, Jaaags, Lambos and other sports cars of the 50s. I personally think of these:

That from the classic era. From an era specially you shouldn't be oblivious to, they remind me of these:

And also of Van Nuys, circa 1969:

Wire wheels on rods are something I make an exception to simply because rod.

You probably don't like wire wheels because most muscle cars didn't have them, they're too classy, elegant and sophisticated to be on cars like that.

Wire wheels officially became 'naff' on December 31st 1965. Any car produced after that time (excluding anything still in production) definitely looks better with 'alloys'

This is fact.

I think the Monteverdi is ugly. That is my opinion. It's not inaccurate or incorrect because it's merely an opinion, and the same goes for your opinion as well. We aren't trying to prove anything factual here.

How about instead of whining that I'm ignorant you tell us exactly why I am incorrect. You guys just love to throw claims out there without backing them up with reasoning, don't you? I guess you don't see a point in reasoning because you're still getting likes on your posts anyway.

Talk about the car, not me. This is getting old.

There's nothing wrong with your opinion, it's the way you voice your opinion that's the problem.

I'm yet to see any evidence that proves me wrong ;)

Come on dude, not even a Daytona on Borranis? I like the star-style wheels those came with, but the Borranis wake the car up stylistically like nothing else!

Altough I mostly agree that by 1970 wire wheels were pushing their welcome, there are cars from that era that I think still pull the look off well. The Monteverdi is also one of them.

A fairly difficult proposition, since every time someone does exactly that you attempt to change your argument and act like the change was what you were always arguing.

You see, that is an example of a strawman. Take notes before you throw the word out again.

I'm aware of that, I'm just trying to make sense of your position. You still aren't telling why my reasons for disliking the Monteverdi are incorrect.
