*cough* fanboy *cough*

Yeh i am a huge fan of him but u have to say he is the most talented driver...
i just hope seb dosnt see this as seb me and some others had a 20 page debate on CM forums LOL

u have to say he is the most talented driver...

No he isn't. There I didnt say it.

Now I'm not going to get into an argument because I think that McRae and Loeb are easily the best. I will get into an argument later because right now I have things to deal with

Closely followed by Hamilton... then Senna wasn't that great, was he? Lol :D
--

Surely, M Schumacher is far ahead of both of them. Personally, other guys that aren't F1 drivers are better than a lot of the F1 drivers, they just chose another area to specialize themselves in (Loeb in rally, Bernd Schneider DTM, Kristensen Le Mans). They are also ahead of (imo) some of the top drives in F1.

Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel are the two best F1 drivers, Hamilton maybe in 3rd if he was a bit more serious.
--

EDIT: golfer... McRae won 1 championsip, Loeb has 7 (consecutive).

Senna was great and died doing what he loved and it was not his fault...
Shumi had a whole team behind him including all of his number 2 driver team mates who moved out his way..
Senna had prost who was clearly more loved by mclaren
Shumi always had the best car when he won titles and the ferrari didnt break down in something like 5 yrs...
As for other drivers in other sports they have it relatively easy... other than rally andLMP
F1 drivers pull 5g for 1 hr 30 mins. their heartrate is close to 150 bpm.
Rally drivers have to stay out of ditches whilst gouing quik
LMP drivers do 3.5 g for 3hr stints with similar heart rates to F1
DTM is much easier physically and mentally.

rANt over :D

Pffff second best ever? Hamilton is the 5th or 6th best in F1 at the moment for me. Vettel, Alonso, Kubica, Button and you could argueabley even say Rosberg are all better in my eyes. It's just all the British think he's the best thing since sliced bread so they all over exaggerate his talent.
--

Bombe: F1 is the pinnacle of motorsport though. A lot of the Le Mans drivers are F1 rejects such as Anthony Davidson, Giancarlo Fisichella and Sebastien Bourdais. Actually I don't think Bourdais was that bad, it's just he was unlucky enough to have Vettel as his teammate in his season in F1, which kinda put him in the shade as he was beaten all season pretty much :)

When you win a F1 championship you are always in the best car, so saying Schumacher was just "lucky" to win 7 championships is (sorry) ******** ;)

F1 is about money too :P Why do you think we've only had 2 Danish race drivers in the F1? They can't get enough money from sponsors because it's a small country. The Indian drivers, Piquet, Bruno Senna didn't / don't belong there..
--

Try and put an F1 driver in a rally car and he will.. flop? Look at Kimi Raikkonen :P

Sebastien Loeb have tested for Red Bull (Torro Rosso) and was supposed to have taken Bourdais seat when he was rejected from the team, but he couldn't get the license. Red Bull thought he was good enough.

If he couldn't get his super license he obviously wasn't good enough. Doesn't matter what Red Bull thought ;)

Yes he was. I think the reason was that he hadn't had enough racing experience in the lower formula classes.

His English is horrible though.

shumacher has faltered against every WDC rival hes had in similar cars i.e alonso

You can't really say he faltered against Alonso. He would've won in 2006 if he didn't have an engine failure in Japan when leading and then got that puncture in Brazil.

True True but then raikkonen didnt deserve a WDC after LH went off in china and got puncture in brazil

They were Lewis's own fault though. He went in to the gravel at China, not the car. And he didn't get a puncture in Brazil. The cars gears screwed up temporarily dropping him to the back of the field. Get your facts right. And you call yourself a Hamilton fan ;)

Both of Schumacher's cases were just pure bad luck which he didn't determine in any way.

Are you guys serious about all this other crap in this thread? Call each other on the phone. Write a letter. Send a carrier pigeon.

I couldnt remember but the gears screwed lewis and he lost by 1 point so their :P

But Lewis screwed himself in China which cost him the title. Plus you mispelt "there" ;)

Anyway AllinWit is right. We must continue this discussion in the bombe32 fan club :D

I recorded the Weeknight Quali race for Le Sarthe 2005 this morning. It was an intense race!

Best race ever, sorry T about cutting into you at the end of Mulsanne on lap 1! I just hammered you, I wish more races were this good.

Drum... I thought you told me twice you wouldn't...
And you haven't made it clear if you want to race on Saturdays. But if you are I'll put your name down.

Yeh sorry. I will for good now since I can just drive something different in the weekdays. So put me down for Saturdays in the Pescarolo Courage :D

Np, I kind of dive bombed anyways, didn't effect the outcome so all good.

Nobody in this thread said Senna wasn't great.
Schumi had Ferrari being biased towards him yes, but did they choose to bias towards him, not his team mate becasue they picked it out of a hat?
Senna had Prost, who was clearly more loved by the FiA but McLarne prefereed Senna
Schumi did always have the best car, thats how it usually is for the world champion
F1 drivers pull 5g at one or two circuits (turkey after big straifght) for a second or two max. Mostly they are similar G to an LMP but faster acceleration and more downforce.
Rally drivers have to drive the car flat out on loose and slippery surfaces for 20mins a stage for 26 stages a rally, and each stage they will usually have never driven before. They rely solely on co-drover. Then there is the fact they have jumps and blind corners and 1 car width bits of track and snow and rain and cliffs and trees and no run off etc.... its the worlds hardest motorsport. Ask any expert.
LMP cars are equally draining to drive (nearly( as an F1 ca rbut they drive for 3 hours on the go lapping slower traffic while mainting high pace. Oh and some people (Audi R18 2011) have to conserve the tyre for 4 hours, not changing at all.
DTM is unbelievably hard. The cars are slower leaving it more to driver skill. The technology is bonkers and everyone drives either the Merc or the Audi.

Oh and you should se F1 back in the 50s before you decide modern F1 is hard.

Rant over

As it is at the moment we have three guys without a team mate

Jakegirard (Bentley Speed 8)
Adam, amf (Audi R8)
Sylar (908 Matmut)

Perhaps it was an idea if we could get two of them to drive the same car (preferably not in the R8) to have more teams.

Peter, Seth, EFJ, Rocko are still question marks - whether they are racing or not on Saturdays. If they are we would be 17 (1 reserve) and a possibility of 8 teams.

EDIT: Team names? I'm guessing Wankel is still the name of tissimo and Razor?

Sorry guys, i've been busy, but I should be in full time this season, I hope. GT-One is all mine :P

I know freshseth is using the Bentley a well, not sure if he's doing weekend though.

Yup still Team Wankel.

anyone wanna race a little bit tonight?

edit: amf i'll give you my 908 setup if you run that car. I guarantee you it will be as faster or faster, and as stable or more stable, than the 05 oreca audi.

edit number 2: i take it back amf, i just tested the audi 05 at indy road and it's awesome
