I am about to start going through this list:
Mercedes SLS on Nurburgring GP/F (Sports Soft)

Cobra on Trial Mt/Laguna/Cote d'Azure (Racing Medium)

with Kenwilinski (PSN Crazy_Bassist) and record some average lap times for the two of us.

Cool. Well just so you know we're still doing the 4 lap time trial, not single hot laps. But what's good about doing what you're doing is that you can report on your fastest times and then we can add like five tenths on to it and multiply times four to get a theoritcal target time. Can you guys try that for us?

So, to lay out the process a bit more:

• You and Crazy_Fisherman hotlap until you guys can't beat the fastest time anymore.
• Then you take that time and add a half a second/.5/five tenths on to it.
  
• Multiply the new time by four. This will be the time trial target time.
  
• Now one of you start the other off on a mock license test where you try to meet the time.
  
• If it's too easy or too harder take a slider approach and try to find the sweet spot of time where it's challenging but not impossible.
  
• ?????

Also, I'd like you guys to also give the cars a go on these tires as alternatives, let me know how you like them:

Thus far with the SLS my best is a 2:11.836, averaging around a 2:12.1
Ken is running about a second slower than myself.

And now I have a couple more in the lobby and they are running with us.

What I've been doing is running in stretches of 5 laps, discounting the 1st.

You really need to read the new OP material. I just realized most of the things you're asking me are covered in it.

2.6. Higher race performance based license levels:

a. In addition to the three aforementioned license levels there are
three more "A Class" licenses.

b. To begin your way to an A Class license, you must first pass and
achieve a regular Advanced license. This makes your eligible for higher A class licenses that are granted when the driver meets pre-determined criteria, race wins, described in the following sections.

c. To achieve an Intermediate A Class license you must undisputedly
win one ORB sanctioned race where at least seven other drivers
finished the race with you with a minimum total race time of 20 minutes. This is to achieve an Intermediate A Class
license.

d. To achieve an Advanced A Class license you must undisputedly win
four ORB sanctioned races where at least seven other drivers finished
the race with you with a minimum total race time of 20 minutes.. This is to achieve an Intermediate A Class license.

e. A Super license is granted once you've been confirmed to be the
undisputed champion in a GTP ORB sanctioned racing series with a
racing schedule of more than five races spread over at least four
weeks.

f. All race wins, podiums, and pole positions are required to be
reported by your racing organizer to the Bureau to be recorded in a
master list of ORB driver statistics. These will be used in order to verify
each win needed to complete A class licenses.

This means, the grid size at the VERY most is eight people per class.
I have never EVER been in a race with a full grid.
Perhaps we should lower that seven other people to five or six?

Hm, well the times are going to be different with tire wear on, which is what we're going for in the actual tests. I wasn't worried about corner cutting, just wanted to check and see if you might've tested the oenalties at all. But that's not important right now since we're just getting started, just curious.

I'm gonna take those times and put them in a spreadsheet that I'll keep updated with all the times we're able to gather.

Imagine the nerves when you go for your first license with heavy damage :tup: gonna be awesome.

also, Suzuka will definitely stay as it's the perfect track to test every driver's skill set through out the run of a lap.

If you can't do well on it now, then that's what the I.D.E.A's for

If you insist... And I'm pretty sure I'm going to be an instructor in the IDEA lol. I can't be instructed! I really just don't get along with that track. But, I suppose it is a necessary evil, so time shall be spent there.

I am running my laps first, keeping a tab of them, then watching the rest run theirs and writing them down as they go along.

Alright, here are all of my results from tonight's test session. We decided Trial Mt and Monaco were not good for the Cobra, so Laguna wound up being the choice. We did a 5 lap practice race to warm up then set to running our lap times. 1st lap thrown out, then next four recorded. Track set up was, aids off, light damage, no penalty, tire wear on.
