I've got no chance this year, I've not started my shopping yet and need to visit about 8 shops to do so when I'd usually just do it all online. I also now work night shift and we have the radio on in the call center so work isn't even safe anymore. I have 2, that's right TWO work meals this year as apposed to my 0 of the years previous.

I also have a friend who I didn't even realize was so mad about xmas and is insisting on meeting up in a couple of weeks time, his car his music, those be the rules

So... let me set the scene.

It's a Sunday morning. I'm at a friend of a friend's house, no idea where it is. I've been up for about an hour and I'm severely hungover due to me drinking about ten different types of alcohol. Basically, I'm 🤬 beyond belief.

I'm with two girls who are just watching loads of stupid videos on Facebook and occasionally taking a photo of me lying down on a sofa with about six blankets because I'm a massive pansy. They've got a music video channel on because apparently they're still a thing, but it's okay because it's just generic top 40 music. I thought I'd be okay if they didn't get bored of it as long as it the dreaded Wham! isn't on an ad or anything.

They got bored of it.

They decided to change it to a TV station that's dedicated entirely to Christmas music. 🤬.

It's playing Christmas music "throughout the ages", which is okay I guess... but it's in the 80s already. Double 🤬.

And it's playing the end of Band Aid, which came out in the same year as that song. One thousand times 🤬.

I just had to accept it. It was coming. It was gonna happen anyway. That doesn't make it hurt any less, though.

So yeah, I got Whammed! yesterday. God dammit...

Make sure you turn the volume down to minimum after you have finished using it or unplug it all together. Anyone connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Chrome cast can use it, making it an easy way for evil siblings, family members or friends to ruin your day.

Also for anyone using a Chromecast Audio, make sure you have the option for Playback sounds enabled. It will alert you if anyone connects to it.

My Local Talk radio station had a bit where they were talking about the most downloaded Christmas songs. They listed a bunch of songs, but the only one they played a bit of was 🤬 Last Christmas right after the a co-host explained his hatred for the song.
