So... I'm thinking this is what Jordan may do:

Possibly post an article saying "GT SPORT RELEASED EARLY" or something...

Maybe rig the comments threads to wham people?

Possibly giving false alerts to people to wham them?

Rigging profile pages? Logins?

Pop-up ads to wham people?

Was at a IKEA store.

My wife looked at me in panic.

My heart stopped beating.

But George never started singing and it was only an instrumental cover.

:sly:

I went to Sainsbury's again, this time with headphones in all the time. I'm happily going along with my shopping when it gets to a quieter bit of the song. Imagine my horror when I can hear George Michael's voice doing an impromptu mashup with Don't You Worry Child...

@Daniel

I don't understand why they were playing Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, when surely it is the time of year to play Last Christmas. I will have to step up the noise cancellation techniques for future trips. Still in!

another close call today, was trying to tune my radio in to another station when I got a station playing Christmas music. luckily it was "I wish it could be Christmas everyday". At the moment I got wham playing on amazon music with my speakers off lol yes I'm sure karma will get me soon.

Crap! Well since I forgot to sign up I guess I have no choice but to play "santa's helper". Who's ready to get whammed? :mischievous:

I guess I posted too early a few weeks ago before I could partake, and now it appears I may be too late.

Am I?

edit:
RIP... Too late

2 days late, but i'm in.

You guys can still partake, but you won't be added to the list in the second post, just to be fair to members who have already been actively 'avoiding' the song since early November.

Well, two Christmas parties down and still not even a hint of Wham. This could be my easiest run through. Going for 3 years in a row has never been so easy. :P

Just wait until Christmas.

This, for 2 years thought it was easy-breezy, then maybe mid-December I ended up Whamming myself the first year (via alarm clock radio), and then work's radio the second.

It has a particular set of ways, it will find you, and it will get you. :mischievous:

That said, hope third time's the charm. :sly:

So last night was watching X Factor (yes, some people still watch it!) first part of the show was full on Christmas, now the four contestants didn't cover Last Christmas.......but i did hear it during a VT on the show and they played several Christmas song in between too. Was a bit annoyed at first but I'm over it now.

@Daniel

Also, the Now That's What I Call Christmas Ad is back but this time the song is pops up halfway through iy and not right at the start like previous years

When you start wanting to do christmas songs but realizing every playlist on Spotify has Wham in it. :grumpy:
Guess The Chill Lounge is good I guess.

Obviously I've missed the sign up period but I'd like to wish everyone the best of luck this year. Or if you've already been hit, best of luck not being any more worse than it already was.

On a sidenote, I was unofficially Whammed twice in one day. Once was in a secondhand shop looking at die cast and the other in my room while listening to Google Music radio when an ad got me between Iron Maiden songs.

The date: 12/04/2016

The time: 09:39 P.M. EST.

The location: A dark, deserted road.

It was a cold, rainy night. I was on my way home from a wonderful night with friends at Chili's. Thumbing through my presets on the radio, I hit my classic rock station button. It's a song I've heard a thousand times. Wanting something new, I change to the hard rock station. It's on commercial. Then, I go to the pop station.

Those synths. Unforgettable. Then, George Michael starting belting about his heartache.

I'd been whammed.

I don't listen to the radio, I don't watch TV, I do all my Christmas shopping online, and I'm on high GTP/Jordan audio alert.

My two biggest chances of being Whammed are overhearing it when around family members who do listen to the radio and watch TV (especially Christmas specials), or... or...

Getting Whammed if it plays on The Grand Tour. :scared:
