Feathering the throttle through the longer turns (between 20% and 100%) to control the understeer is a good way. Braking a little earlier and getting back on the throttle earlier is another way.

Joining a lounge and learning from others in real-time is probably the best way. 👍

To anyone who has not submitted a laptime yet. Please do so!
We are currently at 43 registered drivers and laptimes are the only way for us, admins and stewards, to split the lounges putting people of approximatly the same pace together.

Because you submitted a time using : instead of '
It throws off the system and now I have to manually go edit your time now. :P

No, I fixed it so it handles the replacement automatically.

PS> A bunch of guys used last weeks link to sign up for this event. Hopefully they all made it over here. I turned off "accepting registrations" in last weeks forms (practice log and registration) so that won't be possible moving forward.

Lounge open: 1472-6118-3658-4758-0271
I cant seem to enter this room. It comes up withe the message "Entry was refused due to network incompatibility withe the room owner [697]"???

manged to get into the second one. Thanks

My PS3 seems to dislike the new update and keeps crashing when I select ok to start it - there goes my practice for the evening!

Please state WRS when you enter a lounge or more than likely you will be kicked, thanks

If what BanditKarter said doesn't work, try setting the date on your PS3 to the 15th. That finally worked for me.

Thanks for the tips. I've deleted the game data so it's re-downloading everything again and then I'll try what you've said if it's still being awkward :banghead:

Good run tonight gentlemen, managed to improve my best time by almost 0.5 seconds. Sorry if there was a lot of lag in the races, I've never hosted a race with 16 people before :P

Good clean racing tonight..Managed to stay out of trouble for the most part.

Couple of people seem to try and overtake through first couple of tunnels on this track which seems to cause all sorts of problems.
Much better to wait for the straight unless the position is an absolute given.

Seems to me that the only real true overtaking spot at DFR is into T1.

Pick up the tow up the hill after the first two tunnels and it's reasonably easy to stay with similar paced drivers through the last two turns.

Then the place is nearly always yours into T1. Overtaking in the tight section between the first two tunnels runs the risk of ruining your race as well as the guy your trying to overtake.

My two pennies anyway

Not sure if some guys were just inpatient or it was lag or something, but it was a messy few races. Hopefully tomorrow wont be the same, because it wasn't very fun.

Ya, I must apologize to Zapp for crashing into him in the long uphill turn to tunnel 2. :ouch:

Quick question as this is my first time in the wrs do I have to add anyone in order to enter the race lounge tomorrow night ?

ANNOUNCEMENT:

This event will the last we offer with "open" registration. Starting with next week, only those drivers who meet one of the following criteria will be allowed to participate:
  1. Listed in the Official GT6 Registry, have an official division and handicap.
  2. Submitted the qualifier but awaiting processing, and have been assigned a provisions division (will receive via PM after your submission).
If you submitted a qualifier by the initial deadline (and were not rejected for any reason) then you are good to go and you'll be listed in the registry. If you haven't submitted then you best get cracking if you wish to participate next week. It usually takes about 24-48 hours to get a provisional placement after you submit so if you want to take part you should have your qualifier time submitted by early next Monday.

Eligibility extends to practice lounges, posting practice laps, registering for events and obviously joining the official lounges on race day.

If you have questions regarding the qualifier post them to the registry qualifier discussion thread.

NOTE: The events next week will be unofficial even though full eligibility requirements will be enforced. The first official race will follow the first official time trial and take place in two weeks.

This lounge is still going if anyone is interested.
Keep locking up when choosing the room. Good connection, not sure what is going on. After days of no issues, GT6 lobby is not being kind to me. 17M downloaad, 9 M up, stops at connecting to network after trying to enter room. Rebooted PS3, not sure what is happening, but I tried 3 times now.

edit, cleared the cache, which I do regularly and that fixed it. Must have been something bad in there from when I got booted.
