A shameless rip off of Hun200kmh's thread, but it seemed like a good idea, so I thought I'd start on for us middlers! ;)

I'll start the very long process of adding all of you as friends on PSN (seems to make sense) possibly this evening, if the O/H allows it! :D

There's 116 of us, and I've not raced against any of you before as far as I can tell - but I'm very much looking forward to it.

Generally speaking you can find me in the GT-R at Fuji. I much prefer Suzuka as a 'Driver's' track, but there's no doubt that there's far more overtaking spots at Toyota's track and I love the single make equality of racing on that event - it's all about driver skill and nothing else.

Division 3 is the place to be:sly:👍 I've already got a few of these racers on my PSN list but hope to add more as I race them. See on track MrKipling:)

Any chance of separating the drivers into 'PAL' and 'NTSC' lists fella?

Sorry guys, but we can't have a thread for each colour in every division. That'll be 15 threads all together. :crazy:

I'm not on GT5:P at the moment (busy playing Rock Band :P), if I ever am again soon, I'll be at Suzuka usually.
 
Yes us lesser mortals in silver or bronze are not worth bothering with, nothing to gain by having the likes of us around:)
 
To be honest, I'm very surprised I got middle-of-the-road on Suzuka. I always feel that I'm just awful on that track. I think I have a mental-block about it because I just loathe it so much. I hated every race I had to do on it in GT4 and still hate it today :-) I realize it is a Japanese-developed game and thus there is naturally going to be some pride about their own tracks, but I really wish we had a little more choice in the pro events, and that the online events weren't pretty much "all Suzuka all the time". For technical and tricky tracks I much prefer Infineon.

I'm assuming this is the place to discuss where we'll be driving? I'm going to run a few races on HSR 800 here in a few minutes if anyone is around to join.

How about we fix times and tracks/cars.
We could race at Szk for 2/3 days then switch to fuji etc with the same cars as each other . Rwd 1 day AWD the other etc.
This way it's all about driver skill and we will know how we fare with each other.

Anyone wants to add my PSN then you can.

My name is Adam, go by GTP_Tzayad on the track. Tzayad is hebrew for hunter, if anyone has been wondering.

Anyway, it's a pleasure to be here, some great names I see. Epic names.

I'm all for organizing some races, planning some logistical things.

I am from the USA, Pennsylvania to be specific.

So....we should all get some stuff done! Anyone around tonight for some?

Here's an idea, why not try to organise a 600PP S2 tyres event at Suzuka 750PP.

Apart from Timppaq's Suzuka 750 no GTLM event, this one ranked up there with the best racing I had ever competed in online with GTP members.

GTP_MrKipling43, adding us all to your XMB is impossible, it has a max number of friends added unfortunately. And another thing: you typed that we are 56 but it's not right, the GOLD are 56 users... but the total of users in Division 3 is 116... ¡¡we are a lot!! (56 GOLD, 31 SILVER and 29 BRONZE).

PAL / NTSC-USA / NTSC-JAPAN regions are not always necessary if we take in mind the international events. But anyway for the region events we could improve this thread with a color code. We could use one color for each region and then put every name on that list with it's proper color. Unfortunately I don't know if it'll be too much code lines to a single post, I don't know if into this forum they have 50.000 characters per post as limit or less...



Since the divisions have been released now, I'm going to continue the work on my Voice Chat. It should be finished before 21st September in order to leave it working for the new events before the registry period starts that day. We should split into cliques and hate on the other two subdivisions. Gold and Bonze suck cos they're just variations on yellow. Silver FTW! Do I hear a "Hell yeah!" :D

Hi all, another Division 3 Goldie here 👍 I've raced a good few of you before methinks on my non-GTP account but look forward to racing you all again! I'm not on much at the moment unfortunately but I'll keep my eyes open for any organised races.
 
You can find me currently on the :02 :17 :32 :47 Suzy event, but I'd love to setup a D3 event with a few of you.

I'm thinking of making a huge excel database listing people's game versions, locations, times they normally play, and maybe even some racing statistics. I think that, and a Ventrilo server would be prime.

Check my post from before about the poll if you haven't.

I was thinking about the same server for all and then different rooms for each division. Password for each one then could be an option too.
 
I have alot of experience with Ventrilo, that's what I'd prefer. I'll put in my vote. If you need any help with that, let me know.

I'm starting to get a little worried about how this is all going to be organized. I'd like to see races with everyone, but more likely there will just be the same dozen racers in every event. I'm hoping that the private rooms will streamline it, but we should make some concept of a 'schedule', see when people are available, so that we can make some pre-planned events.

I think the best idea would be to make one MASSIVE ventrilo server for all GTP, split it up by divisions, and make a few race channels and b.s. channels under each division, and have people just come in and click their way to where they want to be.
 
Yes that's a great idea.

With the divisions now we have a huge quantity of into to manage. People will be looking at the region to choice players to play, other will look at the division, other at gold/bronze/silver.... much info, much players, we need a solid interface.

GT5P could bring it us if PD release private rooms. With Ventrilo we could start at least the base yeah.
