I tried PSN , visitor message, PM...

Then you have done all you can. 👍 If no one can help you contact him and he doesn't reply by the end of today, you will have to inform your race steward of the situation, infact I might be tempted to do it now. Sorry I couldn't really help you.

GTP_andrewyhy vs GTP_JvM (Winner)

We agreed to enter the race at :32 last night and there were only 2 other drivers with us. After the 30 seconds count down, I started off in P1 and took the lead. JvM was really fast and stayed at my tail all the way, so I pushed as hard as I could. There were a few overtakings on the main straight in the first few laps, by using each other's slipstream and we caught the other drivers on lap 4. Unfortunately, there was a BMW 1 series Tii Concept parked in the middle of 100R :ouch: and we both needed to avoid him. I passed the BMW from the outside and JvM passed him from the inside. I got my car touched a bit of the grass and nearly got spun out but luckily I saved my car in time and JvM was kind enough to slow down in front and let me to catch him up again at the 300R. ( Thanks mate. :D:tup: )

Then I tried to stay on his tail and the race went on till the 5th lap at 100R... I was silly enough to avoid that BMW AGAIN! I could have passed him from the inside by passing through his ghosted car but I don't know why at that very moment I chose to pass him from the outside again and this time I spun out. This is the fatal mistake that ruined my race. :indiff: And from then on, JvM continued leading the race till the end and I just couldn't get my normal pace and therefore losing by 14+ seconds (not quite sure about the gap between us at the end :dopey:).

Congratulations to JvM and he deserved the win. You're really fast mate! 👍

Thanks mate. 👍
I was going to write about our race yesterday but then forgot it. :dopey: So you beat me to it. :) Thanks for doing the writeup. Was a real pleasure to meet/chat/race with you mate, you're a true gent. 👍 :)

Thanks everyone for the compliments

And also congrats to Mad, Dan, Warren and Phil 👍👍

Thank's to Will for the nice race and write up. 👍

Also thank's to Manuelos for the Vids, damn those idiots on the first laps. ;)

Congrats to Mad and Phil and JvM.

Sorry to say this guys, but I'll withdraw from the comp due personal reasons. Have fun racing, may the best man win. 👍

GTP_Davey07-O37 v GTP_Lagas

Winner..GTP_Lagas

Very good race. Really enjoyed it. Lagas got a good start and into the first corner first. Then we traded positions with draft each lap thereafter. Who'll finish first I wonder..No problems with traffic at all, apart from an idiot driving around the wrong way(but was a ghost anyway of course)...We both made a couple of small mistakes, but carried on no problem...Also he tapped me and waited...Thanks for that Lagas, very gentlemanly...I tapped him too and slowed slightly for him. A few laps to go then the timer counted down, but I was right behind him near the very last corner. He beat me fair and square by several 10th's....Well done Lagas. Well done deserved winner....:)👍👍

Racers - GTP_Mav3r1cK vs GTP_Twisted
Event - GTP_Race Event 03 - Round 1 - Week2
Car & Track - Ferrari 599 (650pp) @ Fuji

Winner - GTP_Mav3r1cK

We got connected first time and there were only a small selection of racers in the race. We pulled off at the start and lined up on the Grid. Im not sure if Twisted made a slight error in the placement of his car or not but he ended up starting from what could have been 3 or even 5th spot, I started from the first grid spot on the right which as far as I know is second. Whatever the case it was too late to adjust and the 30sec's went by and we were off.

The positions didn't change during the race, I made no major mistakes and ran laps in the 1'44's for the most part. Managed to clock up my PB at 1'43.7xx which was pleasing from my point of view (just need to replicate that in WRS Week 32...).

Thanks very much to Twisted for the race - was glad to see that we got connected first time and had no issues or interfearance from outside sources.

Good luck in your ramining races Llewellyn.

Cheers,

Mav

GTP_Eriba (dranddad) vs. GTP_Bigracer

Very late before the deadline ... either RL got in the way or the lovely Le Mans weekend :D

The outcome of our race was quite simple. We had our start. I was at grid #1. I screwed up in lap 1. Philip took the lead. He was at my horizon and stayed there

We had some more fun in the days before this race and this showed my opponent to be a true gentleman and an nice guy to race and chat with. One of the reasons I'm so proud to be part of this great community.

Good luck in the next rounds Philip

Congratulations to Phillip, improving in leaps and bounds mate, your WRS time this week is evidence of that. Well done to all who are accepting defeat and victory so graciously

All the best

Week 2
2. GTP_L_Hamilton (winner) v 4. GTP_Im_Sorry

Not much to say about this race. We lined up and he got a better launch. He was slowly pulling away on the first lap until the last corner before the straight. I started fishtailing while accelerating on the straight. After the straight I didn't see him anymore and he just kept pulling away. I lost it going onto the straight again on the 4th lap, only this time I didn't catch it and nosed into the wall. Other than those 2 incidents I was happy with my race. I was pretty consistent... its just that I was consistently 2 seconds per lap slower.

GTP_KARTRACER vs GTP_d3b34k5
After 2 DC's we finally got to race. d3b gave it his best but I was able to pull off the win.

GTP_L_Hamilton(winner) vs. GTP_Sedubius-

I was reading thru the week 3 thread and saw this line of text I don't quite understand:

Number of Races: 1 Race - Winner Takes All (Winner is credited in event standings, both racers progress to next week)

I have lost all races in week 2 and expect to loose my final race in week 3 as well. How can I then progress to next week?

Err, you already did? You're still here in week 3 aren't you?💡 But you won't be here week 4 (round 2) by the sound of that.:(

Thanks for the race Steven, you left me standing off the line you rounded turn 1 very sweet and was a good ½ second up, I was playing catch up straight away, came into turn 100r turns 4 and 5 (hate that bend) I could see you starting to drift wide, I slowed and managed to keep a tight line on the curb which put me in the lead by about 2 seconds. I took it steady through Dunlop turns 10/11 and the last few bends, trying hard not to make any mistakes, I could see you closing the gap between us, but onto the home straight and I was able to stretch my legs with you not having my draft.

Come the back section each time you where able to close down the gap, lucky for us well me, we only had 5 start on the grid, two of which dropped out leaving just three, although we where catching the guy in first place, we didn’t catch up with any back markers, if we had I think the outcome of the race could well have been a different story.

I always enjoy racing with you, I think its 2 to you and 1 to me now.

Thanks for racing, good luck in your next round with GTP_ZippyUK. 👍

I’ve not seen him on for about 9 days now, hope his all right.

Well I beat ASH32 in our race for week 3. I got the jump from 2nd place to turn 1 off the line, and lead from there pretty much. I drove at 80% the whole race doing relatively slow laps as I really didn't want to crash. Both ASH and I were off our game today. Lap 10 I figured I had a big enough gap to take a real crack at the lap and went off at turn 1:lol:, seat of your pants moment there , but still won by 10sec. A couple randoms nearly ruined the the race, and although they slowed us down a lot, they slowed us down by about the same amount.

Congratulations to Mav3r1ck on his win last night.

I was consistently a second or two behind the pace each lap and have no hesitation in hailing a better driver. Best of luck in the remainder of the competition. After a poor showing in the last two races I suspect my participation in this event will soon come to an end. Thoroughly enjoyable though, and hats off to the organisers for some great combos, and of course for putting in the hours of admin.

Best wishes to all 👍

Awesome stuff.👍 Thanks for recording it.👍:D

EDIT: Jeez, sorry for all the lag.:scared::crazy::ill:

Can anyone please help me contact GTP_ZippyUK?

Zujo,

If you have tried to contact him by PSN and GTP PM, and you still have not gotten a reply, please forward all of your communications to your Race Steward (The Grim Reaper) and they will deal with it accordingly. I don't think this thread is meant to be used for trying to contact other members or to arrange the races.

Nobody else in this thread can do anyhting more for you as I doubt anyone has his phone number or other personal information. You've done your best, now leave it to the mods

All the best

Winner takes all - It means that your head to head matchup is not a series of races, i.e., best of 3. But that there is one race, and the winner is credited with the point in the standings.

But since we are running in groups and keep standings for 3 weeks and 4 races, everyone advances to the next week.

Hope that clears it up.

Again:

I've received your PM and will deal with it as appropriate. You've taken the step of contacting me, that's all you can do at this point.

Whats going to happen if there is a tie within our groups? like if i win both of my next races there will be 3 of us with 3 wins

Ummmmm.........Don't count your chickens before they hatch? :sly:

Head to head record will be the initial tie breaker. If there was no head to head race, or if head to head was tied (As is possible in groups of 4), then we'll have a runoff race, which will take place on a new combo, after the update.

Or, if you'd prefer, I can leave your fate to the flip of a coin. ;)

Thanks for the great race Zujo, man your fast 👍, after I went off on lap 3 at Spoon you were gone and i thought the race was over there and then.

It would have been to if you had not spun at the hairpin on lap 4 :ouch:

But that made it fair again, and you soon closed down the gap right down to the last lap at the chicane, I think who ever got there first was the winner the race was that close.

Well done good luck to you in the rest of event 03.

Phillip.
