Well done Phillip, you're getting some fantastic rewards for your labours in the last couple of weeks

All the best
Maz

Well dranny if you won from Matej no wonder you beat me by about 6 miles :) well done, and no doubt you'll be in Division 3 in no time 👍

GTP_DukeOfPendle v 2. GTP_CarlpKY

We managed to connect 1st time, with a small grid.
With me on pole, I led into the first corner, with Carl on my tail. Thats how it stayed for the first 8 laps. My eyes were glued to the mirror, waiting and hoping for the mistake which would allow me to break the tow.
The mistake didn't come, and the pressure built, lap on lap.
Carl drafted past me on the back straight, on lap 8, I think. We then swapped the lead a couple of times, all with drafting maneuvers.
Last Lap - Carl leading and opening the slightest of gaps. I pushed hard to try to close, resulting in a slide at the hairpin. On the back straight I could only manage to catch up to Carl by 130R, so a win for me looked unlikely at that point.
Luckily for me, Carl slid wide after 130R and caught a penalty. This gave me the advantage into the chicane. With Carl sliding wide again after the chicane, I was able to take the win.
This race couldn't have been closer, with one mistake deciding the outcome.

Thanks for a great race Carl, and good luck with the reat of your races, 👍👍👍

Good luck to all who are winning there races! I need to win my next two races, to stay in this Event. But that doesn't look to promising, but will do my best! Good Luck Everybody!!:sly:👍

Thanks Steven and Maz, lets not take anything away from you Steven, you may have lost ground on T1 and T2 in our race, but man you where fast on T3 closing down the gap each lap, I tried hard not to let you catch my draft, if you had the race may have taken on a hole new scenario.

Don’t think my driving has changed much, just going through one of them good patches at the moment and cutting down on the dreaded mistakes.

👍

Good luck in your next race with ZippyUK, but I've not seen him on for 11 days now, hope he's all right.

GTP_Paulie vs GTP_andrewyhy

We managed to get a race all to ourselves, but had to switch positions on the starting grid. The race started following form to turn 1 with me in the lead from pole, unfortunately Andrew ran wide coming out of the esses on the run to Degner which put him just over 2sec behind me. This allowed me to drive at around 90% (to avoid crashes) for the rest of the race, and the gap remained even if not being increased very marginally, until lap 8, when Andrew ran wide at Degner (I think), but he recovered it and dropped to 4sec behind, then ran wide again at the hairpin and dropped to 6sec back. After that I drove at around 80% to cruise to the line, but a lapse of concentration on lap 10 made me run wide on the run to Degner and the gap was reduced to 4sec, where it remained until the end of the race.

Thanks for the race Andrew, you were putting up some good laptimes on the board, but your consistency let you lose this time, and my fear of pushing the car too hard and relative lack of practice kept me in check, you raced well.👍 Thanks again for racing so early in the week, now I can concentrate on my week 2 599 race Saturday.:)

GTP_TIZZLA Vs GTP_Manuelos

I hosted a grid with 2 randoms and 3 spectators
After jumping the start (thought it was 20 sec?!) i allowed manuelos to get on my tail leading up to the esses. He was running a different setup to me as he struggled through the turns but owned me on the straights.

We swapped positions for a few laps until we caught the 2 randoms, i managed to pass them relatively easy but manuelos got held up a bit. After he got passed he went off a few times and i was free to cruise to the finish.

Thanks for the race, one more win and my group will have a 3 way tie

Well done again Tizz, still fuming over my poor brake balance decision all this time myself.:grumpy:

On another related note, TLD-R Z06/Tuned brake balance has changed again, for the last time.

Ummmmm.........Don't count your chickens before they hatch? :sly:

Head to head record will be the initial tie breaker. If there was no head to head race, or if head to head was tied (As is possible in groups of 4), then we'll have a runoff race, which will take place on a new combo, after the update.

Or, if you'd prefer, I can leave your fate to the flip of a coin. ;)

So does this mean that if PASM and I both tie on race wins that he would progress since he beat me in week 1?

You actually pushed off the Evo (just after Degner), which caused me ramming him and hitting the barrier ;)

That's right, as long as you are tied in every way, then the head-to-head race (if there was one) is the decider 👍

All the best

Yes.

And it also means, don't count your chickens before they hatch. ;)

OK, I've reviewed this incident, using the video Manuelos kindly provided below.

We Expect all racers in the event to follow our OLR Racing Rules and Guidelines.

OLR Rules and Guidelines
05: Rules Governing Car Contact:

A:
Contacts and collisions must be avoided at all costs.

B:
Pushing other cars in turns or pushing them off the track is strictly prohibited.

C:
Leaning on other cars is strictly prohibited in any situation.

07: Contact Concessions:

A:
If there’s contact between drivers that results in the guilty driver making up places on the innocent driver, the guilty driver should immediately allow the innocent driver to pass freely to re-establish their position. This rule should be observed, even if it means the guilty driver has to allow drivers not involved in the incident to pass while waiting for the driver they contacted.

B:
If the appropriate contact concession is carried out by the guilty driver then they may avoid or reduce the severity of any penalties that might otherwise apply.

C:
If the appropriate contact concession is not carried out by the guilty party then the usual penalties would apply.

The registry rules are not intended for treatment toward other registry members only, and we clearly state in the race specifics on each week of the event that the rules are to be followed.

Manuelos has provided this video, proving the incident. Lap 4, Degner 2, 7:14 on the timer.

I'm DQing Tizzla in this race and awarding the win to Manuelos.

Thanks for the write up Paulie. 👍

I couldn't race on my normal pace on Lap 1 and fell behind by that 2 seconds. Without your draft, I needed to push so hard to maintain the gap between us. :D And I think our laptimes during the race were pretty much the same throughout the first 7 laps or so.. low 57s.. until I ran wide on Lap 8 at Degner 1 and overshot myself at the hairpin. :dopey: And you're right Paulie, consistency is the major problem for me when pushing too hard. :ouch:

Anyway, that's a nice race mate. I gave my best and enjoyed it much. And you deserved the win.

Good luck to your coming races too. 👍

EDK...Perhaps I am interpreting the rules incorrectly, but does this mean if I get video evidence of my rivals hitting into other cars without avoidance, I will get the win?

There's a difference between hitting into other cars without avoidance and what happened here. Tizzla punted another driver off the track and kept on driving as if nothing happened. That's against our OLR Rules and Guidelines. According to the rules for the event, our OLR Rules and Guidelines must be followed.

I had 2 things to make this ruling -

1. My conversation with Tizzla in PM and his post in the thread regarding the matter, admitting to the contact. That, alone was enough for me to DQ.

2. The video evidence, which solidifies the information provided by Manuelos, and leaves no doubt in my mind as to the nature of the incident.

Each issue will be handled separately, according to circumstances, but it is possible that video evidence could be used to DQ an opponent.

GTP_Theewar vs GTP_Cohiba100

Met up on Suzuka tonight. Me in a Corvette and Theewar in a S2000. I knew that he was quicker than me so my plan was to try and hang onto his tail and possibly stress him into making a mistake. My plan worked for all of 20 seconds until I spun out in the esses on the very first lap. Ended up facing the wrong way with my nose stuck into the barrier and before I had made my way back to the track Theewar was long gone. At the end of the first lap he held a 13 second lead and that was of course the end of the race. I did the laps and made my way through the traffic. None of us had any problems with the other racers and I could see from the gap that Theewar had backed off a bit. In the end it was quite uneventful and Theewar won with just under 15 seconds.

Congratulations once more and good luck in the rest of the series.

Racers - GTP_Mav3r1cK (Corvette) Vs GTP_Davey07-O37 (S2000)
Track - Suzuka
Winner - GTP_Mav3r1cK

We managed to get connected on the very first attempt and there were only 3 other cars in the race. I had pole position, and we both got back to our starting points well within the 30 seconds. 30 seconds ticked by and I shot away, but Davey seemed to get a poor start almost like he'd missed the 30 seconds altogether. So by the time we got through the Esses for the first time I had a good 2 or 3 second lead. It was a lead I continued to build with the exception of a couple of time penalties through a lack of concentration, these penalties aloud Davey to catch up a fair bit, but once I'd gotten re-focused the lead gradually increased again.

I think Davey may have had some issues with one of the back markers, but other than that a totally clear race.

Thanks again for the race Dave and best of luck for your remaining races.
