Yes.
Of course I forgot to mention that.. For the ultimate cockpit experience I always turn the HUD off and set the POV to narrow. Sometimes when racing online I put the HUD back on to keep an eye on my sectors, but otherwise all I see on screen is the car and the road.. What more could you want 👍
As for driving at night in the rain at Nurburg... Its erm.... Intense!! Absolutely loved it though. Straining my eyes to see the road, straining my ears to hear the engine, and straining my talent to its limits!
Cockpit cam is king. I would never drive any other way since it was implimented in prologue.
Are you trying to tell me that in cockpit view, the edges of the car aren't really where they appear?? 'Cause that's ridiculous, you can see the side of the car closest to the wheel hit things when you run into them. That's what that image would lead you to believe but it's not the case because when in cockpit view you are effectively still using that central seating position that you have when in bumper-cam. It's easy to notice 2 ways.
1) Swapping between bumper and cockpit view you will notice no change in the seating position. When you go from a supposedly right hand-drive cockpit view to bumper cam, the image should "snap" as the POV changes but it doesn't.
2) When in cockpit mode you'll notice that in a RHD car (for example) you are able to run the left hand tyres seemingly off the track as perspective would suggest without actually going off track. This is because you are actually sitting in the center but with a cockpit offset to make you think you're on the right hand side of the car.
The edges of the dials align almost perfectly with the width of the car, and I think that's why it's preferred as it allows the driver to be very accurate with his car positioning.
I've explained a lot of this pretty badly, but you get the point I hope.
good job i was born and raised in the good old u k of e :d right hand drive suits me fine! Aint that right my friends from a land down under!! 👍
DS3 stands for Dual Shock 3 right? The same thing as SIXAXIS?
Hi guys i need some help, does anyone no how to find out what Div u are in cos i cant find it (WRS series) thanks
an yes i have posted my times
It'd be a nice to know what everyone around you was using for sure. Doesnt really bother me though. Its not like I think others have an advantage using bumper cam, after all its my choice not to use it. Like you I prefer the immersiveness of cockpit cam. I'd rather be Div2 with it than Div1 without it. (not like I could ever be Div1 )

EDIT: So I did a very simple test: I parked with the middle of my car on a straight white line. In bumper cam, the line is in the middle. In cockpit view, for both LHD and RHD, the line is off to the side as you would expect.
Yep, there is just one different thing
The DS3 have a vibrator , and the SXS don't have
Very interesting indeed. My tendency is to use bumper-cam but I switched to cockpit view for the quali and was so bad at first anyways that I didn't notice a difference. After a few runs at each sector and starting to get a feel for the car, the times started improving but I never thought to switch back and see if it was any easier. The cockpit view just looks too good even if not any more realistic.
Now that's a clear, concise, easy to understand, "can't be disputed" kind of test. Glad we cleared that one up
