Just one issue.....
How do I know how much time i'll spend doing a WRS if i've never done one before?
I could go by how I usually do time trials, but that sometimes requires thousands of laps (depending on tuning).
The qualifier does not have tuning, so you are really comparing it to your expected wheel time on a non-tuning week. We're also very good about sharing tunes, so you don't have to be a tuning expert or build your own from scratch to participate. Some of us like to, but it's not a requirement.
Check out this thread to get an idea of how much time people are spending each week.

Based on the poll results, somewhere between 3 and 8 hours is typical. If you don't think you'll have 8 hours to commit each week, I would suggest not putting that amount into the qualifier, as it can be pretty discouraging if you get placed in a division you cannot keep pace with. My suggestion would be to commit at least 2 hours to each of the sectors, even if you think you are very familiar with the track.
If you think you'll have more time to compete each week, run more. If you really won't ever have that amount of time to spend in a week, go ahead and spend less. But I think you'll find this to be pretty addicting.
