I understand the format required to register, but I'm struggling with the changing of my psn id. According to my ps3 manual, once I have entered an online id, it's fixed.
As"sphinx" required before GTP_registration. Am I to create another user on the ps3? Does this have any affects? For eg;will I have to repeat all classes of racing?I have searched a lot of threads looking for more imformation.

Create a new PSN user account and then copy your GT5P game save from your original account to the new account. 👍

What he said. When I set up my new PSN account with GTP nametag,I did it as a " sub-account" , as to not take away space for different user accounts that my be also using the PS3 , just a little tidbit for those people who have various users

Ok cool excellent thanks for that, I know your busy and I'll send you my qualifer soon.

Send your GTP_Registry entry request first and after you've been accepted you can then submit your qualifying time. This is only open to GTP_Registered members:

Here are the first few lines in the qualifier thread:

Attention to all GTP_Registry Members!!!

This qualifier has to be completed by all members.

This qualifier is for GTP_Registry members only.

You and this other guy shouldn't be discussing qualifier times in private. Everyone agrees to abide by this before taking part, it's clearly written:

  • Do not discuss privately or post publicly any of your splits or final times, or anything relating to this qualifier that would help another driver to improve on his/her final lap time. By taking part in this qualifier you therefore agree to this very strict ruling

I don't know how much clearer I can make this.

I bet you are beginning to think that you sound like a stuck record Sphinx

Why can't people grasp what is happening? It isn't rocket science what you are asking them to do!

Keep up the good work though Sphinx you have my upmost RESPECT for organising this :)

And not a very good one either: :sly:

At least you haven't lost your humor.

At least for now.

I thank you for your time also. 👍

LOL!
Just had a look at the Official GTP_Registry Thread...

I'm from Switzerland (CH) not Swaziland (SZ)!

Don't worry Sphinx. Common mistake. :)
And aswell a "thank you!" on my behalf for your efforts. 👍

Inexcusable. I'm very sorry about that. :dunce: It's not as if you were the first Swiss to be added. :dopey::dopey:

Amended. 👍

Go back to the registry thread and read the red stuff:

Please allow three days for your request to be processed

The process of registering your PSN ID is simple. All you have to do is pm me ( Sphinx ) stating your new GTP PSN ID (please create your new GTP_PSN ID before registering) together with your Country. (Please use 'PSN Registration' within the PM subject line)

Notice to all New Members:

There is a delay in your ability to send private messages. Once a member of the moderation team approves your first post to the forums, then your PMS should become enabled shortly after. Please be patient.

You sent it yesterday so I believe I still have 2 days to process your request?

I second that BIGtime. Sphinx/Jerry is imho the most impressive, just and hard-working member of all of GTP.

Well guys, My dad has finally found one of the 60 Gb PS3s! While I'm not guranteeing anything(something always happens everytime I do), I'm hoping to join you guys:)

Sphinx quick question, I don't know if this has been asked or not, but once you submit your lap time and are put into a division, are you in that division forever? Or can you bump up if, over time, you get better?

Yes you do get bumped up if you get better, you can get bumped down aswell.

Created new ,copied game saves, ps3 would not allow e-mail address ,soooo delete old user, still no good and the only way I could get back online was to go existing account when setting up ps3 account ,hope u got some idea what my dilema is.

I'll try to help Sphinx a bit and field this one. After awhile they review and see who is ready to move up and down, it's a two way street, and if very clear that someone is ready, the promotion is then granted. I'm not sure what the standards are for promotion and demotion but I believe they are high.

Sphinx, if I'm way off base here, I'm sorry. But I hope this helps.

zed300 you need a different email address to make a sub account

I respect the ruling of the confidentiality of the lap times for the qualifier but what about people browsing the Time Attack scoreboards to have an idea of how fast other GTP members are? I pretty sure there are some fast GTP members that are fast enough to qualify on the scoreboard and some people are exploiting this loophole to get an idea. :(

The lowest time on the scoreboard is a 13.1 and that is FAST. I just ran a lap-time that I thought I could be competitive with, some people will probably do laps for hours just to get into that highest division, personally I don't want to get stomped because I got one good lap out of a thousand. Not saying that anyone has, but I'm sure somebody will.

You're on base. 👍

I've answered this question many times. Yes, we can see the top 100 times but there was nothing we could do about it, blame PD for their crappy replay files. This does spoil it somewhat, but it doesn't spoil everything, and that's why the ruling not to discuss lap times or anything about the qualifier lap is still in place. "We just need to soldier on"

I don't want to add the "GTP_" to the start of my username.

Can I submit the quali and race without a "GTP_xxx" username?
