Daan you crack me up with your one word decisiveness. Just reading your post is like, whoa, he's really serious about this, and all you used is one word. :scared: Now why can't I post like that :ouch:

Yay i'v been accepted :), hope to race some of you guys soon and i'll try the Time Trial beginning of next Month since im moving from Great Britain to Australia lol hence why it's showing my ID from Australia good luck to all!

Quick question if I may, sorry if its been asked already, but 800+ posts is an awful lot to wade through:-

Regarding the qualifier, does that have to be done with the GTP_ tag?

The reason I ask is that I already have an ok'ish time in the rankings (untagged) which I did some time ago and have my ghost lap saved. Obviously I could do another lap with the tag attached but if I did that and managed to get another similarly placed lap that could possibly push other drivers that are not GTP members further down the Online rankings. It just seems kind of daft to have two times from the same person on the ranking page... what say you?

We have GTP_Tags to take part in official GTP events. Is really that surprising that one would have to use a GTP_Tag for the official GTP_Registry qualifier?

suppose so yes, but can't see what's wrong with using a name you use regular, after all, the laps, time's we do are private, then posting confirmation of our time to yourself. Now racing in the events, that's a different matter...tags all the way.

The qualifier only started recently.
The date the qualifier thread was created is the date when all questions/doubts started being posted on this thread, so it's only a few pages of search, not 800+ posts.

And when we request a replay for verification it'll be nice to see the GTP_Tag displayed on the replay. If we allowed everyone to use whatever tag they liked it could get a little confusing for those trying to keep things simple.

I don't think so Sphinx, I got bummed when I heard that you had to have the GTP_ tag because I thought you couldn't change your PSN ID with the downloaded version, but I discovered that if the second account you make is a sub-account (I tried making a second account before to no avail) then it works just fine :) so I was overjoyed.

Anyways no Sphinx, some people are just lazy, and your explanation should be satisfactory for everyone, because it is a good reason folks. If anyone doesn't think so, well I said it earlier.

Hi Guys,

Just thought I would say hello as I need to create a post to get my personal messaging enabled.

I am 35, and I live up in Turriff in the North of Scotland, and I am addicted to GTP5. Thought I would join as I am pretty big on clean and courtious racing.

Hope to see you online soon.

Regards

James

Welcome James! I suggest you read the AUP if you haven't already, it was the best piece of advice I got and it will help stop you from doing something against the rules and get in trouble with the mods.

and one question.. how long did it take some of you to get your registrations processed and get on the list? just curious..

The process of registering your PSN ID is simple. All you have to do is pm me ( Sphinx ) stating your new GTP PSN ID (please create your new GTP_PSN ID before registering) together with your Country. (Please use 'PSN Registration' within the PM subject line)

sigh, high HP FRs arn't my thing. Especially that *cough* Ferrari wich oversteers at low speeds. (BTW) I don't own a weel yet :( [soon]. Understeer is my freind :)

Less than a week now until the divisions are decided.:dopey: 1 week and I can probably use my G25 wheel too, almost finished my cockpit. Hopefully it won't be long before I move up my initial division.

:ouch:

Please read the Qualifier race info again, especially the 'Submission Deadline' part and you'll find out that we're NOT joking

Hey, I read it, but I forget what month we're in.:dopey:

GT5P has this pretty cool magic calendar on the main page. It even shows stuff like the month we're in.
Some people say (though I find it hard to believe) that if you look hard and long enough, you'll eventually see which day it is... Creepy, huh?

No.....way! I write down the date around 30 times a day at work, you'd think I know what month we're in, but I always just forget. Especially around this time of year with August, September and October.
