I can't PM sphinx my time until I have posted 1 time first in forum. Problem is, Im leaving for work right now and wont be home again until 1-2 days so if any moderator sees this, Ill pm sphinx my time as soon as I will be able to do it.

Have you actually joined the registry yet? If you are just now cleared for PMs then I am assuming that you did not send him your registration PM first. That must be done before you can send in a qualifier time.

I think from how you describe that you won't make this round. But there will be more opportunities after this, so don't worry.

I was supposed to work on this Qualifier this weekend but I have been busy (and lazy ), I guess I will just have to submit the 'ok' time I have now.

sorry but i have got my best lap time like several weeks ago. but now after reviewing the rules again...where TF is the "save best lap replay"??????????? i have just done "save replay" and after going through the replay it doesn't show any of the T1 T2 time splits that Sphinx wanted off from the "save best lap replay". well i don't know, i think i am just going to submit my final time.

To access the splits (and other details) while watching the replay you need to press square (during the replay).

Honestly, the splits are not shown on my replay when viewing the replay through the Replay option from the main screen. I know where the the splits are at on the track but however the splits are not posted when I hit the spot. I am quoting Sphinx from his message he sent:

I have just got done completing 5 laps on the Arcade/Time Trial and EXITED. The next screen DOES NOT show a "Save Best Lap Replay". There is a "Save Replay" and "Save Ghost Replay" however.

Save ghost replay, it's the same thing from my understanding as you can watch the ghost replay the same way from Mypage replay.

I chose "Save Replay" because it sounded more closer to "Save Best Lap Replay" than it did to "Save Ghost Replay". I bet he pasted the OLR rules that pertained to GT4. Well just for that he should make another 1 week extension. (ike ike ike) Too bad he is not on right now so I will have to submit my BEST LAP REPLAY time.

This has been discussed enough already in this thread. If you're playing the game in English the option to save your fastest lap is called "Save Best Lap Replay".
In other languages it's called the "Save Ghost Replay".
When in doubt the safe thing to do would be to save both replays.

Um, you can't even join the registry without creating a GTP_ PSN ID.

You can have 16 [active] accounts on 1 PS3. Each Master Account can have 5 sub accounts.

A sub account cannot be changed to a Master Account. Such is the case with our son, he now has is own PS3 and his original PSN ID is a Sub.

You'd need PM Sphinx to register your GTP_Registry username first - qualifier entries from members not in the GTP_Registry won't be accepted - and since the GTP_Registry was closed, temporarily, to new applications yesterday I doubt you'll be in much luck.

Standard clean OLR rules apply:

• 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
• rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
• no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
• if you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
• no hybrids
• no cheating of any kind
• nothing that goes against the spirit of the game
• anything we haven’t thought of that could be construed as cheating
• save the 'Save Best Lap Replay'
  
  (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay', and keep it safe for at least 6 weeks after submission

Save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay),

not the 'Save Replay', and keep it at least 6 weeks after your time has been submitted:

• top 10 fastest times from each division will be required to submit a replay for verification (do not rely upon the online database for storing your replay)
• any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
• when a time verification has been requested, the driver concerned must provide a replay within 3 days
• failure to do so will result in the submitted time being ignored for official registration
• video replays are not accepted (video replays = .avi .mpg movie files etc)

First of all, I was following instructions from Sphinx original messege that was sent to me (I've forwarded that messege to him already), not instructions fromt his thread. Plus the sticky thread from Sphinx has been edited today so who knows what has been changed. I know for sure that is different from the one he PM'ed me.

I am playing the NTSC USA English version with the latest patch and there is no "Save Best Lap Replay"!! There is a "Save Ghost Replay".

And plus it is already too late to save both replays because this was done like on the first week. But you know what? oh welllllllllll!!

Yes you are correct I did not follow instructions and went and saved the "Save Replay" instead of the "Save Best Lap Replay" (which there is none).

If you had copy and pasted the GTP_Registry Qualifier Race thread into your message that you sent me 2 days after (message was dated August 10th, 2 days after the thread was made), it is clearly not the same one. Do a search in the PM u sent me and there is no "Save Best Lap Replay/"Save Ghost Replay" with the icon!!!

I don't like what you are implying here. The qualifier thread is always being updated and is the reason why it's now different from your outdated version.

If you can't do another lap at the pace of the one in your replay, then it's not a good representation of how good a driver you are anyway, it would appear to have been a lucky lap.

Although you may well want to give the best representation of yourself to all the other members, and get in a higher division, if you can't actually race at that pace consistently, then you're just going to end up against people who are faster than you, and end up losing a lot, which won't be much fun...

Just do say 10 laps, save your best, and submit that. You've obviously worked on it a lot if you got your best lap weeks ago, so I think you'll enjoy the races in the end more if you submit a time that's a more accurate representation of how fast you are, instead of your absolute best case scenario one lap magic when it all comes together...

It is "Save Ghost Replay"

The text are different from regions from where you got the game.

In PAL, it's Save best lap replay.

In NTSC, it's Save Ghost replay.

In JP, it's 割引率ベストラップリプレイ

Not to sound to harsh here but the people who are posting and having excuses of not being able to post their times because their at work, been busy, didnt save thier lap times, dog died or just flushed their gold fish down the toilet " TOUGH LOOK".
You have had more than enough time to do this. Instructions were left clearly by Sphinx which even my 7 year could follow so whats the hell is the problem. The man has worked his balls off setting this up and its not his fault that you CAN NOT follow simple instructions.
GO AND PLAY BURNOUT OR SOMETHING.
