ps: people are so curious about rankings and division, why don't you guys look at the online ranking? you can have an idea...
A couple reasons:
1) most of the submissions won't even be on the top 100
2) A few players actually did their trial offline, so that it wouldn't register.
3) The Division 1-2 cut will likely come somewhere in the top 100, or just outside of it. Even with this, people outside of the top 50 or so won't know for sure where they sit.
I think I have read in this thread that there is going to be 5 divisions? I also think I read that there is over 400 member with a GTP tag?
I may be wrong, but how will they work if so? Or have I just jumped ahead?
Yeah, what I mean is... Say 500 people submit a time.
5 divisions. 100 in each. Pretty big divisions?
those of us who are slow pokes don't know how many non-GTPers are between us and our ranking. My goal is second to last division, although I suspect that I may be in the last division. I think that placement in the division is probably more important than the actual division. If you are last you might get disillusioned from losing all the time. At the top there might not be as many other drivers to learn from. Middle might be ideal. Of course maybe the divisions will be narrow enough that everyone within the division will be competitive.
Just an idea for Sphinx. The rules state that the top ten from each division will need to submit their replay. I'm wondering if the bottom ten might be more important because those are the people you might consider dropping down a division. Looking at the top ten would be important if you were thinking of bumping them up a division. Maybe looking at those close to a division cutoff would be better (say bottom five and top five). Just a thought. Great work.
Well, I took out my NART Blu F430 onto Suzuka less than an hour ago and submitted my times in before the deadline. It may not be a high ranked submission, but it's better than nothing.![]()
You cut that fine.
I've stormed through the submissions tonight and they have now all been processed except for a number of today's submissions that didn't meet the requirements. I'll deal with them later.
New membership numbers to be around 360
There's quite a few didn't bother doing the Qualifier then judging by the number.
Cheese and cracker, Sphinx. lol..
I know I was the most recent member to make a 5 divisions comment, so I will take the blame for that. But I just did that because if you go here https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=105367&page=2 it lists five division spaces. Obviously that isn't enough for everyone.I think I have read in this thread that there is going to be 5 divisions?

Anyways, thanks guys for the CLEAR UP especially you too Sphinx. I'll just have to wait for the next meeting; even though I've submitted my voided time already. To be honest, I much rather have a GTP_ tag than any other tag for a numerous of reason; which is too long to be stated. But anyways, I'll be racing without the GTP_ tag because I so call "pissed someone off" (i don't blame for the amount of load that is going on). Congrats to all that has made their division. 👍👍👍👍👍
Doh, I went to submit mine but then saw it was closed...It should have been Sept 14th by region, I really had not thought about the time zone diff.![]()
👍
Your submission has been processed and you will appear in the divisions.
Yokatta!!!! I'm excited to hear that. Again congtatulations to all those who made it to their 1st round division. And also would like to thank you Sphinx for your time and hard work on organizing this community and all those who helped.

Submission Deadline:
Yes, there is an initial deadline. The deadline for submission is Midnight (GMT) Sunday September 14th 2008. If you are unsure of the deadline in your time zone then try this site.
I don't think its cool to be posting PERSONAL messages, unless permission is given from the other parties concerned.
Wow! Is it that time already? (I hadn't been paying attention) Can't wait to find out how high a number Sphinx has to come up with to place me in a division![]()
Same case here. I ordered a G25 a few days ago and it arrived before the deadline, but I couldn't enjoy the driving with it since I was more out of the track that in, so I did the registry with my controller but I hope to one day will be able to drive with the wheel and improve times. In fact if fustrated me, I stopped to play the game because I didn't realize how I could be so bad with the wheel, jesus.Well he said there were 360 submits, so I'm guessing I'll be around 300. I did my time with the controller though, so maybe when we start competing I'll move up a bit.
