From D2 bronze to D2 gold is a nice improvement. I'm satisfied with the improvement but I reckon D1 would have been possible if I started earlier. I think I spent 6 hours maximum in total for this qualifier. That is about the amount of time I would spend on official events, but still is way to less compared to most of the guys in the registry. So during the normal official events I think I have a bit of an advantage over some of the guys above me who normally don't put in so much time.
One possibly rude question which doesn't have to be answered if the answer must stay secret: How can we compare the handicap you have with the amount of seconds you're behind on Twissy (or the estimated ultimate laptime)?

Thanks to all the admins for their tremendous effort! 👍:gtpflag:

You can't. We use the handicap system as a comparison of relative skill but we keep the times a secret. ;)

Thanks admins for all the work and for beating the 'couple days' estimate ;)
P.S. WRS Online registration gave me an error twice in browsers other than Chrome, hope it didn't actually come through three times..

Wow, D1 is a bit breathtaking. Saw my name there and had a bit of an un-controllable smile

And now I see Bart is D1 Bronze with me...that feels wrong! I'm definitely gunna have to work my nuts off to prove I deserve that place. Really humbled to have made it to D1 :)

Edit: Oh and 👍 @Twissy and all the D1G guys. That is a small division now, and you all are made of pure insanity to have made it up there.

Sorry, I didn't keep in mind I would be able to calculate anyone his time this way Just was curious what the gap was and how much I could have got out of it with more practice. my apologies;)

Yay, I am really happy right now! After qualifying in D1 bronze in GT5 Prologue and D1 Silver for GT5, I could only hope for D1 Gold this time! I hope everyone is happy with their placement the same way I am. Big congratulations to Twissy for what seems like a incredible overall time. Oh and I'd like to shout a special congrats to the many canadians present in D1! Life is good...:D

And of course everyone involved in the word behind the scenes.

Yes, your online driver registration went through three times, but no big deal, it's easy to delete three two of them. :sly:

@oink83... you said your goal was to beat me in an online race... now this. I'm gonna... I'm one or two good results away from joining you though so enjoy it while it lasts.

I knew @gtpcaine and @jammy21 were fast than I.

But I didn't know I would be in D3S. A long way to go before I'm D1G - although I doubt I ever will be...

@Turbo_snail and @Zuel in my division excites me, though. I got into a good group of clean drivers who are almost exact in terms of pace. 👍

Really happy with D1 Silver :D, especially with the reduced number of D1 drivers. Bunched up with some big alien names, which I'm sure will give me extra motivation to improve each week :).

To all those who hit their targets, congratulations!

To those who are disappointed with their placement, only thing I can say is stay and participate, in TTs or online races (or both). I guarantee you will improve as a driver with help of the great community we have here.

Massive thanks to the admins for working (presumably) around the clock in ensuring the hundreds of replays were clean. for the leaderboard and statistical wizardry.

Wowww still in D1 after some years off GT

Now in Bronze instead of Silver but still there. And when I see all those fast guy around me :nervous::scared:

Loved the RS @ Willow and certainly loose a lot of time on the fast combo @ Brands Hatch which was I would say a very good choice from the admins. 👍

See you all on track :gtpflag:

Another question:
I know a promotion will be given to someone when he or she frequently preforms better than his division placement states. Is there a way you guys keep track of this, or do you guys give a promotion when you start to notice pattern of outperforming your division placement. So do you guys base it upon keeping track of these results, or upon what you as a group notice? Sorry if my question is a bit hard to comprehend. I had trouble translating it from Dutch to English.:D
I don't think I'm anywhere close to being promoted myself at the moment but you never know what the future might bring.
It's just that being so close to D1 makes me want to be in D1 although that's unrealistic at the moment.:P

D1 Silver, thats not bad :D i thought i would have been in D2 or D3 i prob should have put more time into that damn BMW. Congrats to everyone.
I recognize you from the valstreams if I'm correct. Awesome you're also in the registry! You were so damn fast in those open lobbies.

Each event you run will give you a handicap that will affect your overall handicap. If its regularly negative, your overall handicap will decrease over time. If it reaches a division cutoff, you will be looked at for promotion.

A little disappointed with D2G as I ventured into D1 at the end of GT5. But seeing how close I am to the cutoff I can't complain, two Tim's nice and close!

Well done all. 👍

Yah, I was really hoping for D1 myself, but the results speak for themselves -- we were very close. Anyway, I'm with you and Baron and Cicua and Gravitron and Carolos and the list goes on and that means I'm in the right spot. I put in a decent effort into the qualifier, but I didn't go mad with it at all. It isn't going to be easy to get a podium in D2 until we clear some of these guys out of here. Has anyone ever been promoted without earning a single podium? I may have to pull that off.
