So something like this

I know you can definitely connect a regular usb stick to a tablet - I have done it via a micro to usb cable on mine.

That would work too, assuming the USB drive is pre-formatted in FAT32 like SDHC cards.

I've also seen similar dongles for the iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch, but the process of getting iOS to read files to/from the PS3 folder on a USB drive (or SD card) involves a jailbreak of the Apple device.

I do know for certain that once the replay gets onto an Android tablet/phone with an app that creates zip files, Fetchy will accept it with no fuss.

I said it before. I'm thinking about joining and after reading about WRS I'm in. I race in the snail league but I love what I have read here. Soon as I can find my thumb drive I'm going to start on the cars. Glad I don't have to make a new account. But can't wait to do the time trials and find out where I fit in.
I have created me a GTP name it's GTP_Compton3 so I won't be using the Floydc name for WRS

Obviously it is up to you which account you use, but be aware that:
1. You aren't allowed to have more than one GTP account, so you will have to pick one, and have the other banned.
2. GTP user name and PSN tag don't have to match, so you can still rock the GTP_ PSN name on your Floyd GTP account, while still using your old PSN for snail races or whatever you want to.

How do I delete the FloydC3 account?

How do I delete the FloydC3 account?

You can't actually delete an account on GT Planet. Here's an extraxt from the F.A.Q's

"For record-keeping and accountability, user accounts are not deleted from GTPlanet. If you no longer wish to be a part of the community, simply stop visiting the site.

To completely disable your account, sign in to the account (so your ownership of it can be verified), then contact the administrator by clicking this link.
"

I'm just going to pretend I didn't see this and deal with it in the morning. :P

@GTP_Compton3 or @FloydC3 : please PM me which GT Planet account you wish to keep. The other one will be deactivated.

Also you then need to choose which PSN account you'll use with us: floydlovesbritt3 or GRP_Compton3

Is it possible to change my PSN ID on the GTP registry or is this not allowed?

The reason I ask is because my GTP_Sig account is running low on currency and I would prefer to use my normal Sig1611 account as it has much more game progress so is much more wealthier.

Sure, I'll make the changes.

Very much so on the Apple side of things, most likely because Apple doesn't really want people to use an iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch as a full replacement of their MacBooks.

On Android and Windows mobile devices, moving replays from the PS3 to Fetchy really isn't more involved than it is on the Mac/PC.

Well I been using a Mac for 15 years now and I love them, but I know they have a very restrictive model. They'll last longer, perform better, but there is almost no upgrading them besides ram.
Very few third party software too...

I want to join this :)
I'll assume that means you saw that there are 2 qualifiers that you need to run and submit replays for? If not:

Details: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gtp_registry-qualifier-gt6.294799/
HOWTO: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/step-by-step-guide-to-the-gtp_registry-qualifier-gt6.294845/

And then watch this thread where we announce new Registry members: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gtp-wrs-new-drivers-and-promotions.301215/

New members and promotions are usually done every Monday night.

See you on track and good luck in GT Academy's regional finals!

Long time away from the game guys. I ran the qualifier way back in January but never submitted my times. I have barely raced since as life took over.

Should I re-run the qualifier now? I see that one of the latest updates have physics changes so would my old run times even work?

Looking forward to getting back online to race again. Are the weekly races still as active as ever?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Scott

Welcome back, Scott. I would hold off and not submit those replays, and don't waste time re-running the Megane or BMW qualifier unless you're just curious how close you can come to hitting those old times.

We have closed the Registry to new entries right now and cleared the backlog that happened just before the closure. Fetchy will reject any new submissions at this time.

There will be an announcement soon about how new folks can join, so look for that in this thread.

The online races started out strong in GT6, with multiple rooms per timeslot, but now have settled down to 1 room per timeslot, with the Weekend slot being the most popular these days. Last Saturday we had a full 16 at Nurb 24h in the BRZ GT300 and it was a blast, despite there being some questionable actions by a few drivers.

...don't waste time re-running the Megane or BMW qualifier....

Ahh....so my efforts in the Megane and the BMW in v1.09 are for nought? Darnit, but I'm still pleased with the time I managed to post in the BMW.

Looking forward to your announcement.....

I'm afraid this may be the case. We are still working out the details.

Anyone who has not started on the Megane or BMW and was planning to, or anyone who has started but not gotten down to times they are happy with - I would suggest to put those on hold.

Hold on to any replays you have that you are happy with, just in case.

Let's hope that the physics aren't demolished by PD again anytime soon....must be a right headache re-working handicaps and calculating accurate division cutoffs. Can imagine the BMW in particular is quicker in the bends.

So, the GTP_Registry Qualifier is closed as of 1.09, when will it re-open? I'm thinking of joining...
I've moved your post in here. We're working out some final details on how we'll manage the qualifier going forward, we should have an answer very soon.
