Wait, we can use any PSN ID we want now?
Correct :)

This is quoted from the Qualifier Thread:
Optional GTP_PSN Name Tag Format:
We are no longer requiring the GTP_ prefix on PSN names. That said, if you have a GTP_ prefixed account, we encourage you to use it and show your pride for our community.

Edit: tree'd by Lucas

Hello everyone,
I'm pretty new to all this but been reading the various wrs threads and just want to say, what an awesome community you guys have and the ethos/way you have gone about making this as fair, fun, and fast as possible, with different divisions, events, and the handicap system....
Awesome!
Can't wait to register, will be starting on the Megane now.
Love the fact that anyone can register, so long as they are compliant to the lengthy rules stated. Very comprehensive and confidence inspiring.
Thanks to the guys at gt planet, and looking forward to submitting qualifiers!

Glad to see this was liked!
Just done my Megane lap, spent about 25 mins to get what I feel is an OK time.
Looking forward to the weeks ahead

Glad you found us and are excited to join.

That said, think about how much time over the course of a week you will be able to put into the weekly events in the future. I'm guessing it'll be much more than 25min. So please spend an appropriate amount of time on each qualifier.
If you put in 25min and then end up running multiple hours on each weekly event (like us loonies do:dunce:), then you will have underqualified and potentially disturb your division-mates who will grumpily call you a sandbagger. :)

Haha.
Ok, duly noted. I'm not posting that time, just going to bed and wake up to go at it again, but want to have a time for both and get a feel for both. My thinking is I will find the beemer qualy easier for my driving style, that Renault really does understeer.
Yes can certainly commit to more than 25mins and will add time tomorrow.

Thanks for the early acceptance and words of warning.

Welcome Bert. I don't think your qualifier will be processed before the end of week 11. But feel free to run it to see if you can do even better than your qualifier. The R8 is fun to drive.
Please read the OP in the week 11 thread to make sure you foolow the rules.
Hey, let's make a fun game to keep you entertained until your qualifier is processed. Post the splits (not the total lap time) and how long it took you in the week 11 thread and I'm going to try to guess your qualifier result :)

Ok Mr..
5am here now, God I need another trip to Asia, but alas, between contracts still means I need some sleep here in London.
Ok, I shall try and post in a few hours once have slept ... Off to dream about braking points and splits :s

I wonder if having videos of the driving line (in different cars of course) would help people achieve results more exact to their potential?
Sorry if it's been brought up already, I haven't seen it if it has.

You should hopefully be placed in the registry tonight - so go ahead and get stuck in with the Abarth. 👍

Yes, a few people. Some really fast drivers as well.

Check the signatures in people's posts - they often list what wheel they use.

Yeah, don't worry about the R8 splits. The Abarth is fun.
I use even older wheel Drive Force Pro. I don't think better wheel would make me faster. My biggest problem is the nerves. I see good split numbers, freak out and stuff it into the wall :)
Based on your performance in Seasonal events I think you will land in Div 2 Silver (or even gold if you spent a lot of time in the qualifier).

just trying the abarth now,,, no idea how people are in the 24s for first split
only been about twenty minutes though.
one thing i feel a bit stupid to ask, but want to make sure.
all we can change on the abarth is the brake balance, right? it doesnt say if you can change rid the suspension though.
Doubt i will be in div2 silver, but would be very happy with that. One thing i was not good at was working out if a lap was clean or not.
Bert

We should take this discussion into the week 12 thread.
There is a video of the first sector showing good throttle control and avoiding the loose gravel at the track edge.

NOTICE: The WRS Registry is now temporarily closed for new submissions for at least the next few days. PD has thrown us a curve-ball in 1.06 and Fetchy needs some additional smarts to receive and check Qualifier replays.

The current event will not be affected, current Registry members can continue to run and submit laps for that.

Could a pre-1.06 lap/replay be verified by chance?

@JoostBaksteen  has fixed the Fetchy problem and the Registry is back open.

Welcome Combinho. You could get a good indication of where you are going to end up by running the week 13 combo and comparing the split times. The GT40 is great fun to drive.

Finally got around to submitting my times. I think it took me a couple of years for GT5 so 4 months is quite an improvement:lol:. Good luck to everyone:cheers:
We've been waiting for you, Johnny. :mischievous: Hopefully you can join in more WRS events this time. :)

I found a few pesky tenths left but hopefully be submitted this weekend.

For the record I think the Megane combo is fantastic, can't walk away from it.
Well I'm glad that's the reason you've been delaying, Dom. 👍 I agree, once you get the hang of it, you just want to throw it around the course.

We look forward to both of your submissions. :gtpflag:

EDIT: Already received Johnny's 👍
