My first session yields a

15.754
35.782

I know there's more here for me , but getting the right setup is another story.
Was getting close with my setup until i powered off for the night without saving, Stupid me.

With the new gear ratio's, looks like everyone can now start turning their baby for longer rev's :)

Another 30mins..... worse splits, but a cleaner T3 and total time.

T1: 15.388
T2: 34.789

Proper customisable gear ratios in the update. And now to watch the split times drop ([EDIT]; probably not my split times, but I'm expecting to see movement on that leaderboard).

*runs off to lengthen 2nd*

Another 15mins yields the result i've been chasing for 4 days....

T1: 15.277
T2: 34.645

T3 was satisfactory as well, improved nearly a tenth again.

Very happy with the lap..... there might be a tenth again in the total time, but i might end up chasing my tail trying to find it!

Still with DS3. 2hrs last night with the DFGT, and all it got me was a good dose of ghost exhaust fumes. But I'll keep at the wheel.

Just finished uploading the updates. WOW. I know some will be looking for more, as they always will, but I'm pleased that PD and Sony seem to be listening to what we've been saying as far as "clean means green"! If you can't keep it on the track, then it's not authentic.
Here in the the States, we also have a multitude of platforms for on-line racing, so I'm glad to see an effort to make this GT5 experience as close to being on the track seem as real as it can be.
I am in awe of what Jordan and his team has already accomplished with this site, and they still keep doing more. My hat is off to you!
With over 140 racers already running, with more to come, I'm thrilled to see such an enthusiastic response to what promises to be a great training ground for racers, both simulated and real.
:gtpflag:

Post your times as seen in the above posts, T1 in the first row, then T2 in the second, then a fetchbot will automatically add it in

I also had a brain fart regarding this.
I posted my splits here, Clicked on the WRS leader board & there my times are.
So my time Is submited yes?

Well i can't say that i didn't try..but i think i should be back in Div2 somewhere and half of Div 2 should be up in Div 1 somewhere!
I'm done trying.

T1 15,430
T2 34,881

The Leaderboard is really just here to keep our interest alive as the competition week progresses. It's here to give us a guide to our performance relative to others. Remember that T2 is only just a little more than half a lap, so the final results may be somewhat different to what appears on the leaderboard.

What decides your final position in the competition is the final time you submit to the race admin as described on the first page of this thread.

Oh man, I havn't even started on this yet. I'll put the update on and have a bash. Could someone kindly link me to page or post that a popularish setup?

Cheers, I need to try and see if I can mingle with the Division 1 guys.

Hmm, after a slight suspicion about the restrictor available since the update, I tuned my car with all removable power upgrades and then restricted back to the original 295bhp, and found that I was able to retain the full torque benefits of the upgrades. :indiff:

Am I right in assuming that this is definitely not allowed, and also is there any way of checking this to ensure the competition remains fair?

Edit: On double checking I've found that this still leads to an increase in PP though, is this sufficient for verification of setup?

Back on again for 20mins or so, and i must have peaked now..... Slower to T1, smoked T2 and the rest of the lap.... T3 was as good as it gets.

Absolutely stoked.

T1: 15.346
T2: 34.639

Ugh, I just can't come to grips with this car, pun intended ;). But since it's my first go round in the WRS I gotta put up something.

T1: 15.694
T2: 35.564

WOW! Nice splits man

I think you may just have put D2 gold position out of reach. Well for me anyway.

Cheers Duke, my previous entry about 3 hrs ago was a bullet T1, but the rest of the lap was satisfactory at best. I don't think i could duplicate the last 2 sectors of this lap again to be honest...... it's possibly the best i've ever driven.

great times osrg - props... ! 👍

 Thats how i feel..... i keep checking the replay to make sure it was actually that time! Watching the replay again......T3 was for me, perfect.

What happens if you miss a week of WRS? The thread I read mentions missing the deadline, but just says your SOL but doesn't say anything about consequences.

In the OP of this thread:

:: Only Open to Qualified GTP_Registered Members ::

:: Members are not obligated to take part ::

It doesn't matter if you miss any weeks. 👍
