Thanks for the link Red - looks like that could be the solution since my pedal issue is pretty much the same as that. 👍 Kinda disappointed though... that could've cost me a set of Clubsports right there. :P

We can debate about that, in my perspective maybe talent is part of the formula to succeed but I give it only a 10%

 Why is it always the most talented individuals who say that? Although it holds up I suppose - I was less than 1% slower than you in Week 11 - to my way of thinking, that difference is talent, plain and simple.

@Peter - Don't let him try his Redi mind tricks on you mate. But while you're there, mind telling me how the hell you're getting 33.3xx in T2? Seems to me like you've been infected with some alien DNA youself there... :)

:scared: Oh no I'm placed 13th on the leaderboard on Friday 13th :nervous:

That has to be a bad omen.

Can admin please change that to a 1 or a 3 :sly:

Phillip.

I am pretty sure that is just a short term fix though:sly: You should probably order the clubsports now, because I hear Fanatec sometimes takes a little while for delivery. I would be a shame if those potentiometers went out and you didn't already have the clubsports on the way.

Update:

27.358
33.302
-------

Still not happy with the time, compared to my best I lost 0.15 in last sector and 0.1 in first....hoping to find more time to run this one.

Although a big gain at the line and quicker T2 the Friday13th omen has kept me in 13th place.

T1: 0'27.867
T2: 0'33.604

Phillip.

Hi guys. Going to be more active now in WRS now that GT Academy is over.

After about 30 laps got the following

T1: 27.760
T2: 33.565

Some really impressive times so far 👍

Lynx-Can -- The Elise must keep as high a speed possible on these sticky tires when cornering. Its actually more important to keep from slowing to much for turns this week than any other aspect.

Hey Phillip. It's Saturday 14th today. :)

Yeah but it was Friday 13th when I set my last updated time and I was position 13 I'm stiill there.

Spooky. :scared:

Phillip

Edit thanks Rutter you've broke the spell

sticky tires? am I using the wrong tires or what? lol I can't keep the rear from sliding out. I'll have another go this evening, but I'm really struggling on this one.

Very small improvement in splits, but picked up 0.3 at the line vs. last splits. :D

Chris, No infection here, only 33.4xx/33.5xx in T2, but I am consistant there. In T2 most critical is to get that 1st left hander nailed correctly. Get that right and you will gain about 0.2 off the bat. I sweep right out to the rumble strip on the right hand side, and the timing seems to be just about exactly as I just get on the rumbles, dab the brake and then hold around 105-109kph around the corner. I don't give full gas until after the little roadway/pitlane (whatever it is) on the right hand side.

For the 2nd corner I brake down to 2nd and let off the gas an coast out wide initially, allowing me to come back in tight. I have a couple of markers I use for this. The 1st is the 2nd Brembo sign, when I see this in front of me I give about 75% constant throttle. The next is the little race control stand in the hill after the 2 final GT5 signs. When I see this it is my queue to get on the gas HARD!.

I've always tried to find physical fixed objects on the track or surrounds, rather than the braking markers themselves. This goes back about 10 years ago when someone took out the braking markers on the side at a track day. I came flying down and realized I had no braking markers and ended up in the sand in the run off area. :grumpy: Ever since then I never use things like shadows etc, since they may work in the game, but in real life shadows move :) Instead I use things like particular bumps/ridges in the track, or a grove left by a footpeg digging up the track.

His Redi mind tricks won't work on me only grass. mooo

T1 is just so frustrating for me arghhh 'In autumn ring nobody can hear you scream' :dopey:

Not much time left for me [busy] before the deadline to run this, so most likely will submit my last times on the board. Good luck, all!

.........

That's great Peter, many thanks. Don't know that I will pull it together but appreciate the run-down. 👍

Try singing instead of screaming - much more relaxing :dopey:

And best of luck Dan. :)

This is a really nice combo :)

T1: 27.701
T2: 33.528

Sector one needs improvment!

Sid (and the 43 others who are above me),

That run-down is much appreciated. Are you able to keep it in 3rd on this 1st corner in T2? I always have to drop to 2nd. I'll compare my speed to yours when I look at my replay, that should tell me too.

Also you must be cutting across the left-hand rumble quite a bit too, right (legally, of course!)?

What an awkward corner this is for me, but agreed it's important, with all the flat-out that follows.

Also what's people's speed across the start/finish? My best is 109mph/175kph.

I like to look at trends and 1/3 within 1 sec. , 1/3 within 2 sec's

I didn't think we could talk about the magic number..... hummmmm, nice #

Yeah, you can talk about SFL speed.

I'm normally hitting about 108. Not sure that I've seen a 109, but if I did, I'm sure I missed my braking point for turn 1. :dopey:

Here are some new ones for me. Made quite a bit of progress throughout the day today by coming back to it for a couple of more sessions.

27.836
33.880

Same for me, poolhaas. Actually, my tire was even closer. I need to log another session to catch millross. My best lap (the dirty one) is still .003 behind him. If I can't catch him, though, I'll be happy to at least catch Kevin!! :sly:

I'm still struggling to get seat time for this week which is really frustrating as
a) the car is a hoot to drive around this track on these tyres, and;
b) I chucked away a very competitive lap (.710 at T2 split) so I know I have good pace here...

Ultimately I did end up going faster than my posted splits, but only by a slim margin. Still doing something wrong in the swtchbacks of T1 as I can't break 28 seconds no matter what I do. I can usually hit .6 and .7 in T2 so I'm competitive there, and despite a relatively bad T2 here, the splits below ended with a personal best in T3 so I still had an overall improvement at the line, but I need more than 5 laps a day to get into a rythm. Will try and sneak in some time tonight (fingers crossed).

There's some great D3 times going in though 👍

28.041
33.923

Agreed 👍

Here we go again - bring it!!

ok, finally starting to chip away at my times:

T1: 28.043
T2: 33.809

my best laps are always on the first lap after a restart..... I guess I just like cold tires... or I'm overdriving the car after the first lap... probably the former of the two.

OK, pedals temporarily serviced...

Everyone seems to be making good progress. 👍 Nice step forward Kev - once you get in the 27s and 33s it starts to fall into place I reckon.

I've got a lovin' feelin' about T1 but T2 still a bit hit and miss... and still not catching those two abductees I have above me in D2. Not complaining though, still a step forward. Up 0.04 in my splits but up 0.2 at the line with a much better T3.

T1: 27.563
T2: 33.670

Went well wide in turn 1 again so I actually think I can go another 0.1 in T1. T2 I've seen a couple of 33.5xx but its still not coming easily.

A very good night all

Here is my first attempt at this. Not too familiar with this track so this should be interesting. T1 is killing me...

T1: 28.601
T2: 34.095

T1: 27.563
t2: 33.356

edit - Chris.. you and I have the exact same time in T1 down to the thousandth. Must be a groove on the track:idea:

t1: 28.601
t2: 34.095

T1: 28.056
T2: 33.969

Still not comfortable with T1 sector, but I'll take the improvement.
