Hey look the old codger is air born :grumpy:

picture.php

Not my normal style but what the hell, if this is what I need to make my goal this week. 👍

Phillip :sly:

That's nothing to be ashamed of, Phillip. I'd be proud of that one, as a matter of fact. ;)

Nice pic, Phillip!

Put on some Swing Out Sister and had another run before work in the Bordeaux Red.

Looks like turns 9, 10 and 11 are working, at least for me. :sly:

T1: 28.693
T2: 34.444

Trying to hook onto NineHundred's bumper,

Turns out I'd probably loose a place on the board with my new times..

Also, looking at all my best lap replays, they're all between 7.30-8pm... I have a go during the day sometimes, but I perform better at night for some reason.

Edit: Nooo Diamond, I want my first podium 👍

Did you here that from clarky

And in the lotus the last thing you need on this track is a 'bingle' :)

+1 and Fev ...

Stop it! It hurts too laugh so much! :D I have a nasty flu at the moment so every time I laugh it is agonising on my throat... :(

So... I wonder if anyone outside Aus. has any idea what we are on about...

T1 28.696
T2 34.517

First time driving this car with TC turned off.

Well done poolhaas, slow a gentle with the gas pedal and not to much turn on the wheel.

You'll soon cut the time off. 👍

Phillip.
Just found out about the wheel turning part

Using my DS3 for this round, I can't find a good feel with the HKS controller

28.201
33.820

I found some more time using the AS on Strong last night. Then turned it off and found even more time :D.

28.002
33.421

Can my previous splits be replaced with the ones below please. I just accidently deleted my fastest lap replay. I've resubmitted my time to fetchbot.
Cheers

28.297
34.096

Sorry if this is a dumb question but just had a quick query on the tires being legal in this photo?

AutumnRing.jpg

If so here are my splits:

T1: 29.283
T2: 34.757

If my times are a little off it's hard to fit these sessions in with a newborn!

You're perfectly legal. You just need to have 2 tires on (or directly over) track, and rumbles are part of the track.

I've noticed through the chicane that the game does a pretty good job of red clocking off track encounters. But, as always, it's up to each participant to scrutinize their own replays and not count on that.

Thanks for the inquiry and the effort to be fair. 👍

Yeah that's legal (by a long way) Andy 👍

@Chris, you definitly need to buy your self CSP for Fanatec, the best thing about Fanatec is not the wheel itself....it's those pedals. Tried driving with it only once for short amount of time and was amazed with it....compared to G25 that I have at home now for about 6-7 months!👍

Cheers Zoky  That's the plan eventually - the missus has "agreed in principle" to the idea of a cockpit so I don't want to push my luck too much at this point... :sly: But she does seem quite encouraging about my "habit" :P

Another small step forward this evening:

T1: 27.650
T2: 33.621

I reckon I'm about at my limit so just chasing hundredths now I think...

Nice splits Andy, congrats on your newborn child too

Phillip

Thank you, Phillip. We named him Ayrton - a name GTP members should appreciate! He's one spry little guy.

You're being too kind regarding my splits. I can do a lot better!

I'm back!

After a manic couple of weeks at work, decided that this weekend I'm devoting it to WRS! Finally nice to sit down at the telly with the DFGT in hand again!

First splits from 10 laps.

T1: 29.602
T2: 34.942

Can see massive improvement from these times....

Nice to hit the WRS again!! :)

Welcome back, munch!
Congrats to you, Andy!
I need your photo to be clean as bad as you do, because that picture is the same line I took!

Hehe, cool. Get him on the wheel, hot-lapping, a.s.a.p.... "Drive before you can walk" :D And many congratulations mate.

Just noticed where my splits have placed me on the current leaderboard.... it probably won't carry through to the end of the week but hell, pretty damn pleased so far. [pats GT3 affectionately]

Ahh crap, sorry mate. Classic mistake... :dunce:

I wish that were true - I've been practising for about 13 years and can only dream about that last 4 to 7 tenths. Its called the talent wall and some of us can just not climb as high as others. Enjoy your flowers Ramon.
Don't worry mate, no offence taken. 👍

IMO if you think you can't climb as high as others maybe you are blocking yourself, hey, maybe this Honda advert can help in some way :D , BTW it's one of the best adverts I've ever seen.

Sorry mate I was in a bit of a hurry last night so I got it wrong, my bad!
Don't worry Zoky 👍 if I would have quoted pyxen I would have avoided any misunderstanding too.

That Honda advert is great!! :)

New splits. This lap is more consistent, but I'm still mooing. I'm hoping for two more tenths off my t2.

T1: 27.909
T2: 33.812

27.737
33.564

Same lap but it will update now. I can only see about 4 tenths, IF I can make magic happen.

Same as you with AS CSL, it feels so weird with AS on and not sure it suits my driving style. I spent about an hour with it today and it just doesn't feel like I'm controlling the car, with that, I just cannot use it, feels odd. I can't stop myself from responding with inputs to movements the AS is controlling.
Exactly what I would have said if I could put it that well. Spot-On man. 👍

My walls are usually broken by pushing until I crash, and restarting. If you haven't exceeded the limits, you can't know where they are, right?

EDIT: Anyone notice the split between 3rd and 9th is .122? Awesome! Looks like we'll all be visiting at the finish line ;)

CSL, leaderboard shows you as from UK. Come back across the pond! :)

Amazing moves up the board everyone! 👍

I know, I forgot to submit a country (USA) when I submitted my qualifier, lol. Guess I'll send Steven a PM.

Didn't quite nail T1, but this is my fastest T2 I think and I nailed the home stretch pretty nicely, so it was a tidy improvement.

Only change to setting from the ones posted in my last update is a BB of 7/5 rather than 7/4. 8/6 also works quite well and gives a bit more tail-wagging.

Still behind Chuk :\

As a fairly new 'wheel owner/operator' I have a very good recall (occasionally still use DS3) of how much harder it is.
I truly believe you'll benefit from a 8/4 or even 10/4 brake setting, combined with ABS 2-4. I say this because this Lotus is WAY easier to drive with a wheel, and I'm using those settings, so with a controller I'd want even more stability.

Wait a minute---How the hell are you adjusting brake bias without a wheel?
