Thanks Dan. Getting there I think. đź‘Ť

Hehe, Nizzy - might try a run tomorrow after a couple of beers. I'm usually totally clear headed to do a session but who knows...

Last run tonight:

25.548
24.259
20.551

Frantic. :scared:

Last splits for me..holidays in Colombia ooo YES!!

25.775
24.364
20.603

PD: Kevin, I love your car, but not with these tires...just kiddin', nice ride, way more powerful than my Hyundai

If a drink-driving rule is instituted, I'd be screwed!

Go Carlos!! A 49.9xx would be spectacular!!

All you guys submitting so early makes me long for the days of the one submission requirement. :mischievous:

I've been wondering about that. What was the basis for the decision to change? It wasn't really a problem only being able to submit once.

Edit: Sorry for the double post. My intention was to edit the first one.

I'm feeling fairly confident that I will be able to find a couple of tenths. Seen a 49.7 T2 and a few 1'10.3 without putting that much time into it yet.

Finally got a chance to do another session after my first one earlier this week. Still not happy with T1 and T3, T3 to finish was decent. New splits:

25.994
24.350
20.767

Here goes! First session gave me this:

T1: 26.181
T2: 25.209
T3: 20.981

My second didn't better it. Turn 1 is totally kicking my posterior so far. I might turn to drink, also.

I always submit only once, don't really know why do it more often.
Always keep my 2 fastest runs saved (in case 1 is dirty) and always try to improve until monday. Then I submit.

Movin' on up!
To the sky.

26.040
24.721
20.964

Hope to find some time on Sat for some online racing with you guys (OMRS),
but I'm going to see U2 that night, so might be a *little* distracted! :dunce:

I really like this combination, and I would not have believed I would ever say this about a 400+ bhp car with Comfort Softs!

Just one question: Who is ever using more than 2 gears this week? :sly:

Shaving a little off on this one, but the field seems to be very close this week, so a little could mean quite a move up the board.

It's not the ultimate lap I see myself doing, maybe 3 tenths or so more in it, but I'm not sure I'm going to go for it again.

T1: 25.794
T2: 24.367
T3: 20.713

I have been going quicker using 1st gear briefly on turn 1 (ignoring the slight kink as a turn) and the corkscrew. It can brake the car more and get you lined up quicker, so that you can brake a little later for both of those turns.

đź‘Ť Also for turning into the corkscrew - using 1st helps bring the back end round a bit - used with the right BB and some trail braking, you can induce a slight drift to get lined up for a faster exit from turn 1 and the corkscrew, shortshifting up to 2nd for traction.

Yay I've been placed in to a division, D1 Bronze, let's start running this then!

EDIT: Actually going to run it later! Any tips that I need to know before I start? Thanks :)

Nice jump!! You look in control of D4 this week! đź‘Ť

That's how I tried it, but I'm sure you did it much better, Chris. Did you find on this track that using just a little sand on some exits resulted in better traction as well?

Find difficult to improve on this combo :ouch:

Seen a lot of 49.9xx but always choke immediately after or at the corkscrew.
And when i go throught it´s not clean :banghead:

:guilty: As charged sir, I sometimes submit on Tuesday and don't submit again, I've got lazy and thought that will do :( sorry.

Phillip.

Not better traction but you can carry more exit speed by using the sand to "widen" the track - it doesn't seem to lose traction in the sand vs tarmac. The high speed left in sector 3 is the best example - using the sand both on the inside of the apex and the run off on the exit means you can carry quite alot of speed through there. :)

You explained it much better! đź‘Ť

Chris, on that left after T2 do you downshift to 2 or carry on 3 gear?
What brake point you use?

Can't remember what brake point I'm using - its kind of hit and hope a bit with that, but I'm barely dabbing the brakes there. (I'm not as accurate as Dan H - don't think, feel! :dopey:) Just a lift off, dab brakes, turn in - carry 3rd gear right through, full throttle exit.

Ran another session but was unable to beat my time although during the session I was able to perform .3xx's at T1 and T2 and a low .4 at T3, gonna have another run tomorrow.

Finally ran a time that i am happy with for the week probably still have nothing on the rest of you but here are the splits

S1: 0:26.573
S2: 0:24.962
S3: 0:20.954

Yeah I have a tip mate.....get the best possible time you can without submitting a dirty lap :sly:

The only tips I can give you is using 1st gear upon entering certain corners, which with your experience I am sure I don't need to spell out which corners they are, and obviously exiting these corners in second gear.

I don't fancy giving you any more tips, as from previous experience on the Forza motorsport series with you, I know how good you are in muscle cars. So I will leave you to work out the rest :sly:

Nice to see you have finally been placed, and good luck this week. One more thing.... please don't beat me :D

Still hating that first sector. And just threw away a 0.2 advantage at the corkscrew... that would've been a 20.3xx T3. Started seeing T2s in the 24.1s now but getting nowhere with T1. So slower splits but still up 0.1 at the line:

25.607
24.253
20.562

Nice splits Gravitron!! You're way ahead in Div4.
Ran about 10 laps this morning with no improvement. Just can't get into this week. Submitted my final time. Giving up early (again).

New split times, still gotta play around with the brake balance to make the most of my lap :)

T1: 25.630
T2: 24.229
T3: 20.332

First 2 sectors weren't too great, can definitely see about 3 more tenths in my lap though, damn the first turn!
