Not seeing these 23.3 and 23.2 T1s... bloody maniacs. Hit my limit in T1 - sick of hitting the damned wall!!

23.422
28.788

Lost a bit in 3rd and 4th sectors.... bottled it at the second tunnel. Still fun though, so I'll keep chasing for now.

Amazing T2 for a D4 MilleRSVR.... you wearing the right boots with that dress? :P

Nice Chris 👍

Just made a :dunce: as i choked with this splits, even so a small improvement at the line :banghead::banghead:

T1: 23.197
T2: 29.072

At least i have a ghost to follow now

Thanks Vagabond, I was surprised myself. I checked the replay right away to be sure, thought I must of cut a corner or something. Clean run thankfully.:)

Well I think I may have found why my T2 time dropped so dramatically.

I might have had SRF on and didn't realize it, since there's no way I know of checking I'll withdraw those times and not submit that replay.

I had been doing the new Seasonal races with the SRF on and I think I forgot to switch it off when I went into the Arcade mode. I just did 20 or so more laps and couldn't get close to that time again, so I think it must have been on.

Sorry about that guys.:dunce:

Corrected splits, hope Fetchy will update, not sure it takes slower times.

T1, 23.693
T2, 29.586

Just had an hour or so session. I found that the tenth i'm losing in T1 is down to the chicane. My best lap has an exit speed of 100-101mph, but i've seen 103-104 with a poorer turn 2 make a split of 23.230 but I finished a hundredth slower than my best :nervous: I reckon a 23.1xx is possible, but that first turn is all about luck.

In turn 2 3rd gear seems to be faster, but much harder to get it right under braking and get the apex. Again my driving style dictates that I need 2nd to be consistent, that works for me and so i've more chance of hooking the sector up with 2nd.

I've been experimenting with a dab of brakes into the fast left in T3 and it seems to help reach the apex but it's hit and miss as sometimes you reduce speed too much, it's just as difficult to nail as coasting through it.

I'm going to stop and leave my submitted time, I have packing to do for when I go away tomorrow.

Figured I'd keep the close call pics going this week.

MadMax86, I see your very close call, and raise you some red & white!

Fortunately I was sliding, and the corner was clean in the end, but it took a lot of replay views to be sure :D

Interesting combo this week Kevin. 👍
The car is just fast enough to create different options regarding corners for me. Brake or ease up and lift in at least 3 corners.
2nd gear or third(?) in a couple corners (with uphill / downhill considerations making the choice a bit harder - esp in Turn 2, for me anyway).
Should make for some interesting podium / comparison videos :)
Now to just get in one :sly:

Crap!!!
Good thing I know it now.
Don't want to be submitting a dirty lap.
I'll be checking my current best lap...
Thanks guys 👍

It isn't, EDK already said so, it's concrete.:)

I was sure the concrete was out of bounds, but I did check first, as I misunderstood the rule last week and thought MadMax's pic was out of bounds due to being inside of the rumble strip, but it wasn't 👍
Regardless, I appreciate the checking guys. Better safe than DQ'd :)

Using the line in my pic, I was able to maintain 167 km/h down the straight.
Not sure I could do that twice (cleanly :dopey:) especially seeing as it becomes a bit of a roller coaster ride in that crazy chicane!

Not sure how much more of this I can take, it's so frustrating having to go all the way around the track to start a new lap because I can't get the first corner right. Half the laps I put in happen to be the ones that I want to bin and start over after messing up that first turn, but you can't because you end up loosing a few MPH for the start of the first lap :banghead:

It's so difficult to be consistent, it's going to be a challenge to beat the time I have, as now it's T1 giving me all the problems and not T3

T1: 24.064
T2: 29.488

T1: 23.939
T2: 29.413

I've had faster T1, I've had faster T2, but I can't combine them, and this is my fastest overall time so far...

Still a long way to go to be competitive...

I tried reversing up the hill and going back down, but the only way to do it is all the way through the tunnel. I usually cross the line at 111mph, but the best I have done from scratch is 108.

New splits. Big improvement overall.

23.547
29.169

Done with BB on 1/3. TCS off, ABS on 1, everything else off.

Checked. Fortunately I'm clean there. :)
I did lose a lot of speed there as I only made 163Km/h on that straight :ouch:

C'mon Speedy, you aren't even trying, there's a good 8 inches of room there! :P
Low to mid 160's is where I'm usually at speed wise too, but I wouldn't say a lot of speed has been lost, especially considering the straight ends in about 3 seconds once the car misses the wall, and is strightened out.
167 is my best speed (with a very, very close cut) but I'd be comfortable with anything at or over 160 at all.
I think the corners matter way more than a couple hundred metres missing 4-5 km/h or so. 👍 (especially since my 167 T1 is ~.100 slower than your 163 T1)

I thought I cut it more. You're right, I have plenty of space left.
I just realy want that 168 and a perfect next turn. If I can keep the rest of my lap the same I will be satisfied. But I'm afraid it won't happen :scared:

Just want to say way to go my fellow D3-ers!
I haven't had any time to run in the last day and a half or so.
Last time I checked the leaderboards I was on top for D3, checked again and 4 of the D3-ers were above me.:scared:
I love the competition every week and good job guys.👍
Hopefully I get more time to run again in the next couple days...so watch out D3.;)

Also, nice splits NINE_HUNDRED way to step up the competition for D4!

Nice Chris 👍

T1: 23.197
T2: 29.072

I thought I did a pretty good T1 for our division but you did an even better one. Nice job.👍

T1: 23.723
T2: 29.279

Decent improvement in overall lap, but I still have yet to cleanly finish a single lap where I excel in the first corner. I saw a low 52's once through T2, but not sure how that happened and can't replicate it yet -- somehow I hit the inside wall of the 2nd tunnel on that lap which has never happened on any other lap :banghead:... figures.

Back to the kamikaze turn 1... I can only manage 100 mph at best when I make it clean through there and usually around 97-98 mph so I'm thinking that's holding my T1 back significantly. How anyone can get through there at 106 I don't know. Must be the approach angle I'm taking or something.

Turn 3 I can only manage at 58 mph and can't keep the min speed closer to 61... I'm trying 3rd gear, but wondering since I can't manage 61 if I'm better off just to go into 2nd... have to experiment more tomorrow.

I'd think a combo like this would suit me, but the tenths are coming slow and painful like.

On the upside, installed a monitor on my obutto cockpit today instead of parking the rig in front of a wall mounted TV (which is really a bit too high)... makes a big difference and seems easier to hit my marks... unfortunately it didn't magically give me D1 speed :grumpy:

First splits on Friday:

23.689
29.659

Lots of time left on the track, but I won't have much time before the deadline to find it.

Update:-

23.594
28.882

Slower splits but two tenths quicker at the line.:) I can still find 1-2 tenths in T1 but I don't know if I can hold it over the lap.:nervous:

T1: 23.516
T2: 28.837

After a reset on Lap 1 I set my new best lap time by 3 tenths...with a poor compared to my best T1. Go figure.

Phillip I finally matched your D1 like T2 you set early I might add. Dude your good.:)👍
